I think you'll find you're wrong about the general impression of him, Blue. The one thing I've heard constantly in complaints about him was his media-whoring, grandstanding, constant stream of insults to others, and general whipping up of controversy. His coaching has never been in doubt. It's just that the 'LOOK AT ME' thing he did in England...doesn't work in Italy. And I'm glad it doesn't because, to be honest, I find it repulsive.

Ditto.

Meh, there's been just as many times where it isn't him who has started it. Carlo last season was an example, he talked about Jose for no reason and Jose retaliated.

It makes for good reading, football would be awfully boring without the likes of Mourinho.

First of all, with the state our team is in, Jose probably did us a huge favour because it's certainly no given that we will finish top 3 next season.

Second of all, who cares if they're local rivals? I don't live in Milan, so why the hell should I hate Inter? I don't have to put up with their fans. I'm no sheep and I won't hate Inter just because that's the cool thing to do as a fan of Milan. It's not like they even talk **** about us much, if anything it's the other way round.

Completely agreed. go back a few pages and that's more or less what I said!

I can't understand how people were praying Inter would lose knowing it'd result in Serie A losing it's 4th CL spot...

Edited out the last comment fearing it'd be misunderstood!

@ Kurt

I keep mistaking you for Ry4n.. what's with the Pippo avatar? biggrin.gif

I did find it bothersome last night that he took some of the gloss off the Inter players by walking away from the celebrations, whereby the camera followed him and basically ignored the players.

I'm no fan of Inter but the players worked so hard for that trophy and Mourinho (and the Sky camera crew) stole a great deal of their thunder.

blink.gif wtf , you seriously can't?

you guys make me sad - what a BS reason anyway to support Inter, and you know what? 1. Bundesliga is a way more beautiful league than Serie A anyway
Zed.D
huh.gif No I can't. I'm a fan of this league. I want it to get better every year not worse, for ****'s sake.

Some people rationalise with their heart. Some people rationalise with their brains. I'm of the second gorup.

@ Xoff: Just because you live in Italy doesn't mean anything. With the people and resources we have on this forum, its like we are living in Italy. Fishdoll is a good example of that, she maybe living in the States; but she has alot of inside scoop. Same in my sitaution, I have a lot good freinds who live in Milan who let me know some inside scoop.

Also I'm not talking about mourinho regarded highly as a coach. I'm talking about the lack of respect shown to him and what he has done for Italy. Everyone in Italy has just gangs up on him and disrespects him because he is the coach of inter (most hated club in italy) and that isn't fair.

@d'arc:

I'll never ever be an inter fan. At the very very UNLIKELY hood of me jumping ship, I'd jump to Madrid and that is very unlikely.

I am a proud Milanista. If I wasn't I would have left when we were in UEFA Cup.

1. ... no. Just no.

2. Maybe that's because he disrespects just about everyone not directly affiliated with Inter? And I thought Juventus were the traditional hate object in Italy?

3. No doubt, but ffs sake, change that avatar. At the moment you appear more like a Mourinista than anything else.

I like Blue a lot, but have to agree with Rowan here. You're whoring him a bit more than a Rossoneri really should.

Ranking UEFA: Italy maintains the four Champions League places

With Inter winning the Champions League, Italy won the third place in the UEFA Ranking granting then, four seats to qualify for the Champions League next season. Germany close to fourth place and will have three teams in the Champions League.
source : TMW

But Germany is still very close. Next year will be a tough fight for that 4th place.

Milan and Inter will be making sure they'll lose sight of 3rd rank in UEFA next year.

Is that cheaper than just putting a camera on the goal line?

Probably, which is why it's been done. I don't think it's acceptable anyway, it was done in the Europea League last year, we need new things.
