Everyone's got a reason to despise them!

Riise was a very good player. One of my favorites at Liverppol back then and it's surprising what happened to him. Finnan was always mediocre

UNITED IN POST-MATCH BUST-UP Chelsea's groundstaff were involved in a post-match bust-up with Manchester United players during a warm-down session at Stamford Bridge.
United's Patrice Evra, Paul Scholes, John O'Shea, Gerard Pique and Gary Neville were taking part in the warm-down on the pitch when they were asked to move by Chelsea groundstaff.
The row erupted when the players refused to come off the pitch and an altercation broke out between Chelsea stewards, groundstaff and the United players.
Chelsea had earlier beaten Manchester United 2-1 to go level on points at the top of the Barclays Premier table.
Chelsea are to examine CCTV footage of the incident. A spokesman for the club told PA Sport: "We will be studying the relevant CCTV and camera footage in a bid to establish the best and most appropriate course of action."

PFA Player of the Year: Cristiano Ronaldo (for the second successive season).
PFA Young Player of the Year: Cesc Fabregas
PFA's Premier League Team of the Year:
David James (Portsmouth); Bacary Sagna (Arsenal), Ferdinand, Vidic, Gael Clichy (Arsenal); Ronaldo, Steven Gerrard (Liverpool), Cesc Fabregas (Arsenal), Ashley Young (Aston Villa); Emmanuel Adebayor (Arsenal), Fernando Torres (Liverpool).
--------------------------
TBH I think it's pathetic to put Clichy ahead of Evra. The rest is OK.

Apr 28 2008, 12:23 AM
Laursen, Lescott, Keane/Santa Cruz should be in there instead of Vidic, Clichy and Adebayour in my opinion. I don't think Sagna should be there either, but I couldn't think of a better RB.
dst
Apr 28 2008, 01:21 AM
(I have not seen many matches apart from Arsenal's ones but...)
Sagna was very good this season, above anyone else. Clichy is certainly better than Evra but he should not have been there cause he made some crucial mistakes.
Flamini was much more consistent than Fabregas, I don't think the Spaniard deserves it ahead of him.
Vidic is simply the best CB in the EPL along with John Terry and Toure (with a considerable distance from the rest) but only the Serbian was great for the whole season.
edit: And of course CR was the best of them all.

Derby really are bad, 11 points in 36 games with a -62 GD is really terrible, worst team in EPL history.

Apparently Sven had a meeting with the owner earlier today. The general consensus is that he's been given the boot. Stupid mistake by the owners in my opinion, a manager can't work miracles in one year - Unless he's Jose Mourinho.

from going something like 11 goals @ home in a season to a one of the top 8 sides in england in IMO is pretty darn good.

Nah, they're doing pretty poor for the amount of money they spent. They're lucky Spurs and Newcastle have had horrible seasons too. Though it's never right to sack a manager after one season unless he's done a terrible job - which Sven hasn't.
