Stan with a great shot. VdS saves. if this continues, Inter will score. they've had more scoring chances than Man U already

Yeah, but don't you think 12-1 is a bit too much for "professionalism"?
If Sporting has a defense with more holes than Swiss cheese, that's their problem. They sure as hell found that out the hard way last night. Bayern can't be blamed for that in the slightest.
Anyway, it seems weird that this discussion has been drawn out for this long. If Milan were in Bayern's shoes instead, we wouldn't be having this sentiment of evil demons running up the score.

HT 1-0. Inter were easily the better side (had more chances). they deserved at least one goal. hope they manage it in the 2nd half!

Great first half very entertaining. United could have scored again if it was not for the worst attempt on a one-on-one in the history of football by O'Shea but Inter could also have scored in more than a couple of occasions.
United's defense has been really tested tonight and it proves they're not as rock solid as we all thought. On the other end, Santon has been Inter's weakest cog in defense.

I've always felt this way, even when Milan are winning by lots of goals I feel we must slow down. The worse thing here is that this was the second leg of a tie that ended 0-5 in the first leg... this is not like United beating Roma 7-1, I never said anything about that match. But when you've managed to get a result like the one Bayern got in Portugal well... it's in my eyes shameful to humiliate them again. Don't tell me Sporting's performance was shameful, of course it was, I'm just looking on the other side now.

Mou made a HUGE mistake by subbing Stankovich and Balotelli. I wanted Inter to progress, but I'm obviously not upset that they went out one bit. I'm just wondering which team to support! every team I supported has been eliminated! Real, Juve and now Inter.
Now there's only Roma. I'm not supporting them so maybe they progress to the next round!

Very good game that, Inter were unlucky. That's the first time in 14 games in which Sir Alex has managed to score more than 1 vs Jose.

Roma-Arsenal is going to ET. Not too bothered who wins that, but if Arsenal go through I hope all 4 English teams avoid each other in the QFs.

(yes this is predictable just like your comment would be had Inter progressed so shut up)

ha-ha! Bravo Mourinho you're just as special as Mancini!

(I'm sure that had Inter gone through no Mou fan here would say it's Mancini's team like you said it was Mou's Chelsea that Grant reached the CL final with last season... oh the irony)
Figo was awful, he destroyed Inter's game trashing their chances at the same time... special substitution...

You really can't see the difference between Mancio and Mou's Inter in the CL, can you?

I honestly saw a different Inter. a bit unlucky, a bit naive, but certainly nowhere near as embarrassing as they were in the past 3 seasons under Mancio.

Yes. Inter played well, probably didn't even deserve to go out. The fact they were playing the best team in World football doesn't really help. I don't think anyone can beat United at the moment, Inter are easily the 2nd best team around for me, far better than Barca.

I too saw a different Inter... but only for one half! They played much better than they did against Liverpool in both legs last season. But what about the other three 3x45 minutes? They looked like the usual European Inter at San Siro where they were outclassed and they were very lucky not to lose and they pretty much gave up after United's second goal tonight even if they had 40 minutes to do something...
It was indeed an improvement from the European Inter of the last few seasons but still... this is a team coached by Mourinho... I'm sure everyone expected something a bit more... well... let's say... special.

These are the teams I don't want to see win it in very particular order:
Liverfool
.
If they don't win I'll be happy and if United fail too I'll be even happier. Well I can't be happier because the happy bar would already be full but yeah you get what I mean. I want Barcelona, Chelsea or Arsenal to win. Please no all-English (or all-Spanish but that does not look very probable) final. I want to see a Barcelona Vs Chelsea final. If it was an all-English final I'd like it to be United vs Liverfool... cause it would be so ****ing painful for the Scousers if they lost!! And then I want the two set of fans to go kill each other inside the Colosseo!

Inter deserved to go out. They played some good football between the 20th and 45th minute and would have deserved the equalizer then. But after ManUnited scored their second (why did no one attack Rooney before he crossed?) Inter played like they already gave up. And Figo....it was hard to see a player like him in that shape.
About that Bayern thing. I really don't see the problem. Haven't you guys ever played a match when everything you did worked? It's great and you could play on forever....I guess that's what happened to Bayern. Plus, who could accuse a player like Müller because he played his best football? He's 19 and needs to use every chance he gets to show his skills. (Gosh...can't believe I actually defend Bayern)
