So we signed Mexes and Taiwo !!!! i like Taiwo alot , i don't think i will ever like Mexes !!

Both great deals!Specially since they're on free transfer. We're not looking pretty good in defensive area. Now we have two good fullbacks of close quality. We have Zambrotta to replace them,he's a quality sub,and we also have guys like didac vila and emanuelson who will be developing.I don't know anything about vila, but I have high hopes for emanuelson.(if he improves his defense)

I don't think we need any reinforcements for the attack, unless we don't plan on renewing for inzaghi. The inzaghi thing is just a risk we might have to make...we can reinforce our attack in January if he happens to be injured again.

I believe that we should reinforce our midfield,it will be the real measurement for the success of this transfer market.

With respect to our old guards,we need to keep 2 of the 4:Ambrosini,Gattuso Pirlo,Seedorf.
I'd prefer Pirlo+Ambrosini.Specially since we might be able to cash in on Gattuso, and Seedorf might be going to a brazilian club anyway.

Excellent point. cool.gif Totally agreed. I hope Pirlo signs on a new contract, and Ambrosini we keep as our captain.

Agreed. I think that 2 of 4 is the most realistic scenario and I would also prefer Pirlo and Ambro. I have a feeling it could be Gattuso and Ambro though which I would strongly oppose unless we get a legitimate creative player as cover. Crossing my fingers hoping that offer from Russia comes.
Dracoris
I feel like Gattuso will probably take the Russian offer. If that is the case I would expect Ambro and Seedorf to stay on a cut salary and a renewal with Markie V. Pirlo and Gattuso out. Would not be surprised to see Bonera sold and Astori brought in as well.

Ganso was injured in the last game (will be out for a month at least but there are rumors that it might be more serious).

Don't know about that. It's not the same leg as his previous injury and it might lower his price a little. In ant case, if we are to sign him, our doctors would examine him through and through.

6 weeks out accordinig to the latest reports.
Darunia
I think we'll sign him in January (if we sign him at all)

Media at Serbia report that Milan sign Stefan Savić from Partizan in 10 Mil € transfer! Who don't know anything about this player he is solid central defender born 1991. He play for Montenegro and Partizan, voted as best young player in serbia premier league at 2010 year. It's seams like Dejan Savičević have his fingers in this as they say that he personally call Galliani and gave few words about this talented player.
William405
I've heard that we've signed him,but he's going to come next season.Nothing confirmed yet though...

EDIT:Now that Real has signed Sahin,I hope we can go for Lassana diara.

Yeah..I think our defence is wrapped up...unless someone leaves...like Bonera, Yepes etc.

Now the mid-field and attack.

Also we need to drop Oddo.

That's a bit overstretched, isn't it? I mean, we need a playmaker and an injury always happens, it doesn't mean his career is over right this minute.

Btw. does that mean Ganso will miss the Copa America?

Exactly. smile.gif Like I said, injuries will always happen until a player turns 25, and his body stops changing/growing. Unless your name is Ambrosini, in which case consistent injuries will stop after age 30. Or your name is Ronaldo, in which case injuries will stay with you forever and pop up at just the wrong time. sad.gif Oh my!

Point being, we can turn this situation to our advantage, and lower the fees. I am sure Galliani is working on it.

Juventus sign AC Milan's Andrea Pirlo on a three-year contract - report

Juventus have signed veteran Italian international midfielder Andrea Pirlo from AC Milan on a three-year contract, reports from Italy suggest.

According to Il Corriere dello Sport, the player's agent met representatives of the Turin club to discuss terms, and an agreement has been confirmed.

The transfer of the 31-year-old has been the subject of much speculation, with the player out of contract at the Serie A champions come the summer.

It will be a new experience for the ex-Inter and Brescia playmaker, as he has spent the last ten seasons with the Milanese club, making 24 appearances for Massimiliano Allegri's side in 2010-11.

Juve are set to miss out on Champions League football for the second year running, and big moves are expected when the transfer window reopens in the summer to get back in contention for the Scudetto.

The signature of Pirlo could cast doubt over a bid to sign on-loan midfielder Alberto Aquilani, who is set to return to Liverpool at the end of the season.

Thx Andrea, it was pleasure to watch u and to have u in team.
Fillipo Simone
Yep, it's on mediaset as well. Pretty much done deal.

Isn't this a bit too hasty? I mean... I cannot imagine he already discussed with Milan... unsure.gif I will wait until it's official.
Zed.D
I thought the club was gonna discuss contracts once the season was over?!!??! blink.gif I'm unhappy with both the club and Andrea.

i dont think milan want pirlo to stay.. we would have easily convinced him if we wanted him to stay..

+1 smile.gif

I don't think that we will look for his replacement because he didn't fit in our formation.

I hope for Essien, Kaka or Pastore and Kagawa ( impressed me ).

Supposing we sign Ganso this summer (although voices from Brazil suggest Corinthians are close to signing him, meaning he'll come in January), we need another DM to fill in Gattuso's shoes. Even if he doesn't go to Russia, he can't be a starter anymore, and Flamini as starter doesn't convince me either. So, what names are available out there? Lassana Diarra? Essien?

I'm not so worried about the DM's as I am with the creative department. I want Milan to start playing some creative football and without a proper Pirlo/Seedorf/AM option this is impossible. If Ganso won't be signed, the please, bring us someone else or we're gonna get trashed before January.

Agreed. Our DM situation better be improves, but at least we got DMs that are okay I guess. The creative/AM part of our midfield really needs to get most attention. In Summer midfield needs to be improved, not by just one player. Thankfully our defense already got settled with two free signings, and attack already was, and Abbiati is a good first goalkeeper for next season also.
X-Offender
Well, I don't think Allegri wants to switch from the midfield formula of the last couple of months i.e. strong anchor in front of the defense, creative mid on the left, a proper DM on the right and Boateng as trequartista. Considering Pirlo will be leaving, Ganso should get his place and the starter spot on the left. With Van Bommel and Ambrosini doing the anchor role and Boateng the trequartista, our weakest link is the right-hand side. Gattuso and Flamini aren't exactly starter material, know what I mean?

I agree. Although I think that Pirlo is on decline and this move might be good for both the club and the player - he deserves a more respectful treatment after 10 years in red and black and many wonderful memories.
Fillipo Simone
Pirlo leaving is one of the saddest moments for me in football. We had the same when Boban left, but the difference was Rui was already signed.

Nowdays we have one to many "if's" - if Ganso comes and if he deserves the left flank.

To be honest, since he chose to join Juventus out of all clubs, he doesn't deserve a more respectful treatment.

While I am glad Pirlo is leaving, to be fair, Juventus was probably his only choice. Otherwise he'd be playing for a small team in Italy making the same or less money than if he had taken Milan's pay cut. I doubt any big team in Europe would've taken him, and the only other options would be a Dubai/Man City/Rich Russians type of team, which I am sure no one here wants for him.

How come? What's your reason? I don't rate him that much as a player anymore, but he will always remain one of my favorite players and one of the best midfielders of the last decade. You should feel the same.
Jack Bauer
CHU-LIP, it doesn't matter if it's Juve (who's no threat to us at the moment) or some other club from abroad. Pirlo gave us his best years, his prime in which he was one of the best midfielders in the world and our team won many trophies with him. Now there is a situation in which both he and Milan chose to move on and that's fine. His place in Milan history is unchallengeable, he'll be identified with Milan after retirement and we should thank him for all he has done for our club.

It is sad .. Pirlo has been with us a while now and endured a lot of games under his belt for us .. To an extent that our midfield looses a lot when he isn't playing. He is a player that gives any team he plays for a leap in quality.

Obstacles he faced were two; Allegri finds him excess to requirements and Milan wont be able to match the Juve contract. So he had no choice I guess .. However, I am not very moved as I knew Milan's focus is on youth and the fact that this club is classy .. It allowed its senior players players to move at will, players who had served the club well. Pirlo is the first to leave he will be followed by others as well, Ringo will probably move ... Seedorf seems to be set for Brazil as well, but I'd very much like him to finish off and hang up his boots here.
Fillipo Simone
Me too. It's a bit sour to me, because I don't consider Pirlo finished like some of you here. So from all our senators, Pirlo was the one who could give the most for the future 1-2 seasons. Nesta most probably will retire, while Rino and Ambro evidently deteriorated. Seedorf is a must keep for me too.

I'm totally okay with Pirlo picking Juventus. It's probably that he wanted to become one of the few legends who played for the big three. Also, Juve nowadays is hardly a Milan rival, not in a sense where fans would be upset. His move to Inter would cause reactions, but to a team like Juve - now 2 seasons in a row below 4th place - it is a ordinary move. It's not that he had many offers (at least that's what I've read) and I don't think he's Brescia class already.

For all of you who think Pirlo's departure is a blessing or he is finished, remember Real Madrid, heck remember Inter. He was a key component in those matches. Don't let this injury plagued Allegri season cloud your mind. Pirlo is still world class.

And who'll be Milans captain next season? Milan now needs someone fresh, who could be captain for a while, just like Paolo or Franco before.
