-Thiago Silva "After me, no more #33"

-Allegri, G, braida and others from the club met today to finish planning the transfer campaign. Media believes that after this meeting if agreements are reached all around on which targets to pursue, the club will then start entering the market.

-Mourinho wants Ibra but is not willing to use Kaka in exchange, which is what Galliani is after. Galliani has met with Kaka's father regarding a possible return as well as the condition of Kaka's brother. The other possibility the Media is reporting is just pure cash, but Galliani wants a player in exchange. Mou has told media that no players will be leaving madrid.

-Were linked with Schweinsteiger again. Media is saying Allegri wants him. value is 35m.

-We have apparantly bid 30m in installments +5m bonuses and emanuelson for fabregas. Media is reporting that Arsenal are waiting on a response as Wenger wants to convince the players to stay. Media believe that this offer is valued at 40m, which is higher than barca's bid of just 30m.

-Cassano has asked Galliani if he would be allowed to leave and Galliani has given him the 'OK'

-Balotelli and Milan have an agreement in place for his potential transfer. Only problem is that City is not willing to let him go without a replacement.

-Galliani is attempting to convince cellino to take Astori on another year of co-own. Astori has told Cellino he wants to remain with Cagliari. The problem remains is Cagliari does not want to enter a financial duel with Milan.

-Allegri wants both Hamsik and Acquilani for the upcoming campaign.

-Were linked with Christian Eriksen again with his agent saying we are interested in him.

-We are linked again with possible arrival of Asamoah.

-El Shaarawy says he likes milan and would welcome a move.

-Mauro Suma, one of the directors of "Milan Channel" has told fans on his facebook "I recommend you hold on tight". The Media believes something big is going to happen this summer and they think that Febregas is the big transfer that Raiola has been working on since January.

-Emanuelson has stated "I am staying at Milan"

-We are interested in Trezeguet. Value 5m

-We are interested in Zapata. Value 15m

-The media believes that Fiorentina will use Montolivo in a possible swap with Milan for Cassano.

-Real Madrid has decided to not purchase Adebayor, so he will return to manchester. As a result they are linked with ibra again.

-Pastore's agent had a meeting with Morratti today. We are linked.

-English media believes that Galliani and Raiola had a secret meeting with Arsenal directors last weekend regarding a possible transfer.

-Novara want Zigoni, Strasser, Merkel.

-Fiorentina and Torino want paloschi.

-Spanish media has stated we are after Fabregas but they believe he is only interested in moving to barcelona if he leaves arsenal.

-Galliani had a meeting with DIS (private company who own 45% of ganso) and has asked them to pressure santos into reducing their value of Ganso, which is over 30m.

Nice prospect, no starting material for Milan so far though. Anywho, he will stay at Ajax coming season. He wants that himself, first become important first team player there before leaving. Small steps...

Astori: "I hope that the situation regarding my contract will be resolved before the clubs has to go to the closed envelope auction. It is an important sign for me that Milan no longer want to extend the co-ownership. This shows that they believe in me and that I'm a player that they want to count on. It doesn't matter if I return to Milan now or in five years time, so my dream of wearing the Milan-shirt won't fade away. In 2012 there will be the European Championships and I would like to make the most of that occasion. In case Milan wants to send me away on loan, I would gladly stay another year at Cagliari."

Silva: "I've been in contact with Barcelona, but I told them that I feel very connected to Milan and that I want to stay here. If Barcelona really want me, then they first have to talk directly to Milan. I'm happy here at Milan. It's too early to return to Brazil, because I'm very close to the peak of my career. I hope that I can end my career at Fluminense. It's my dream and I hope that I can achieve it. I've talked with Seedorf and he wants to play in Brazil. I think he will go there after the next season."

According to reports from Turkey, newly-promoted Orduspor wants to sign Rodney Strasser.
Milan Are Brilliant
Ok, I might be out of line here and purely controversial, but I don't think Fabregas is worth massive amounts of money at least to us, maybe for someone like City it doesn't matter.

I often see him failing/go missing in big games and that's where we struggle (at least in Europe). He doesn't really run the midfield, it says it all when the majority of Arsenal fans don't seem too bothered this year because of the emergence of a very promising 19-year-old*.

Sure he is better than what we have at the moment. If Ganso is really worth what some of you are saying - I can't speak from first hand experience, I mean I can watch some YouTube videos but they could make Brocchi's time here look spectacular. Then I'd rather go for him in all honesty.

I'd prefer Xabi Alonso over Cesc if we are talking fantasy Spanish signings, presuming the obvious 2 are a bit too far out even for our optimism.

I hope not. That is one crappy midfield. Van Bommel is old and can't play without another DM. I'd rather sign Schweinsteiger alone than both Ganso and Hamsik.

Not really. Hamsik played for Slovakia in the WC as CM and Ganso plays for Santos as RCM. They are versatile midfielders that can easily occupy many positions. The only problem with that line-up would be inducing Boateng to defend more than to attack. That aside, it's perfect.

Ganso can play any position in our midfield aside from the one occupied by VB, Hamsik has played in a more central midfield role before as x-off said. Having those 2 would be a huge step in the right direction and we could have both without braking the bank like we'd have to do for Cesc.

Hamsik or Ganso alone for me still wouldn't be enough

Ganso and Hamsik can both play as our AM and LCM(or RCM), yes. About Boateng, I would use him as backup for Ganso and Hamsik (AM), just like Seedorf (LCM). At RCM we got Flamini, with Gattuso as backup. Flamini is doing better since we got Allegri. He could do well next season. Boateng wasn't anything special lately anyway, let's not act like he has to start per se. If we don't renew with Flamini he should and probably will be sold, and we can get a replacement for him then. We'll see what happens. Merkel and Strasser should be loaned out, like Novara. Emanuelson can stay as extra backup, and also our Primavera players can backup when required, including Calvano.

Hamsik(Boateng)
Ganso(Seedorf), Van Bommel(Ambrosini), Flamini(Gattuso)

looks pretty neat to me

Come again? Boateng has been doing everything in this team! You rarely a trequartista that one moment is making an assist to the striker, and only ten seconds later is fighting alongside the CB to claim the ball. No-man, Boateng has been immense this season. He works his @ss off line no-one else. We would have struggled much more for the scudetto without his contribution.

I agree. But......... he will be benched for the likes of Hamsik and Ganso... and we play with two defensive mids, so why not stick with that? Milan was very strong with Boateng as AM behind Zlatan and Robinho, that was my favourite attack this season. Boateng is a good starter, but when Ganso and Hamsik will start, he doesn't have to anymore.

Because you need to look at what/who you want at THAT specific position. You yourself said ''The only problem with that line-up would be inducing Boateng to defend more than to attack. '' for a reason, therefore.. Flamini (or so) makes more sense.. Flamini is perfect for that job, he defends more than attack, which he does also. Boateng did very well as AM this season, so an awesome backup he is (at AM), but don't play him somewhere just to play him.
Dracoris
Schweinsteiger followed by Cesc I believe are our best options for LCM. Then we need another CAM such as Ganso or Lamela to have to grow in our team. El Shaarawy(sp?) could be a good addition if Cassano is to leave.

Another CB/RB couldn't hurt either.

Yeah well, I agree, but Schweini is the most unlikely one to get pretty much, followed by Cesc. tongue.gif

Ah, a CB/RB.. I guess that could be Zapata we've been linked to lately.. he's welcome to join IMO, and make it possible for us to ship out all of Bonera, Antonini, Onweyu and Oddo.. really REALLY nice to see Oddo is open to leave Milan for Lazio.. which reminds me I forgot to give some +'s to:

Yeah well, Schweini seems to be open to leave Bayern for a great club, but I don't see Bayern accepting 30m, nor 35m.. 40+, and you can start hoping.. (40m I don't see them accept either).. he has a contract for many many years, Bayern are very rich, and Schweini is THE player there, the highest rated, worth the most, and still quite young..

But Boateng is a box-to-box mid. He knows how to defend, that's not a problem. It's the mentality that must be fixed. If Allegri tells him to focus more on the defensive aspect otherwise he'll be benched, I'm sure Boateng will follow his orders. If it doesn't work for a few games, then he can play Flamini or Gattuso there. No biggie.

At least that is true... still not a fan of saying that... something like that should not be mentioned until he is about to retire, and def. not by himself... it's something very special... others need to say that about him, and not yet... it's way too soon... even though I feel like he's special, and the potential is there.. Yeah, I got his eternal love thingy. sleepysmiley03.gif What I have a slight trouble understanding is the literal meaning of the phrase: After me there will not be a number 33. Maybe he wants to play till the very (almost) end, and then hang up his shirt so no one else comes and take it, or maybe he wants to be a contemporary club legend of sorts (like Kaka) and make the number famous so not many people wear it.

In case of Kaka, though, that sucker Borriello took the #22 the very next day the Brazilian left. sad.gif Regardless, nice to see Thiago enjoying his time here, hope he keeps this level of performance up, and get this level of fame/respect worldwide. Come to think of it, I, for all intents and purposes, never saw him put a foot wrong this season, or make a mistake. His last defensive error that I remember was giving Menez the goal when we played Roma in the 2009/10 season.

Undoubtedly. cool.gif Not totally realistic, but if we do somehow get this, then we are set for at least 4 years or more, sort of like another Golden Generation (provided everything goes according to plan). With select purchase, we may even take a sniff at the CL, not this year or not even the next, but soon.

I have very low European expectations from the current squad, as good as it is domestically.

I know that, but Mourinho will play him as CF. There's no other position left for him. I don't think he can take Di Maria's or Ronaldo's spot, unless Mourinho changes his 4-2-3-1 line-up to something else, which I highly doubt.
