Even his assist with Rooney was lucky, that was meant to go to Evra. tongue.gif

But R+R were the difference today, just class. Teves really is a bad player, he missed 2 or 3 very easy chances. They need to replace him with a real player to partner Rooney. And if they play like they did today for the rest of the season, nobody can catch them.

Huntelaar would fit.

This makes me feel so much better.

It's like you found out your girlfriend has been cheating on you and you break up, then you find out you're in the last 3 for win a date with keira knightley. wub.gif

Dude... That's just not how you would want to approach this.

You're actually like a proper Newcastle fan, a win and things are all rosey again. I suppose it's not all bad with the Magpies winning. Another season of Keegan in charge? Yes please. biggrin.gif

I can't believe how bad this "derby" has been, it gets so hyped up but always fails to deliver. It isn't even a derby atmosphere, the players don't seem to care either, terrible.
Jack Sparrow
I was never very good with analogies....

But since the primary emotion here is love(for clubs vs for girls) it was the best I could come up with.

I'll try harder next time....

One word: COMEBACK.
Jack Sparrow
Huh??

So whatcho guys do??

Bet you didn't beat anybody 4-1??

Run and hide Locke...the magpies are coming for you... biggrin.gif biggrin.gif

No seriously..how did the Gunners match go?

EDIT

@kurt: What'd mean you one victory and everything's rosy again?? Dude..this is the second victory. We're on a streak baby!!! tongue.gif And we beat on paper one of the strongest teams in England, with one of the canniest coaches in Europe. And we beat it with a team, that makes Milan's bench look strong. biggrin.gif

Magpies magpies...whatcho gonna do...whatcho gonna do when we come for you..

Sing along verybody...it's done to the Bad Boys theme tune. biggrin.gif

I'm euphoric...is it very obvious to everyone?? unsure.gif

You misunderstood. I was serious. That's not how you would want to approach Keira Knightley. It says all the wrong things.
kurtsimonw
They were 2-0 down at Bolton at half time, with only 10 men. They won 3-2.

Don't worry, Newcastle will be back to losing ways soon enough. Winning at Spurs will mean nothing when they lose the derby game. biggrin.gif
Jack Sparrow
It wasn't meant to relate to appraoching Keira Knightley.

It's like I was meaning to say:

Something that's next to impossible and really bad happens, and you're shattered, and something that's equally impossible, but really good happens at the same time. So your emotions are on a delicate scale. biggrin.gif

But since you're talking...how should I approach Keira?? It's one of the things in my bucket list. Have dinner with her.

@kurt: Sour grapes. You're just jealous, Newcastle's defence is better than Villa's. 1goal conceded vs. 4. tongue.gif

Bring on that derby. Ain't payback a biatch!! Heh heh heh... devil.gif

Sure. So what do you want? What is your desired outcome? Just dinner with her?
Jack Sparrow
At least....oh and I want to make her laugh..just once. And I want her to kiss me goodnight... wub.gif

In the real 3d world , that's about all I could expect. Maybe it's too much....

In the fantasy world...I'd have R7 will over all his money to me...then I'd buy West Ham (her favourite club) and we'd win Champions League and then I'd announce to the whole world that we'd be getting married the next week.

I still can't see him surviving the closed style of Serie A. EPL seems to be a great fit for him.
We need a couple Torres-like transfers to avoid the same fate(Uefa Cup) next season.
Jack Sparrow
So what is Torres's natural hair colour? I thought he was a blonde guy...

Nah, his natural hair colour is pretty close to that picture. He dies his hair frequently and i must admit he does look better with blonde hair.

QUOTE
Liverpool boss Rafa Benitez has defended his record in the transfer market during his time at Anfield.

He told The Times: "At a time when we didn't have endless economic resources, I think that we made good signings in general. We should be talking about players like Reina, Agger, Mascherano, Xabi Alonso, Luis Garcia, Torres, Babel, Lucas Leiva, Skrtel and also Arbeloa, Sissoko, Fabio Aurelio, Kuyt. These are players who have brought a lot to the team. And in certain cases for example, Sissoko and Bellamy the club gained financially.

We have signed 28 players in four years for the first team. (ohmy.gif What happened to the dudes already there!!)Considering that the number of changes we had to make when I arrived and the fact that without much money we have to take more risks, I don't think this is a disproportionate number."

Benitez also compared his spending with Liverpool's nearest rivals.

"Chelsea had spent £120 million previously and an additional £240 million to win the league in the 2004-05 season. Manchester United have spent £200 million in recent years. This year on Carlos Tevez, Owen Hargreaves, Anderson and Nani, that cost them more than £70 million. Tottenham have spent £100 million in the last two seasons alone. And Arsenal have spent more or less the same amount as we have on young players with potential.<> "In my four years at Liverpool we have spent £150 million and we have gained somewhere in the region of £70 million. Looking at those numbers, there's a difference of £20 million per season, yet we have won four [trophies] and played seven finals. When all things are considered, that's not a bad return. I think that we're on the right path."

If Serie A doesn't do something about TV revenue it's screwed.

It's from tribal football. But since it's not a rumour thing...I thought there might be something in it. The info given is very significant.

To bad Milan don't publish financial records. That's the trouble with being a privately owned enterprise.

Does anyone have any idea of giving us a breakdown. R7 was supposed to look up the figures on the net...but he couldn't find it I guess.

Don't forget we spent around 50 mill extra repairing the bloody stadium, to be fit for our CL ties(after the fan violence). Our 'glorious' cousins, didn't spend a dime, since they were already kicked out, and weren't gonna get jack shite. rolleyes.gif

Arsenal vs Liverpool - 12:45 (GMT)
-Hyppia has agreed a new deal to keep him at Liverpool until June 2009.

Arsenal line-up

Almunia

Hoyte - Toure - Gallas - Traore

Eboue - Fabregas - Gilberto - Flamini

Walcott - Bendtner

Subs: Lehmann, Clichy, Song, Hleb, Adebayour

Liverpool line-up

Reina

Finnan - Carragher - Skrtel - Arbeloa

Pennant - Benayoun - Lucas - Plessis - Riise

Crouch

Subs: Itandje, Hyypia, Gerrard, Torres, Voronin.

Seems a very silly line-up from Rafa in my opinion. Does he honestly think they have 4th place wrapped up? If they lose today and Everton win, which looking at the Liverpool line-up is highly likely, it's only 2 points between them.

Bendtner passing the ball to Reina instead of shooting... maybe he IS crap? rolleyes.gif

What the hell are we doing today?
We defeated Milan 2-0 at San Siro, but at home we're losing to a Liverpool team with Skrtel, Arbeloa, Plessis and Riise playing?

I think you agree Arsenal have weakened a bit... they're no longer the team that beat Milan in San Siro...

FT 1-1. Fair enough.

Lucas and Plessis did a good job on the Liverpool side. Bendtner was good on the Arsenal's one.

Theo is just about speed. Only that.

Gareth Barry was so close to getting his first career hat-trick. sad.gif But still a class game from him, 2 goals + 2 assists from our cap'n. I hope you're watching Fabio, he's NOT a DM, NOT A DM!

Decent result for Liverpool today with a weak team. I don't think Everton will catch them now, and Arsenal look out of the title race with so few games remaining. Can't believe Fabregas messed that chance up in the last minute. ohmy.gif

You must be kidding!!! That guy was useless... I wonder how can he be a player of such a club as Liverpool... is he giving head to Rafa or something?

Voronin was really bad today... he's not playing much and it has affected his game. Crouch was very good, why was he subbed?

I wasn't kidding.

Crouch played 80min alone upfront. Bit tired uh?

Crouch looked great today. smile.gif

But it's a shame, he seems to score whenever he plays, but there's no way Rafa will play him. Ah well, he only has 14 months left on his contract and the intetrview he gave on Match of the Day shows he isn't happy at all with never playing. He need regular football elsewhere.
