Any team bar Man Utd, Barcelona, Arsenal to win it. Maybe Chelsea too, they're too strong and cocky right now. Need to calm the f down.

(I'd add the merda to his list of 'anyone but', but that's the only changed I'd make).

I don't put Inter, Roma or Juventus 'cause it's always good for Serie A to have a Euro Champ. Even if it's only to silence the cocky 4 from England.

BTW. Why do you keep writting "merda" when you edit many of my ofensive posts.
I mean, if you can saying merda all the time, why can't we say SH*T and not get censored?

Obviously I am going to report you. Like I give a damn if you're a mod.

Do what you gotta do then, Porty.

Do what you gotta do then, Porty.

For those who don't know "merda" means "sh!t" in Portuguese/Italian and some other languages.
Therefore if "sh!t" is censored, "merda" must be too.

It's offensive for me and for my eyes. cool.gif
Tennie
It's up to Mike to decide on this one. But if merda is censored out, then so too should be cvnto, cnut, and all the variations thereof. Because that is offensive for me and my eyes. smile.gif

Non sense. If you can insult any club, person, bla bla in MY LANGUAGE... I must be able do to so in YOURS.
Plain and simple.

If "sh!t" (the word) offends you, m1ke, etc than "merda" offends me too.

We're not talking about variations or anything like that. We're talking about a direct translation from English to Portuguese/Italian.
Tennie
As I said, it's Mike's call. Just as it's his call whether or not cvnto is offensive, which I believe it is.
acid911
Oh, it's good to be Mike! biggrin.gif Guys have a cold one, you too. I don't particularly like the word 'merda', I prefer to call them 'inter' when given a chance. And to be honest, neither is the world 'cnut', Porty. We may not notice it, but there are hundreds and thousands of people who come to this site/forum (it's a public place, after all) and there's bound to be some children who may glance through these posts. Ideally, we shouldn't use either of the terms. My humble $0.02. And oh here's the cold one.

We have more pressing matter to discuss and debate than using one word or another. cool.gif
TriniKing_CE
How can a variation ever be as offensive as the real thing?! huh.gif

Btw this is about as off topic as it gets this is the CL thread

P.s. - My suggestion... we take a poll if it really matters that much! tongue.gif
Zed.D
While I can't disagree with your sentiment about censoring 'merda', Porty, I humbly think you could have discussed it in a more friendly way and would have gotten your desired effect nonetheless. (of course, in that case 'cnut' too should be censored as it is as offensive as sh1t, if not more)

My own opinion is that offensive words must be censored only when they REALLY are offensive... not even fvck is always offensive! (for example, 'fvcking great', how is that offensive? biggrin.gif )

This is all, like acid would say, my humble and honest two cents about this matter. I hope no one gets mad at me!

Anyone but the classless and emetic Scousers to win it!

United and Real come after them but I would not mind them winning it so much. From the clubs that really do have a chance I want Chelsea to win it. From the rest, Arsenal and Fiorentina.

I'm with you on this one, brother. graduated.gif If it absolutely, positively has to be Italian, then I'd rather have it be Fiorentina or Roma (no matter how far-fetched that idea sounds). Miracles can happen, of course. Apart from them only Bayren and Chelsea/Arsenal has my support from the heavyweights. Lyon is another club which I want to do well. I think it's about time some low-profile club won this year's title. Heck, even Sevilla.

Juve, inter, United, Livepool, Madrid, Barca, and other douchebags? No thanks. dry.gif I'll pass.

+1. sleep.gif And just a couple of years back these teams were badmouthing Milan that we'd lose the CL 07 final. I take them as worthy opponents (as should be the case), but I'm not too thrilled of sending flowers to people/clubs who parcel me cow dung. Roma I can understand, as Totti came out in the open and at least well wished us before the final. Check out the archive threads before Athens here in the forum.

I'd just rather call them inter and Juve schifo, than add forza in front of their name. dry.gif

Has anyone considered that it might not be so horribly bad to support (for example) Juve in the champions league because if they focus THERE, they may focus less on Serie A?

Milan must win being better than the rivals. Not the rivals worse than us (like Mancini's Inter).

acid911
It makes me hate Carlo more than ever. mad.gif I hope he wins the Golden boot in Serie A, and Fiorentina lift the CL trophy. That would be stuff made of dreams: a player who was destroyed by his club, and a club that almost were declined entry into the CL by finishing 5th.

Technically, Fiorentina is bigger than us in that they finished ahead of us last season. rolleyes.gif They're playing in the CL, we're not. They don't have stupid decisions to make, we have. Granted there is a bit of a difference between the two jerseys, but Viola aren't slouches.

And the more Gila scores, the more certain I'll be that it was Carlo's fault who destroyed the lads (just like he's done to Gorcuff, just like he might do to Pato). I never liked him too much, but the guy did managed to score when we played two strikers up front. It was a mental problem, confidence, and the fact that Carlo used his stupid formations. dry.gif We even cost the poor guy his place in the NT, and he didn't complain. There's a whole season ahead for us to find out, who was at fault. Sitting here, I can only wish the man good luck.

Ha! I can guarandamntee if we were playing Lyon, Gila would neither have started, nor assisted, nor scored. I even remember saying in one of my posts here that we should have loaned him out with a buy-out option instead of disposing him off completely. Had he got his mojo back, we could have demanded more $$$ for him. And it was not like he could do any worse than what he was doing here in Milan, warming the bench.

If Carlo stays, I hope Gila scores against us. More than one. dry.gif

Diavolo
Well he scored already 3 goals (and I am happy for him because I like the kid, because he is humble and he never makes any problems) this season and whole Milan team 1 - so who has problems wink.gif!
As I said when Gila was leaving, I am sure he will score lots of goals for Fiorentina. He just needs fuc..ing crosses in box area and he will deliver. He came to us when we were starting to decline as a team (he was worse with every year like whole team although for me he was very solid with 17 goals in Serie A in his first year) and he never accustumed to our stile of play (was not suited for him to express his potential). Then he was criticized and that slowly started to affect his spirit and so on. I just wish that this doesn't happen again with Borriello!
Zed.D
OK, let's not get carried away. he had become painful to watch in his last months with us. he was clearly suffering. Milan and Gila were not made for each other (at least not under Carlo), simple as that! I'm happy his spell at Milan didn't destroy his career. good luck to him sleep.gif

That all said, I think Galliani's going to have a heart attack tonight!

Mainly because this is an English-speaking forum, so the foreign-language version doesn't have the same impact here as the S-word, and it's exclusive to discussing Inter.

That being said, we should allow only the S-word, because it gets tiresome having to edit whatever you want to say when writing a frustrated post (like after the loss to Genoa, etc.).
Zed.D
^^

So is that alright for us non-English speaking members to use swearwords in our specific languages on this forum when we're frustrated? biggrin.gif

Anyway... I think La Viola were robbed of a victory if this is to be believed.

Gila slams Lyon 'cheats'

Wednesday 17 September, 2008

Alberto Gilardino was furious with Lyon over their “lack of sporting behaviour” in the controversial goal.

Fiorentina were leading 2-0 in France when Lyon scored thanks to an offside trap that was sprung because Luciano Zauri was on the ground injured for over a minute.

“I am happy with our performance, but it’s a shame for those two incidents in the second half where the referee could’ve done much better.

“There is so much talk of sporting behaviour and then things like this happen. Clearly we were too gullible.”

Curiously, it was the same referee who allowed a Holland goal against Italy in very similar circumstances in Euro 2008.

“In the first 20 minutes of the second half we tried to hit them on the counter-attack, but we allowed them a bit too much and in those two incidents Lyon managed to recover.

“It was a great performance in terms of organisation and aggression, so it is a shame that we dropped two points, as the result was there for the taking.”

Bayern Munich’s 1-0 victory away to Steaua Bucharest means the Germans top the group on three points.

“We will do everything to play for a place in the knockouts. Now we have a game at home with Steaua and aim to get the three points.

“I want to compliment the whole team, as everyone did so well to come here and get a result against Lyon.”

Gilardino had scored a brace of headers in the first half, added to the goal he got in the preliminary round, proving he is back to his best after a poor spell at Milan.

“It is true that tactically Fiorentina are more aimed at helping the three strikers every week, whereas at Milan I always played with one or two players by my side, so it was different. To have the whole front line to attack is another matter for me.

“I enjoy the way we played tonight, although we have also done very well with some support strikers like Daniel Osvaldo and Mario Santana who can share the field with a centre-forward like me.”

Del Piero is still awesome. cool.gif

Did anybody hear Wengers comments after his game last night? First of all he says it shouldn't have been a penalty against them. I don't know about you, but dragging someone to the floor from behind is generally seen as a foul. Then he criticised the lack of added on time, as he fouls his team would have gone on to win the game if the correct amount was added on. Oh, and in a shocking surprise, he forgot to mention their 90th minute equaliser was offside. And people wonder why I hate the guy. rolleyes.gif

Oh, and I saw the Celtic highlights earlier. Samaras went through, was fouled from behind.. then the Italian referee sent off the wrong person. laugh.gif
