Thats what i hate about Chelsea, and most of the english teams.  The players are either hated or loved.  The fan base is half ***.  Look at drogba, he was happy before he came to chelsea.  Now  he wants to leave, same with crespo and gallas.  Milan have true fans; we dont ditch the team if there doing bad or have lost certain games.  He will see this, and will regret it for the rest of his life.

In England mostly it's about a trend. Like this month it's the trend to idolise beckham , the next month it's owen and the following month is rooney. That's what I hate about english footbal it's so pretentios.

Rooney scored 16 goals this season and he is considered a god (because that is the trend right now to idolise rooney) Gila scored 17 goals and some people are already labelling him as a flop and a waste of money.

Mate, who idolises Beckham at the moment?! Nearly all people here want to see an inexperienced right winger (Aaron Lennon) take his place ahead of him in the World Cup, I think that says a lot.

Rooney is not considered a god because of this season! The fact that he is 19 and has produced what he has done so far in his career and the bags of potential he has got makes him a "god".
Bluesummers
rooney is too cocky in my oppinon, he will learn his lesson soon. The guy is everywhere, plays defence forward mid, furthermore he has a bad temper. IF he gets to play in this wc, he will learn that he cant go running around just cause nistelrooy can take hi splace and have no problems.

I guess this is not exclusive anymore since I just posted over at soccerpulse forums... But wow... Not a single comment about the comp... Kind od depressing...

Man this comp is good, the clips were really high quality and it made very good watching, didn't like the Crazy Frog music mind! But no it was well put together.

Even though the download is about 300mb I would recommend it for other people maybe not willing to download a file that size.

I clicked on the link you provided above...i get the countdown, then i get a message telling me that the ip address is wrong and that it'll direct me to the right one. Then i get another countdown. When the countdown hits 0 I can see what i think is the ip address...unfortunately though I can't click on it to download.
Is this right?

If you could I'd be really thankful...Sheva's what made me a "Milanfan" in the first place, and to see an extended compilation would be grately appreciated.

Despite his transfer, and the sadness that it brings, he'll still be my favorite and to see a really thorough compilation would be great.

BTW...To hell with chelsea.

I'm tired of hearing people (media included) asking who will replace sheva. No one is going to replace Sheva. And to put that pressure on another player would do more damage than it would good. So lets ask who is going to lead Milan next...not who is going to be the next Sheva. There is and never will be another Sheva.

I pray Millan doesn't try to go out and find another Sheva...I hope they judge them soley on skill and experience...not if they can fill Sheva's shoes. That's like asking Barcelona to find someone to fit Ronaldinho's shoes if he ever left. It's impossible.
KillerMax
Very good point. I also thought about this too... I think Gila will be our next big striker... Not necessarly next season... But in the furure. I also think Kaka will play a big role for us now that Sheva is gone.

All this said, WE MUST GET TORRES! He is the kind of striker we are lacking... Everything Galliani has said is giving me a headache: "Sheva is going to be replaced with an equal..." "We won't sign a star..."
So that basically means no Torres... Or even worse, none of the candidates that we have mentioned so far, because almost everyone we have mentioned is a star...
Damn you Galliani! dry.gif
dst
Exactly!!!We can't find the "New Sheva" this will hold us back just like it does Argentinians who try to find the "New Maradona" and before them Brazilians trying to find the "New Garrincha" (yes Garrincha is a bigger legend than Pele in Brazil). Not that Sheva is Maradona or Garrincha but we must look for an exceptional striker not a Sheva clone!!!Did we find a new MVB??No it's virtually impossible, but look us now thinking that Sheva is irreplaceable HE ISN'T!!!

Torres is a star????Oh my God what are you talking about???Just because he had a very good and a mediocre season???Is that what's a star??Then what is Henry?Guys you should know better!!!! mad.gif he has to play great every single season not just show he's got potential to be a star!!!Even Sheva when he reached the semis with Dynamo wasn't a star back then. You can't characterize so easily!!Like Gulliver saying Ibra is a great striker..what exactly makes him great? He just had a very good display in Euro '04...He's a striker with great potential yes that I can accept!!!

As for the Sheva topic...I told this a hundred times (but it´s never enough): Shevchenko left, we won´t find a replacement, but we will (I hope so,..neh, I´m pretty sure..) make, create a new player, just like we did with Andriy and all are other legends. The legacy must go on! Now it is to our scouts to find a new talent, a young and not (yet) prominent striker.

As for Ibra...has anyone seen the Sweden - TT match yesterday? Well, bravo for Ibra, he proved something I allready knew..he is a clumsy, arrogant and useless striker and not suitable for Milan. Just like Ruud Van Nistelrooy or Ronaldo. Players, who´s time ended long time ago.
In fact, there are just two star strikers suitable for Milan at this moment - Adriano and Drogba. And here it ends all. Torres? Maybe, but I have some bad expirience with spanish players in Italy..remember Jose Mari, Javi Moreno or even Mendieta (at Lazio)? But we really should look closer to some players from Holland, France, Eastern Europe, Brazil, Argentina or Africa. For ewample Ajax or Marseille have some real good strikers. So buy a young talent instead of a expensive star striker, but bring a star midfielder or defender. We could need someone like van der Vaart or Sneider to play the X-mas tree again as a variation if things go bad... biggrin.gif
Rossoneri7
Well .. Warchant .. I really give this to u .. cz u took the words right out of my mouth .. There will never be another Sheva .. I must hand it to u also, that Milan shouldn't look for another Sheva-like-striker .. (which I'm sure MIlan has better sense than that) .. Instead look for a new way to play our football upfront i.e. to give more dimention to our attack line ..

As much as I hate saying this; I think it's healthy that Sheva left now, better than having him slacking off later on, so we could assess our options b4 it's too l8 ..
Portman
Of course, there's only 1 Sheva, only 1 Boban, only 1 Weah...

New good players will come.

As you said - his talent, that showed up in Euro 04, and sometimes in Juve and I'm very sure with some Milan treatment he'll shine again.

Anyways I won't agree with Filipo, he performed quite well in Sweden's match, though, he has a problem a still can't fix it. He had some decent chances to score and didn't, just like Larson! rolleyes.gif

About Drogba I can say, I was very much nicely surprized by his performance. A good companion behind him like Kaka and Argentina might have lost.

Well, I was more talking about the media aspect of it. Like they say the Atletic Madrid star... So I guess that means no Torres because Galliani said no star... It's all confusing man...
BTW, Torres is a star in the making. There is no doubt about that. It's only a matter of time until we see him shine on the big stage. Don't take my word for it? just wait... wink.gif

I don't see this point, we are not going to replace Sheva? Yet we are already debating people to bring in since Sheva has left if that's not replacing what is?!

When I have mentioned names Torres, Riquelme (God Damn I got killed for mentioning a midfielder not an attacker!!!) I don't see them just being there to "replace" Sheva in character, stature etc I'm just looking to the future and a good player to guide us to success, as I'm sure nearly every Milan Fan is!

I don't just see them as a replacement, hmm as I said at the start I don't really understand the point being made in this topic unsure.gif

You are right...real stars come with the years, and many many matches. Some players shine for one period or tournement and then fall apart. I allways prefer players with 19, 20, 21 or 22 years to call talents, rather then stars. Robinho, Ribery, Torres - talents; Henry, Zidane, Sheva - stars! Cause it happens to often that we call someone to fast a star and then the young player doesn´t manage to hadle the pressure good. So be carefull when you proclaim someone a star! cool.gif

There's no U22 talent team can dominate Europe or even in a domestic league. Even you collect Torres, Messi, Robinho, Kompany, ... into one team. The reason is that they don't have enough experience to play equally during the whole long season (or even in a match). I also don't think we have enough world-class young talent players for all positions in a team. In history, Ajax was an example that similar with this (but not, because at least Van der Sar and Litmanen weren't youths but play important role in the squad).

The proof is that where is Cavenaghi? Alexandro? Boriello? ... and so on. Many of us even don't know who they are. That's mean in 10 talents today, the world will see only 2 or 3 world class players in the future.

If a team with all young talents, they are just a potential team FOREVER!
felipe_el_chileno
I think that Kaká has what it takes to be the next Milan leader. He has discipline, talent, and he wish to be great.
golfaspeed
I think the 3 best strikers in the world right now are Sheva, Ronaldo, and Henry. (in that order)
Now sheva is in the premiership and now we get to see who is better, sheva or henry? (and some kid they call Rooney) I really hope sheva does well in england. After all we trained him. If he does well over there....that means that milan is superior to the english clubs. We train our players to be the best in the world, not just serieA. And sheva is going to prove it.

About ronaldo, i think he is stilll really good, he just needs a better coach. I think he will rise again under capello. Unless we pick him this season..then we can put him through milanlab and make him a more complete player. and he will dominate serieA again. Thats my dream transfer to milan for this year. Ronaldo. devil.gif

I think we should stop arguing about legend or not of Sheva. Why? Because everybody has his own answer. Ex, for me and the Board of Milan (as they presented) Sheva is a true man, a legend with 7 extraodinary years and many glory. But, others, forget all we had together and call him a traitor. However, they have their own reason.

IMO, he didn't leave us to Real when we are nothing and Real was everything. This story is enough to proved that he is a kind of man who never leave Milan when we need. And you, you blame him because he left us. However, are you 100% sure that if you were him, you won't leave???? Remember, being a star is the meaning of you have to satisfied millions of fan, also your private famili, habbits, purposes ...

About the final answer, we don't have to find the answer now. Time will answer it. Once day, you will know he is our legend or not.

I think we have to wait another 10 years to finally get a replacement for Shevchenko ...

Gunnar Nordahl 221
Andriy Shevchenko 173
Gianni Rivera 164
José Altafini 161
Aldo Boffi 136
Marco Van Basten 124
Giuseppe Santagostino 106
Pierino Prati 102
Louis Van Hege 98
Alberto Bigon 90
Nils Liedholm 89
Renzo Burini 88
Filippo Inzaghi (*) 78
Pietro Paolo Virdis 76
Marco Simone 75
Aldo Cevenini I 73
Pietro Sante Arcari 70
Daniele Massaro 70
Giovanni Moretti 68

Look at the list of all time goal scorers ... come on, he'll be a legend once he retires ... I know many may not agree just bcoz of his decision to move ... but we must not forget that he played 7 years for Ac Milan ... and he doesn't deserve to be called a traitor ...

Offcourse in this forum are people from all over the world who love hockey and one of them is also one Italian guy who is actually also huge Milan fan (he has a season ticket for Milan for over 20 years) and the word somehow got to Shevchenko.
I quote wat they were talking:

Nah, not threatened...that's way to much.

Shevchenko's wife is american and wanted to raise their son in England or US so he can learn to speak english, this is what Andryi said when he asked to be traded. But the rumor was around even before the request became official, so it happened that a couple fans who met her downtown Milan weren't very kind with her, but they only said "You B1tch, you're taking him away from Milan"...

This is the official version of why Shevchenko wanted to leave Milan. But there's another rumor going around here in the past few months, and I have a friend of mine who works in the fashion world who confirmed it. Btw, Sheva is a very close friend of Armani (They opened together a shop in Kiev), and the legend says Kirsten one day found his husband sleeping with an Armani's model (a guy). So she forced him to move to London or she would have told the media about it. Honestly I don't give a S about this story, I'm only disappointed with Andryi for leaving the way he did.

He could have said "Hey, he (Abrahmovich) will give me a ton of Euro and I want to play for another team". I wouldn't be happy as well, but still better than "My wife is the boss and I have to do what she wants". It's not that in Milan there'are not international schools to teach english to your kids...

I would not be shocked if they were talking abot a woman in Shevas bed but a guy (don't get me wrong - I have nothing against gey people). unsure.gif
This story about sleeping around with other people and the threat that she would have told the media about it, kind of explain why Sheva a couple of months before he left looked worried, tense (remember when he was sostituted) and out of nowhere started to confirm that he might leave Milan. I think that when he said that he wants to become like Maldini and end his carier in Milan he was telling the truth, but after that if wife caught him cheating everything suddenly changed and he was truly forced to move (to get away from his lover and wifenot telling the media).
