If Kaka' does return, then I really hope Allegri decides to track Boateng back to a more defensive role. Him, Montolivo and Van Bommel would provide more than enough cover.

+1. Agreed. smile.gif I do hope we go for both Aqua and Montolivo if we can get them both cheap. We have all seen the best of both these chaps (unlike someone like Ganso who is still unproven and potentially reach higher hieghts), both have Serie A experience, and if we can get both for 15-16 million + Kaka loan, then I'll be one happy camper.

That's three creative players, who can service the attack well, and we'll have injury cover as well.

I like the thought of that happening biggrin.gif.

Heck, I like the sound of you liking the thought of that happening. laugh.gif tongue.gif See the Aquaman is in a bit of a flux right now, with him being not in the plans of the Liverpool coach. Same goes with the fully Monty, who pretty much being the next captain of Fiorentina is seeking a way out now. Both clubs and players will be somewhat desperate to come to us.

Now what we'll get is a proven champion in Kaka, and two lads with unfulfilled potential combing into one super combo player who can provide that bit of a creative spark at will. Two of these are injury prone as well, so that means we'll have more than adequate cover in this regard. wink.gif I'd probably have gone for Poli as well if we were shopping local. And I'd happily sacrifice both Cassano and Flamini to get there.

And keep Paloschi, Inzaghi, Robinho, Pato and Ibra as our forward line - with Kaka slipping up further upfront as needed.
il_diavolo_mtl
I can't beleive we are getting Kaka, if this holds any truth i am fed ex-ing dung to Galliani's estate. I just really hope they misspelled Kucka, who for 1/5th of the wages, would offer, if nothing else, a solid creative mid that isn't made of glass or hears divine voices in his head.
milanbuf88
My biggest concern with having Kaka come back is how much will he cost? I think its clear that he would help the team if he stays healthy but he better be coming damn cheap. Otherwise we should spend the money where it could be more useful. I'd take Aquilani at ~15 mil and Ganso at ~20 mil over Kaka at ~35 mil any day.

more like Aqua -10M
Ganso- >30M
Kaka -loan + probably option to buy for like 20-25M (they will want as much as possible to recover loss)
Bluesummers
probably cost around 20m mark paid over 3 years.

Though I love Kaka and would be glad to see him back, I would love fabregas more.

I find that slightly hard to believe. I mean we got 68m for him just two years ago. That would be a HUGE loss for Madrid. Good business for us but I would still rather we go after someone younger, less injury prone, and with the potential to help us for the next 5-10 years.
X-Offender
We'd be getting him on loan. If keeps getting injured, then we simply won't opt for the option to purchase him next summer. Of course, if he keeps getting injured, that would compromise our objectives for this season. It's half a gamble, but my sentimental side pushes for it to happen.

Why 3 years ?

installments. We'll probably pay 12m first year and 4m and 4m.

So we don't have to take the burden of a massive 20m on our shoulder. Ibra deal is 8m a year for 3 years.

He's making around 10m on wages per year. Yes its a massive loss but he ways down their budget heavily and takes up a spot for a player who could be performing and making that much.

For madrid, they'll take the loss just to get him off their wage bill.
Zed.D
Kaka would be another Sheva all over. for our sake, we must avoid this!!

I'd rather we wait until January for Ganso.
Fillipo Simone
I think we're gonna go for the cheapest solution, and that's about it. One player will come if you ask me, maybe - and just maybe - two!

I just read that Axel Witsel joined Benfica. biggrin.gif Btw...anyone know how that Moutinho kid is playing.

True.10m is a huge wage. How much will he have to drop that for us to take him? At least 5m? Maybe lower?

That's about right, we no longer have Pirlo's or Dinho's huge wages on our payroll so the management have more room to flex their muscles when offering contracts.

Not to mention some other wages that have been removed like Janku's for example who also got a good amount considering the fact that he did nothing but sit on the bench

He still has 4 years of contract with Madrid, that is €40 million of savings for them.

As for Kaka', he'll probably lower his wage to 6-7 million max, which I think we can afford.

Ah ok. I didn't know the length of his contract. That savings would make up for the lost transfer fee (somewhat). The question then becomes is he worth it at 6-7 million? I'd have a hard time justifying it. At 4.5-5m it looks more attractive but I'm not fond of the idea that we would be gambling this season on Kaka's health/form.

If we do get Kaka, I hope it'd be a regular loan rather than like an Ibra deal with an commitment to buy. We still can get a good year out of him, but he'll be 30 next year and we need a better long term solution.

Well, if he performs well, then we'd want to keep him.

I'm still not sold on this deal though. Judging from what he's been posting in Twitter, the guy seems very committed to a good season with Madrid, saying how he believes this will be the right season yadda yadda. Not to mention that not a single major Italian website has reported any such rumor.

Isn't this the case always? innocent.gif Pretty much every time we make a big transfer, the media is either kept outside the loop, or smoke-screened on another false loop. That's how I've pretty much always recalled us signing players. Pato is a major exception that comes to mind, otherwise G&B sure so like to keep their secrets to themselves.

Still it doesn't mean Kaka is coming, but I wouldn't be surprised if he did. On loan. With or without an option to buy.

No. Loops and smoke-screens are one thing, but X-O got it right, or at least I believe so. Usually Mediaset or Corriere or another of them reports at least a story. This time I just can't find the Kaka-story at reliable sources.

Probably. unsure.gif But I recall a few rumors that a couple of months back that our management met with Kaka's father. Sure it was all brushed under the rug that the meeting was for Digao, but make of it what you will.

Well say what you guys want, something really is cooking. sleep.gif And has been for some time now. Like I said before, I can't say he's coming, but I won't be surprised if he is. Salary range probably in the 5-6 million per year range. Now maybe, maybe this is one reason why we let Pirlo go to accommodate the Brazilian.

I'm not to sold on the idea, at least not 100%. But this still is Kaka, and yet, this still is not the player he once was.

i would prefer having kaka' rather than ganso i watched ganso many times and he failed to impress me and there is something about him that makes me think that he and ibra won't get along

Why would that be good news?

That means that -hypothetically- if we make an 35 m offer they'll reject it. And to be honest I don't see us outbidding Barcelona.

Santos president Luis Alvaro Ribeiro has declared that the club will not stand in the way of midfielder Ganso making a switch to Europe.

The Brazil international has emerged as one of the hottest properties on the transfer market this summer after an impressive season with his Brazilian club, coupled with a handful of positive displays at the Copa America.

AC Milan vice-president Adriano Galliani has never hidden his admiration for the 21-year-old's talent, while Anzhi Makhachkala have been rumoured as an interested party.

And while Santos have the guarantee that Ganso will remain at least until the end of the year, they have confirmed that a transfer is possible.

"He has already told me he wants to stay at Santos, to play in the Club World Cup at the end of the year," Luiz Alvaro Ribeiro told Lancenet.

"But if he wants to leave Santos, we will not have any objections to that. We have to respect the player's wish. He has his dreams, his ambitions."

Bluesummers
Its not about the money, Arsenal just don't want to sell him to barca unless barca suffers heavily financially while signing him.

The sh*t they pulled on Wenger was not cool and now wenger is saying its my turn to hit you f*ckers back a little bit.

Now we'll see what Galliani will do devil.gif

I strongly doubt that Cesc has put 3 mil of his own money into the transfer. Quit being such Debbie Downers.

Cesc really wants to go to Barca, it wouldn't surprise me if he is willing to put money up himself to make the move. I'd rather him not be in Milan anyways, he's not worth the money.

+1, the amount of times he goes missing in big games, he looked like a little kid against Barca in the Nou Camp, and remember the stupid back heel which started the move for the Barca goal?

He will look good in Barca and he obviously wants to go there so just let it be. If he comes here it will simply still be a case of 'when will he be reunited with his beloved Barca' I don't really want players like that, not immediately after they move here for big money anyway.

BRAKING NEWS: Real Madrid’s Kaka To Join Milan On A Free Loan!!

Presence of both chiefs in China has fuelled speculation they have started to discuss a transfer for the Brazilian playmaker, as they are preparing themselves for another meeting.

Real Madrid president Florentino Perez has met with Milan CEO Adriano Galliani, and the subject of talks was Kaka’s return to San Siro, according to a report in Spain.

Marca.com claims the two chiefs, who are both in China with their respective clubs, used the occasion to discuss a return to Serie A for the 29-year-old.

Also, the Spanish press now claim that the deal has been agreed. Kaka is expected to be loaned out to Milan on a free loan, with an option to sign him at the end of the season.

Kaka has long been linked with a return to Milan, where he enjoyed great success, after an unsettled two years at the Bernabeu. According to some sources, he has already agreed on everything in order to return to Milan, hoping to regain his playing form.

Milan’s coach Allegri left the door open for his return. “Kaka is an extraordinary player, but he is Real Marid’s for now. I don’t know, we will see…”

Now, the dinner between the two clubs’ vice-president in 14:00 CET will be the crucial one. But before that, Milan CEO Adriano Galliani is secretly watching Real Madrid’s match and is keeping a close eye on Kaka’s performance.

Madrid are currently meeting Tianjin Teda in a friendly and Kaka has scored the only goal so far, while Allegri’s men take on Inter in the Supercoppa Italiana.
