I'm happy with this draw (especially compering to some other groups). We will progress without any problem.

Benfica lost a few key players and not as stronger this season as used to be. Celtic have a mediocre start this year and was playing bad against Spartak. Shakhtar bought some good players like Lucarelli and Castillo, and away it will be a very dificult game but nothing we can't handle.

I am a little wary.

Celtic: A few years ago we had them in the groups. Drew away, scored 2 late goals to win at home. Last year we needed extra time to beat them - We don't have that luxury this time round.

Benfica: We won't win in Portugal, we should win at home.

Shakhtar: Eastern European teams are historically good at home, I'd be happy with a draw away and a win at home.

We should all be happy with qualifying, it's a very tough group.

I agree. Celtic at Glascow will be the most difficult game for us in my view...

I think we won't go through easily because that's usually they way it is when we play low-profile teams but we will do it comfortably...

I think you are exaggerating a little. The other 3 will be fighting for the second spot.

Well. Interesting draw. Chelsea-Valencia and MU-Roma in the same respective groups this go round. I'd imagine that some folks (ROMA?) will be thinking about payback this go round.

At a quick glance, I'd say that Milan got a relatively easy draw. The away Shakhtar tie will be difficult (anyone know if they play on artificial turf?) as will the game at Parkhead. Much as I adore Benfica, they're playing like shite this year after having sold off so many players and fired their coach. I think a win at Luz is possible. (And given the $500 RT flights to Lisbon, I may try to get there for the game).

It's a harder group than last year, and I felt we struggled. I think we'll go through, don't get over-confident. You know what happens when we do!

Group A: Liverpool - Porto - Marseilla - Besiktas (Liverpool would breeze through here)

Group B: Chelsea - Valencia - Schalke - Rosenborg (Valencia and Chelsea , but Schalke are no push overs either, so ..)

Group C: Real Madrid - Werder Bremen - Lazio - Olympiakos (Very tricky group ..)

Group D: AC Milan - Benfica - Celtic - Shakhtar Donetsk. (Milan wont have a problem with topping this group )

Group E: Barcelona - Lyon - Stuttgart - Rangers (Easily Barca and Lyon respectively, they are the most experienced of the bunch)

Group F: Manchester United - Roma - Sporting Lisbon - Dynamo Kiev. ( I know Roma are already grinning !!! They want their revenge FORZA ROMA - I believe United and Roma will go through )

Group G: Inter Milan - PSV - CSKA Moscow - Fenerbahce. (Inter has the quality to see it's way through this group, followed by PSV or CSKA)

Group H: Arsenal - Sevilla/AEK - Steaua Bucharest - Slavia Prague. (Do I need to comment, first place is reserved for the French, ey Porty )

It was normal turf when Olympiacos played there last season (I think)...

i think we got a good draw...it's not the easiest group, but we are a much better team now than when we started last season. especially the celtic series...i don't think you can compare the beginning of this season with the beginning of last season...we had just lost sheva, gone through a scandal, and most of our players had no rest. we're ready this year and i see us easily taking the top of our group.

i think the first matches are at september 18/19
