Booing your own players is stupid. Anyone who does it is a complete prick to be honest. It may be their job to play well for the fans, but it's also the fans job to get behind the players.. do the players turn around and start booing the fans when they're being quiet? No. If I was Seedorf, I'd give the fans that boo'd him a good slagging off.

How is it a fan's job to do anything? They are not paid to do it they are paying to be there and that's cause they want to see a "performance". The players are paid to perform and when they constantly underperform a fan has every right to boo them since he pays... just like an actor who constantly underperfroms would be thrown off the stage.

No, you're right, it's not a "job" for the fans to get behind the team.. but it's the reason to go. I don't buy the whole "people go to watch their team play well", no, you go to watch your team play, because you SUPPORT them. If fans went to games just to see good performances, well, that's how you get glory hunters, they just want to see the best teams. Proper fans go to games to get behind their team, regardless of how good they are. Like ZD mentioned earlier, maybe Milan are getting too many of these glory hunters? Like Madrid and Liverpool, who'll boo their team because they aren't putting on the performance of a lifetime, hmm.
That's not what I said.
To get this straight; a fan goes to see his team try... I will upload my team if they did what they could even if they have lost 5-0. But when they constantly show a lack of effort I think they also show lack of respect to the club and the fans who pay to see them.

+1. I concur.

If Seedorf gave such performances as a youngster, or with another big team, they'd have fired his sorry behind ages ago. I can't see many top clubs putting up with his shenanigans for too long.

We seriously need a replacement for him sooner rather than later. My preference would be Gourcuff, since we already own him and he is excelling in France, but the board may (recklessly) release him

MILANELLO - Here are the declarations made by Clarence Seedorf to Milan Channel's microphones today before the afternoon training session:
First of all, Clarence, happy birthday! How will you celebrate?
"Thanks! It will be a very calm birthday that I will celebrate with my family."
Now let's talk about Milan and the aim to reach third place in the league.
"Reaching the third place was one of the first objectives, since the start of the season. At the moment we are in the right position in the table. We have to continue like this, also trying to get as close as possible to the second place to have even more tranquility."
So you are looking forward and not at the teams behind you?
"No, I think it's right to look forward without fear and try to reach the second place. It can only be a positive stimulation and we can achieve it thanks to the calendar: we all still have important matches to play."
In the last two away games Milan earned four points.
"Yes, they were two positive results. Now we have to get more important points in our next three games. The morale is there, it's right. We have to get the highest amount of points because even though they seem like easy games on paper, we know they will be tough, but if we give the maximum we know we can reach our objective, especially because we are playing two games at home."
Sunday Lecce arrive. What do you remember from the first match against them this season?
"Certainly a bitter aftertaste because we had played a good match, but in the end it slipped from our fingers. On Sunday we will play at home, it will be another match and with the right grit and will to win we'll have to get three points at all costs."
Do you think that some of the players' participation to international matches will have an influence?
"We are used to it at this level. The players involved with national teams have to do well to think about Milan again and find the time to rest and the right concentration to be charged up for the match. But they are all players with some experience. Milan are going through an important moment and everyone knows it."

I've been very impressed with Seedorf this season. He still picks games but he has terribly increased the level of his overall performances.
That's a great comp by the way, I like that the creator has used replay angles and that some clips are of missed chances and not converted passes.

I think the difference this season is that Leo wouldn't hesitate to drop him, he wasn't playing in the first few matches of the season and he's not instantly back into the first 11 after injury.
I think Leo has set the record straight with all the players. Unlike Carlo who had his first 11 and wouldn't budge from it no matter what.
Seedorf wants to play every game so he's playing well to keep his spot.

There is a few players who Leo plays constantly who won't budge from the starting line up: Pato, Silva and Nesta. But to be fair when they are playing, they play like they deserve to be starting 11.
