Two great comebacks tonight, Roma come back from 1-0 down to Bordeaux to winning 3-1, and Messi scores 2 goals in the last 5 minutes as Barca defeats Shaktar 2-1.

Barca got out of jail today. Barca 1-0 down till the last few minutes, and then they scored a lucky goal when the opposing teams were unfocused due to an injury. Barca were being ruthless, if it had been any of the Italian teams, it would have been cynical/unsportsmanlike.

But that's typical. Not a surprise coming from that club.

Gourcuff scored a good goal against Roma and was Bordeaux's man of the match... hope he realizes he won't win any trophies there and comes back to Milan to fight for a place.

Wow, the underdogs just got waxed today. You know something weird is in the air when Villareal lights up the stadium for six.

-Schuster proved he's dumb once again. No wingers in the first 11. Good job... giving 60 min to Juventus. They did whatever they wanted.

-Arsenal on-fire again. Good to see them doing well in the CL.
-United did their job, like Lyon and Villarreal.

-Bayern... I didn't expect them to give 3-0 on Fiorentina.
-Porto is just proving that their squad is not the same without Quaresma.

Forza Juve [of the CL!]. I like Real but as I've said before they lack something.. something special. I can't even imagine they can go all the way to the Final.

I think Juve should forget about the Scudetto and focus only on the CL title+CL spot. obviously it's motivating for them. without Buffon, Camoranesi, Trezeguet, Zebina, Poulsen, Zanetti, etc. and in deep crisis they still defeated 'Spanish Champions'.

I watched the Fiorentina game. The result was flattering for Bayern they did not deserve to win with that margin and the Viola should have scored.
And Lyon won too so now Fiorentina have a great task ahead of them... I don't think they can make it!

Did I say Juve would? I just said they should concentrate on the CL because they're a totally different team for obvious reasons [more or less the same reasons that saw us win the CL two years ago]. they have a better chance there than in the league IMO. and if I were ever to bet on which team between Real and Juve will go further in the CL, I'd bet on Juve multi-million buys every season and even being the champions of Spain doesn't necessarily mean greater chances in Europe. first of all Madrid still lack a standout player. all of them are more or less in the same level, no Zizou type player anymore. secondly Schuster, I guess, is not a great coach in European games. though he's not to blame, he hasn't coached in Europe much! he's like Madrid players at the moment: gaining experience, learning from mistakes...

I've made a compilation of him, celebrating that milestone. I'm putting the final touches on it now. I don't know if anybody would be interested to see it here, but I will definitely post it on soccerpulse.com

Ah it was the most boring game ever this Chelsea-Roma. I'd hoped for better.. Roma just went there and defended for 90 minutes, that's it. and Chelsea isn't THAT strong as they consider themselves to be. couldn't really bombard Roma's goal. I know they missed a few stars but that shouldn't be an alibi for a team like them.

Mikel, Malouda, Kalou, Bridge and Anelka are not as good as Essien, Makelele, Joe Cole, Drogba, Ashley Cole, Ballack... those who were missing. Specially the 3 upfront are far away from that.

Oh, dear! Has the curse of Milan transferred over to Roma: Of doing shtick in Serie A, and performing rather well in the Champions League? To be honest Roma is one Italian club I won't mind winning the CL. Just once.

To be fair Chelsea went out there expecting a win and took the match like a training ground exercise. Something you can't do when facing a top team, no matter what form they're currently in.
