Werder are just too stupid....after 2 losses against Olympiakos they don't deserve to be among the last 16 while the greeks played unspectular but effective football.
Now Schalke will be the only german team in the CL next...can't say I'm full of hopes that they make it to the quarterfinals...

I was really expecting Werder to do better than this. Schalke most probably wont challenge past the first knockout. The German challenge will have to wait a year

Milan's possible opponents: Liverpool, Schalke, Olympiacos, Rangers, Fenerbahçe and Arsenal.
I think I'd prefer Schalke. They are not the weakest of the above teams but for some reason I think they suit us better.
The draw is this coming Friday I believe.

Hmm... I don't think so. They are much better than Fener while everyone considers them to be on the same level. It wouldn't be easy cause we'd underestimate them. I don't want weird teams like this one they have nothing to lose and they have enough power to create damage. It's Lyon or Schalke for me.

I dunno about Schalke....they're very strong at home they have a great defense and an amazing GK. They're attack hasn't much class though. In the OM Özil and Rakitic are too young and unexperienced and the only good striker they have is Kuranyi. Altintop (or as the call him in Gelsenkirchen: Altinflop), Lövenkrand and Asamoah are no good.
I would go for for Fener or the Rangers, though L'Arsenal would be a nice challenge.

Usually we are not in our top for in February yet, so a 'small' team like Fenerbahce/Rangers/Olympiacos would be great for 1/8 before we meet the big guns in 1/4 and 1/2. Just like Celtic last year and Sparta few years back.

3 United fans have been stabbed in Rome city centre. The injuries are not serious, though.
I hate to say this as a Milan fan, but Italian clubs need to be kicked out of Europe. When English fans cause trouble, we get punished, it seems everyone else can do what they want, it's getting quite ridiculous.
Italian fans have caused alot of trouble in football related matters, during and outside of matches, in recent years. It's about time something is done.

I don't think there's special treatment for Italian teams. In any case, it's wrong to punish a club for what their fans are doing unless they encourage them to do it or neglect to restrain them inside the stadium. You truly believe Roma should face a penalty because of what some idiots did 10 miles away from the stadium?

There's been enough incidents in recent years inside the stadium also.
I completely agree with this. Which is why I want to know why English teams were kicked out of Europe after Heysel. I could maybe understand if the game was in England, but it wasn't so it's not like Liverpool were in charge of controlling their own fans. The biggest joke to me is why other English teams got punished for doing nothing.I think it's only fair the same kind of punishment is handed out. UEFA need to be consistant with these sorts of things, otherwise it's completely unfair.

You can't equate what happened at Heysel (INSIDE the stadium) with stabbings miles from the stadium. It's not the same thing.
And at the risk of really alienating a lot of people, I will point out that English traveling support - at least the traveling support I've seen (MU actually) are a scary group of people. In other words, they're no angels. In any event until the facts are known, it's perhaps a little harsh to blame the Roma fans for the stabbing.

There's been enough incidents inside stadiums in recent years, I'm not saying this is the only thing Italian fans have done. Anders Frisk being hit by a coin thrown by a Roma fan, the ridiculous flare incident in the Inter-Milan CL game. There's been a few games postponed due to crowns problems in Serie A this season, also.(P.S. My point in Heysel was not the incident, but the punishment. I don't see how any English teams, besides Liverpools fans, had anything to do with that, yet were still punished.)
I'm not saying United fans are angels, but it does seem that English fans are automatically presumed to be hooligans by everyone. Even when we're the victims the first thing people always jump to is that we start the violence.
