What mostly p!ssed me off about Pirlo was how he acted during our game against Juve (when there was the Muntari ghost goal). Charging in, elbowing, basically acting like a complete tw@t.
But other than that I'm still a huge fan of his in a pure footballing sense

I literally just found out about this.
I think it's the worst act since all my years of supporting this club.
I wasn't a prudent fan of Seedorf but for the club to officially erase him essentially from our history just because the management thing didn't work out (for whatever reason) is actually beyond abhorrent.
I'm truly ashamed.

6 months ago, I didnt want him to sign as our coach, for two reasons; (i) he was inexperienced (ii) his legacy (not just as a footballer) to Milan could be damaged.
Today, it is revealed Mauro, one of the most experienced and highly decorated ex-player and current assistant coach as about to leave Milan because of a difficult relationship he had with Seedorf.
Also, it is revealed Seedorf is taking the sacking to courts to force the club in paying the remaining years of his contract plus damages. Damages?!
Seedorf claimed that half the playing squad was not fit to play for Milan, this half way through his 6 months with us. At a time when the ship was sinking.
Known Milan since the late 80s, since that time the club has never been one to hang dirty laundry in the streets. On the contrary, even the clubs own fans dont know what is going on behind the closed doors. So the tip of the iceberg is what is above, however the whole iceberg is something we probably will never come to know.
What I know now is Seedorf has lost my respect, twisting my club's arm at a time when he was intrusted to take care of it. This is why I didnt want him here, he just ruined 10 years of legacy for me.

Naah, I can't side with you on this, my friend.
There are just too many individual cases to say it's the players/legends who are the problem. You have Maldini or Boban who look bitter and distanced themselves from the club, you a dozen other how were somehow damaged. No, I'm not loosing respect for Seedorf.
I only lost respect for my club. The management is plainly horrid. Singing Seedorf wasn't a shot in the dark. Even a half-good informed fan could tell you that Seedorf is/was always a tad egocentric and that his style will be based on his own vision. Furthermore, it was us who called in a rookie coach, gave him the most impossible of all tasks, and the fired him for doing - what he was supposed to do, what everyone knew he'd do.
Why should I keep believing and supporting our management when there's obvious that all good things went down the toilet? You keep sounding like this is the Milan of 1989 or 1998 or 2006. But no, this is a erratic, panic, stingy, cheap Milan who wants to prove to all of us that without money you lose more then just buying power and good players; it seems the wanna tell us that you lose your head, sentiment and above all - class.

Seedorf might have an ego bigger than the Titanic, but he didn't deserve to be treated like that. So him taking the case to court is absolutely within the boundaries of 'normal' and 'logical', and won't make me lose respect for him. Just like I haven't lost respect for guys like Boban and Maldini, who continuously criticize the club.
No, the one who has lost that tiny respect I had left is the management, namely Silvio Berlusconi and Adriano Galliani. I'm totally with Fillipo and 95% of the Milan community on this one.

Tassotti on Seedorf from football-italia:
QUOTE
Milan assistant Mauro Tassotti has revealed the difficult working relationship he had with Clarence Seedorf.
The Dutchman was appointed as Massimiliano Allegri’s successor in January, but after guiding the Rossoneri to eighth, was swiftly sacked in May to be replaced by Pippo Inzaghi for next term.
And the former defender has admitted that it was tough working alongside the ex-Netherlands international.
“It wasn’t an easy relationship,” he told reporters. “But that is all in the past so it’s useless talking about it.
“I haven’t spoken to him since it happened. I tried to work with him in the best way possible by putting myself at his disposal.
“But you have to feel like it’s a collaboration, and feel easy working together – it didn’t feel like that.
“I was very close to leaving Milan.
“But then I was told that there would be a new man coming in and I was wanted as part of the coaching staff.
“I spoke with Pippo and with the club and decided to stay after that.”
So the final reason why he left. No one liked him, no one could work with him. He wasn't inclusive in his management style and was autocratic.
The remaining rumours of his ill treatment by the club seem just rumours save that we fired someone who was being counterproductive are just rumours.
He's on gardening leave, which means he will continue to earn his wage, even then rumours are he wants to sue Milan for more money, including material and moral damages.
Why can't he just do what Leonardo did? Until Leo joined Inter, he acted quite classy.

Dude. What shitty way? He wasn't working. We terminated his contract and asked to settle. He refused and lawyered up.
I was angry then, because I thought he was being fired despite positive results. Now we read that he never really had the team. The players played because of pride and the management letting them know this was temporary.
For me the clincher is Milan was if anything over-loyal to the coach to a fault. So this is the first time we're seeing something trigger happy.
Except for De Jong no one came out in support except for that initial phase.
When a mild mannered newbie like De Sciglio complains about the coach, you know the rot is deep.
I respect his achievements as a player. The same way I do Maradona. Doesn't mean I don't think he's a poor manager.
Tbh, this lawsuit business has pissed me off even more. Leonardo was far more classy. Except his Eff You to Milan was to join Inter.

@Pippo ... That is fine, the management are idiots we already reached that conclusion a loooong time ago on this forum
Let me assert that Seedorf was one of my favorite players, one whom I held in high consideration, but suing the club for damages? Even when he is being paid his remaining balances of his 2 1/2 yr contract?
Mauro, a club legend of 17 years on the pitch and over 12 years as assistant coach stating that he almost left the club due to Seedorf?
If you know the club too well, you know that they do not hang the dirty laundry out in the public. On the contrary, our 'assumptions' are what lead our bias. That bias could hold weight in our assumptions and our assessment of this management; which we all agree are idiots.
What we know about this Seedorf issue is at the tip of the iceberg, what lies beneath might never surface to us. With that said, I'm with AC Milan first and foremost, even if the management are idiots! And f@ck you Clarence Seedorf!

You're kidding, right? The moment the season was over (and even sooner for that matter) we started working on the new coach, having meetings between Silvio, Galliani, Barbara etc. Already planning for our future, all while treating Seedorf like he didn't even exist. He was fired by e-mail for crying out loud!
I don't care about the mistakes his did, you do not treat a legend like that. We were the ones who wanted him, who made him quit football altogether and take a team in disastrous conditions (which he managed to uplift and fight for Europe till the very end).
There are ways and ways of dealing with situations like this, we just chose the wrong way, simple as.

I have two sources now and all are quoting Gazzetta.
There are two parts to this:
1. Firing Seedorf - This was the right decision. I don't think this can be argued with anymore.
2. How he was fired - Let's believe all the rumours. So he was fired by e-mail. And we couldn't reach a termination agreement, so he shall receive his full fee over 2.5 years. So why does he lawyer up? Why not walk away? Why can't love for the club be two-way? If he is aggrieved at Galliani and/or Berlusconi why not sue them directly for mental torture etc etc.?

The lawyering up thing is debatable. Firstly I thought he had every right to do so, but as news and stories are beginning to emerge which clearly put Seedorf at fault too, perhaps it's a bit of a stretch. But yeah, I guess the guy feels wronged and humiliated by the club, so I can kind of understand his reasoning.

In defence of el-Jacko, Seedorf is/was his absolute hero, so if he is being critical of him there is likely some basis of merit to it.
However, that said, people quick to defend Seedorf and the bad way they believe the club treated him but are quite happy with Barbara Berlusconi publicly firing Allegri without actually telling him privately first.
We seem to treat everyone badly, regardless of how they treat us, but we pick and choose who to support and who to condemn, when all-round conduct within this club seems rather poor nowadays.
