FT Fulham 1-0 Everton. Brian McBride MotM.

At the top..
-Everton are now 3 points behind Liverpool, and Liverpool have the best form in the EPL over the last 6 games. I think it's theirs for the taking (4th place, that is).

At the bottom..
-A huge win for Fulham, they're now only 3 points from safety. Any 2 of Fulham, Bolton, Wigan, Sunderland, Newcastle and Birmingham can realistically go down. I pray for Newcastle and Birmingham.

Liverpool have harder fixtures than Everton until the end.

It's about the same, in my opinion. Liverpool play more games because of the CL, but they have a much bigger squad, Everton only have about 20 players.

Evertons game ---- Liverpools game
H West Ham ------- A Man United
A Liverpool -------- H Everton
H Derby ------------ A Arsenal
A Birmingham ----- H Blackburn
H Chelsea --------- A Fulham
H Villa ------------- A Birmingham
A Arsenal ---------- H Man City
H Newcastle ------- A Tottenham

Liverpool do have CL QFs with Arsenal, then SFs with Chelsea and a final against United to go with that. wink.gif Their only problem will be getting rest between each game.
kurtsimonw
Man City 0-1 Spurs, Keane. Man City are so pathetic it's funny, and enjoyable. All this hype about a bunch of girls that dive all over the place, no home wins for 3 months. No Europe, no nothing. Awesome. biggrin.gif

I used to like Man City, but I really don't like Petrov and Elano, they just dive way too often and are clearly a negative influence on the team. I don't like the way they just complain about everythin gunless they're the centre of attention.

I do prefer them to United, though. tongue.gif

Man City 1-1 Spurs. Ireland, should have been given offside. dry.gif

And Eboue should stop diving... or at least start diving when there's at least a little touch...

Whaaat? I only saw that one now... that was so stupid, reckless and dangerous it certainly deserved a red card!

I have to disagree, his foot wasn't even that high, Clichy bent down, and Mido did not once take his eyes off the bal. Well, he got a red card, so it obviously wasn't, since when do EPL refs ever get anything right? Did you see the Muntari and Mellberg sendings off at the weekend? laugh.gif

Just watched the highlights... you can't be serious... both sending off's were perfectly correct... You probably want the game to be a bit tough but to me, shirt pulling and fouling from behind are unsporting deeds that deserve a yellow. The only thing I would have done differently would be to give a straight red to Muntari for his foul on Reo-Cocker! There's dangerous play and then there's butchering... I think Muntari crossed that line there and Reo-Cocker was lucky not to get injured from that! I think such tackles should be heavily punished.

On another note, a nice goal from Defoe and a terribly unlucky (but I have to admit a bit funny biggrin.gif ) own-goal from Reo-Cocker.
kurtsimonw
It was a nice goal from Defoe, though I think questions have to be asked about Carson for that one. The 2nd goal was horribly unlucky, summed up our day. dry.gif

HT Birmingham 1-0 Newcastle.

Big relegation battle, I can't really lose, I want both/either to go down.

EDIT: 1-1, Owen. Worst defending ever. laugh.gif
Portman
Always liked Defoe. He's proving his class on Pompey.
kurtsimonw
Yeah, he's had a good start at Portsmouth.

FT Birmingham 1-1 Newcastle. Good result as they're both still in trouble, them both going down would be too good to be true.
Darunia
If Chelsea win at spurs they'll be level with Arsenal at 67 pts! I hope the Gunners finish 3rd, the game at Stamford Bridge will be huge this weekend.

Man Utd 2-0 Bolton

did Ronaldo just break the all-time scoring record or something?
Tennie
Whoa. 4-4? Impressive. Good job to Spurs for getting a (very high scoring) draw.
kurtsimonw
What a game that was. There's been 3 4-4 draws this season, weird how it's been the same 3 teams that have played in those games, too.

Why is c.ronaldo captain for manchester ? Thats an insult to the veterans of the club.

Starting line-up from tonight.

Kuszczak
Hargreaves
Pique
Vidic
O'Shea
Ronaldo
Fletcher
Anderson
Nani
Saha
Tevez

Only O'Shea, Fletcher and Saha have been in the first team squad longer than Ronaldo, but they're bench players. Ronaldo was the longest serving starer in the line-up.

Of wingers / goals in Man Utd. The record was 32 by George Best.

ATM Cristiano Ronaldo has 33.

rolleyes.gif What an achievement for someone who should be playing on the wing.
kurtsimonw
I suppose it's just what somebody defines as a winger. Many would say Thierry Henry was as he liked to play wide on the left rather than through the middle. Meh.
Jack Sparrow
It's not the same 4-4-2 as it used to be in Beckham's time.

It's more of a 4-3-3, with Cris as a winger forward. Like how I hear Jairizinho used to be for Brazil.

Tomorrow... big Sunday

13.30 GMT:
Man Utd - Liverpool

16:00
Chelsea - Arsenal

The only bonus from my Villla point of day will be that Sunderland winning has put Blues right in the sh!t, especially since they lost and Newcastle + Reading won as well.

Everton pretty much handed Liverpool 4th spot today.

The ref is clearly on Man Utd side. Once again.

That yellow for Torres is pathetic. That's why Masch was sent off.

Great job the ref. Another title for the cnuts.

I have to agree with you there, IMO he couldn't get that second yellow out quick enough. Admittedly Mascherano shouldn't have said anything but the ref should have ushered him away before brandishing the card. The annoying thing is that the next time this sort of thing happens to a different ref nothing will come of it.

Rooney, Terry, Lampard, Gerrard and Rio shout, insult, do whatever they want at the refs. Why? Because they're English.

Masch and Torres can't even open their mouths. Best league in the world my ar$e.

They're talking about it on Sky now and the decision looks ridiculous, Andy Gray cannot believe it! In fact he and Jamie Redknapp are having a great argument smile.gif

The ref fvcked himself up by carding Torres for nothing, had he not done that then none of this would have happened.

Yet again a big game is spoilt by a ref.

2nd or 3rd time this season a ref "kills" Liverpool on a big match.
I_Rossoneri
Torres is wasted playing like this, it reminds me of when we play with two DM's. Gerrard done absolutely nothing as well.
I_Rossoneri
It does seem that Manu have got away with a fair few fouls today, although IMO they have been the better team.

Liverpool playing much better since Benayoun come on.
