Berlusconi: "Forget Italy, I am the one who lost the World Cup because I was about to sell Balotelli to an English club for €35 million, but after such a World Cup performance, who's going to buy him now?"
LinkI guess he's referring to Arsenal, since they seemed quite interested in Balotelli, but after the WC, Wenger suddenly came out and said they're not interested in him.
Shame. €35 million would have been a steal.

And he can play on both sides right? He played on the left for Croatia in the WC but he's naturally a RB
With the way both Abate and DS have become injury prone we really do need that cover, and that seriously cannot be Constant or Bonera.

Actually no. He's a RB, playing on the left isn't natural and he's done it only because of our dire situation (Strinić and Pranjić both being injured).
Vrs-ailko. That's maybe the simplest way to pronounce.

Great to hear about the exodus going on. Even if most of them are on loan I'm hoping this is either as way to mitigate the wage situation until some of the contracts run out or with the hope of getting some decent money should Matri do well at Genoa.
Vrsaljko seems like a good bit of business as well as long as it does not mean we're about to sell Abate

News:
-Raoila has asked for 3m for a contract extention for abate. He currently earns 1.8m. Milan have not responded. PSG are prepared to bid 10m for him. It looks as if Milan will sell the player.
-Matri and vrsajilko are on the verge of a loan switch. Milan will help pay part of matri's wages. With this deal, a buyout clause of 8m euros has been negotiated. All that remains is Gilardino's approval to leave genoa. Within this deal, we are also given a first option on Perin. We could look to purchase him on a co-ownership this season, galliani has identified him as Abbiati's replacement, but Genoa wants him to be their 1st gk this season and then is willing to sell him.
-Niang and Kucka could also make a loan swap as well.
-Galliani has met Torino over a possible move for Cerci. Torino want 20m euros, while galliani is look at 15m. Negotations could reach a deal around 17 to 18m Cerci will be milan's target if they fail to land Iturbe.
-Negotations on Robinho are proceeding quickly. He could be sold for 3-4m to an MLS club.
-Galliani has changed his offer for Itrube from 28m to 30m, meeting Verona's clause. The last 2 million will be performance based. 17m straight cash, 11m in installments, 2m in performance. Juve have upped their offer to 26m and quaq. However, quaq is still reluctant to move to verona as his wages would get cut by 50%
-Juventus are close to Morata. They bid 15m while madrid has asked for 25m. A deal could be reached around 20m.
-Juve is close to signing Evra for 3m.
-Inter have made contacts for Pato.
-Sanchez is close to arsenal for 46m euros. 40 +6 bonus.
-Torino are ready to bid for Quaqlierella if Cerci leaves.
-Valencia have told Adil Rami that he is not to join the club in preseason training. Milan are still waiting on ownership talks to resolve before finalizing the transaction. Milan have bid 3.5m while valencia want 5m.
-Balotelli looks to leave as Raiola has begun work on finding a suitable club for the patron. Barbara Berlusconi is looking to get all players associated with Raiola out of the club. If Balotelli leaves, we will launch a move for Jackson Martinez.
-Inter have asked about De Jong, we said no. Same with United.
-Napoli are close to signing Michu from swansea.
-Inter are duking it out with lazio over David Astori.
-United have bid 50m euros and Nani for Vidal, juventus said no.

I haven't read good things about the Croatian fullback we are in for. Not sure if this is a good movie. From the looks of it, he seems little better than Antonini. And Antonini loved the club, so he had that going for him.
What does Filippo think of Vrsaljko?
Fillipo Simone
Jul 8 2014, 08:30 AM
Well, I'm not sure either.
He's a natural right fullback who still has a lot to prove. He started well but the year prior his Genoa move he completely fell out of form and wasn't called up for the national team. I didn't watch him closely at Genoa, but he was more then solid when I turned in.
He could be another Antonini for all I know. With these fullback you never know. Oddo came in with us as a offensive fullback, yet he never managed to do just that. Antonini was highly praised and had a great season under Leo, then started rather badly. No one had anything bad about Mesbah or Constant to say, yet both turned out average or worse. So well, let's see how Vrsaljko will do.

That's why it's important to keep Abate. We have no idea how Vrsaljko will turn out for us. I just hope that the rumors which suggest that Abate has asked for a raise from €1.8 million to €3 million are not true, otherwise he's out of his mind. F*cking Raiola!

Maybe just cover for DS on the right, and Abate sold to free up room on the wage bill for a recruit somewhere else.
I am curious about Inzaghi, every body at the club is talking about this enthusiasm and charge he is bringing. I hope it does not blow up in his face, as it did Seedorf
