I wouldn't bother. If Gila doesn't score from the half way line, with a back heel against Real Inter who field a team of 22 players. With both JC and Casillas in goal, in the Champions League Final, with the last kick of the game, it isn't considered important enough.

Not sure how many people noticed this, but Fiorentina only had 3 of their regular starters in the starting lineup (Marchionni and Vargas came on later): Frey, Montolivo, and Gilardino. The other 8 guys, including the entire back line, were reserves.

Relief for Jens Lehmann after his mid-game toilet break
• Jens Lehmann appears to urinate behind the goal
• 'He handled it very expertly. It was a tricky situation'
Marcus Christenson
guardian.co.uk, Thursday 10 December 2009 20.39 GMT
Jens Lehmann has been told he was lucky to escape punishment after appearing to urinate behind his goal during Wednesday's 3–1 Champions League win over Unirea Urziceni. The Stuttgart goalkeeper jumped over the advertising hoardings and looked as if he was relieving himself before being interrupted by a Romanian counter-attack.
Luckily for Lehmann, the referee, Viktor Kassai, did not see the incident and could not book the former Arsenal and Germany goalkeeper for leaving the pitch without permission. And, while the Stuttgart management has told Lehmann he should have been given a yellow card, there was praise from the club's director of sport, Horst Heldt, for how the 40-year-old dealt with the situation. "I thought he handled it very expertly," he said. "It was a tricky situation. He could hardly run into the dressing room while play was going on and it reminded me of the Tour de France – sometimes there are simply no options."
Lehmann is not the first sportsman or woman to encounter problems when needing a toilet break during an event and Paula Radcliffe famously squatted down and relieved herself on the streets of London during the 2005 marathon. She still won the race by more than five minutes.
The French golfer Benjamin Herbert caused a stir at the Open at Birkdale in 2008 when he walked off the sixth fairway to take a leak – one French spectator saying he had "disgraced the nation" – while the US forward DaMarcus Beasley furtively urinated next to the bench while waiting to come on against Mexico at the 2002 World Cup.
Lehmann, meanwhile, has announced he is retiring at the end of the season but – as could be expected – he is refusing to go quietly. This week he accused the Stuttgart management of giving into "pubescent fans" when they sacked Markus Babbel as manager and he has already clashed with ball-boys and his team-mate Khalid Boulahrouz this season, ripping the sweat band off the Dutchman's head following a mistake.
Lehmann did not comment on his decision to leave the pitch during the game against Unirea Urziceni, saying only: "I was more nervous than I have been for a long time."
I think Lehmann is the only GK who would ever pull something like that.

Team written first will play 1st leg at home.
Stuttgart (GER) vs Barcelona (SPA)
Olympiakos (GRE) vs Bordeaux (FRA)
Inter (ITA) vs Chelsea (ENG)
Bayern Munich (GER) vs Fiorentina (ITA)
CSKA Moscow (RUS) vs Sevilla (SPA)
Lyon (FRA) vs Real Madrid (SPA)
Porto (POR) vs Arsenal (ENG)
Milan (ITA) vs Manchester United (ENG)
Ones that stand out for me..
Inter vs Chelsea: The Jose connection, of course. Also Carlo vs Inter.
Bayern vs Fiorentina: Germany and Italy go head-to-head in the battle for the 4th CL spot.
Milan vs United: Talk about a heavyweight clash. Beckham vs Man U?

If you're talking about the leg at the San Siro, they'll put a limited number of tickets on sale online on the club website. Be warned that they're not very good tickets though.
If you're talking about the Old Trafford leg, I've got no idea.

It's possible. United of this season is not as good as it was last season. Ronaldo was a big loss and they had/have all those injuries at defence and keeper positions.
It depends which Milan team will show up. We need the team that played vs Madrid like thay have to prove something.

Oh my. Out of all the choices, they pair us with United
I hope we are prepared, cause United really want their revenge, and for them this is the best time they could get it. Especially considering our game plan has been exposed and teams have been putting us into difficulty as of late. I just hope that with the acquisition of Becks and Adiyiah will make the difference.
Oh what am I saying, this is a really difficult opposition!

I can't say I'm disappointed with our draw. we could have gotten two stronger sides in Barca and Chelsea (not to mention the likes of Sevilla and Bordeaux to whom, as Kurt mentioned, we'd lose probably easier). besides, we all remember our recent history with Man U. we might just make it.
2 Italy-England encounters. last season English teams beat the Italians 3-0. this year, Fiorentina have already beaten Liverpool, making it 3-1! it's time for Milan and Inter to make it even!

Anderson can run, but shoot? Anderson is one of the worst strikers of a ball I've ever seen professionaly. I'm not even exaggerating! There's a reason he's never scored in the league for them, he can't kick a ball properly with any power.

They're a strong team no doubt... if we don't sign anyone (besides Beckham and Adiyah) over the winter break then I don't like our odds. Health is also important, we need Silva and Nesta for both legs, as well as Ronaldinho and Pato.
Predictions for quarterfinals:

Bordeaux
Milan

Lyon
Arsenal
Bayern Munich

Milan in recent years have been able to produce brilliant performances when they needed to and they could do it maybe 5-6 times a year. (I'm talking about truly great performances). I think we can still do that but not so often and surely not when we want to. If we're lucky and play in such a kind of night we'll get through. But I doubt it.
PS I think this is the best draw for Inter. Chelsea seem vulnerable (at the moment).

Seems like Manchester has found their stride again, I'm contemplating having Ancelotti back for the home & away fixtures, as this United have shown great maturity and solidarity to remain up-top, and playing in a more cohesive way than when they had Ronaldo. I am not saying we are doomed, but not being able to beat Inter, especially with them being 2 man down, has given me the indication that Leonardo can not deliver during crunch-time.
Its just this feeling in my tummy that Manchester will score two goals at San Siro, and game over at Old Trafford.

Feb 3 2010, 04:52 PM
I agree but our defence was bad agianst Inter but if we play just like we did agianst Real Madris it will go fine. Nesta makes our defence much better and Pato and Huntelaar would make a diffrent so I have a feeling in my tummy that says we still got a chance but Im still confused. And now Ronney is joining Ibra in Barcelona it seems

I think a coach's job is overrated. They can't win you big matches, their players do. Our players played badly in both games against Inter and even if Leo does everything right against Utd we're still going to lose if they play like that.
