I Don't care what anyone sais about Shevchenko, he is one of the best players in the world, and a former FIFA World Player of the Year. He is a super finisher, and a good footballer, he just needs a little more self confidence to get back to his well known goalscoring form. He is my fav. in AC Milan.

actually man he was a gd player... but when he went to chelsea fc ... they putted him on the bench in time he was a very gd player ... and milan now can't take the risk and let him play ... in time they need all the 3 pts in each game to catch inter on top ... sheva has to work more and maybe he will improve his self in dubai tour. ! holla !
Oh and by the way, he scord 8 goals from 9 starts last season, you should have considered playing him more often.

He was one of the best players in the world, but he's since lost his mojo after stupidly going to Chelsea and his age (32) isn't helping either.

Legend!

Pity it didn't work for him in England because now all I get is how the Serie A is easy to score in because Sheva could do it, that means Zlatan is rubbish too etc, etc.

Sheva just needs to slow down his finishing and be more calm inside the box. He is back in a league where refs call penalties, not the EPL where slide tackles from behind are common and unpunished.
When was the last time we saw him around the keeper? Sigh...

I know many had sent requests to me to post my Sheva Compilation and I did not have it. But recently I discovered that a very nice person had done me a favor and put it on Google Video. I know the likes of Kurt and Blue had requested this on this forum. So without any further ado, here is 23 minutes and 47 seconds of Shevchenko goodness. Enjoy:
http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=3429398995126273427Edit: As I am re-watching the video myself, the music stands out. I was almost done with the comp and I had just heard the news that Sheva was sold to Chelsea... In the following weeks I went through the compilation and changed the songs for a more appropriate theme: Random vibrations of insanity in my head. I loved Sheva too much.

Playing 3 strikers is crap, in my opinion. It's also not as easy as just 'letting him score', I'm not sure other teams will do that..

Right -
Andriy Shevchenko: I Want To End My Career At MilanThe striker has his intentions clear as he eyes a stay in Milan...Milan striker Andriy Shevchenko admits his desire is to retire at the club as he harbours hope of a miraculous Scudetto win.
The Rossoneri hitman is on-loan at Milan until the end of the season, when he is set to return to Chelsea. However, reports in England suggest his future is by no means certain, feeding growing speculation that he will be released by the club. Sheva would then be free to find another side and his ambition is to end his playing days with Milan.
"You have to ask [Roman] Abramovich about my future. I want to stay in Milan, but we have to decide at the end of term," the striker told Datasport.
"I don't consider myself to be an ex-player. I feel strong physically and I want to end my career here at Milan. My objective is to return to my best and play at the highest levels."
Milan's slim chances of a Scudetto win slipped away during the 1-1 draw with Juventus. Nevertheless, 'Sheva' believes his side can still win it.
“I think there is still a chance, but Inter deserve it as they have been the most consistent club side,” added the striker.

It's confusing because I am not sympathetic towards him in the slightest. he made one of the worst footballing decisions I've ever seen in 2006. and surprisingly outdid himself by making an even worse decision and coming back again.
The player who could have been one of Milan's greatest ever and most certainly the top scorer, ended up like this. it's all his fault.

Assuming you're talking about Sheva 1.0, the team didn't want to get rid of him. He wanted to go because he BSed us about wanting to learn English at Chelsea shortly after saying he wanted to become a Milan legend.
Had he come out and said something like, "I hate to leave Milan but this move (to Chelsea) is in the best interests of my family," things might've been considerably different.

Alright Kert now put your fanboyism aside. Even if we agree that he left for family reasons (which I don't agree with and the fact that he is back is a proof big enough in my view but anyway), a guy who's about to leave does not come out with stuff like "I wanna be like Paulo". What? Are you serious? Just because he's now back the family reasons thing doesn't count? Do you not think he maybe wanted to move to England for family reasons, so his wife would be happier, but they then didn't enjoy life over here so wanted to move back? I think that's pretty logicial, you aren't always going to enjoy everywhere you live and you won't find out until you try it. If not, you're saying to me you've never been anywhere that you think you'd enjoy, but found out it's not quite what you thought it would be? If you say no, you're a liar.
Last time I checked there was a thread saying Kaka' didn't want to leave Milan (despite saying numerous times in the past he'd love to play for Madrid), yet he's no longer here.. nobody seems to care though!

There's no point going on with this, I'm convinced Shevchenko left because he himself wanted to while in Kaka's case I believe he would not have gone anywhere if we did not want to sell him.

Dida earns as much as Seedorf and he hasn't gotten any better. He was ok at the end of the season but still not worth the massive wage we give him. Seedorf, Dida and Kaladze, should either be included in deals for players we want or sold to the highest bidder. No use keeping them and their wages when they're not good enough/son't give a cr@p anymore.
We could easily try to tempt Atalanta for Cigarini by offering them money plus Seedorf.
Kaladze could be used along with Janku plus a small ammount of money for Mexes.
And Dida at this point has to be sold. I don't think any club would be stupid enough to accept him...
We need to smarten up, management keep complaining about money and taxes, yet they throw away money over nothing. Had we sold these players in the first place, Kaka would have not been sold in order to try and balance the books
