@R7... I can't believe I'm reading this from a guy who's seen Sacchi's Milan! I don't want another such CL don't you understand already? I don't want us to not even compete in the league in order to win the CL, I just don't rate such a success highly. It would make me happy but not satisfied!

This is a club who could and more importantly SHOULD be fighting on all fronts. Maybe it's enough for you but not enough for me! I prefer the 04/05 squad and season to the last one! Back then we failed on everything but at least we went out fighting... that's when I was satisfied! No win but spirit, no triumph but blood and sweat on the f@cking shirt... to me it's not just success that matters, the way you win and lose is as important as anything else!

And that's what separates Milan from the rest... not just cold numbers!
*

Sacchi's Milan was a different team. A team that no one has ever seen before and there will never be the same. That team is the blueprint to what Milan should be like, that was (i really am all out o words here that team just can't be repainted.. a dream)!

You think I don't want that too ?? U think I like the way the team is handling itself ?? U think I am not worried about this Wednesday's game, as well as the one on Sunday ?

I worry about Milan, that is why I am on here. Unfortunately, of all the ppl, I would expect u (the most) to stand up for the team in here. Even if the current situation isn't the best. This Milan team has sweat and gave blood. Don't discredit these players and coach!!

Who said I wanted the CL ?! I have stated numerous times on here that I want to Scudetto, BUT unfortunately this is how things are going .. With that said, u have two option either u moan and bash or u could give the team credit because they are the strongest side in Europe.

Maybe right now, it ain't clicking together, but in the long haul Milan will surely prove everyone wrong all over again. 30 more games to go in Serie A .. thus anything can happen.

p.s. last season in December we were 15th on the table and with almost 20 points adrift of Inter.

"I wasn't expecting this kind of gap," admitted Mancini. "I thought that they would be right behind us at this stage but sometimes football is strange and unexpected things can happen."

Yup. Appearantly Juventus was robbed today - 2 penalties [nowhere penalties] given away by the ref to Napoli.

Those decisions were controversial to say the least. Juve robbed

And they say inter are breaking away rolleyes.gif no wonder.

And why are those contradicting... it seems to me like it's the same thing more or less...

Well one area he says he expected Milan to be neck and neck, and then he says he's not surprised we are so far behind.

Daaamn...today's gonna be a bad match..ugly feeling.

Milan had a chance to make up points on Roma, Inter, Juve today.. but it wasn't to be sleep.gif

At least Inter drew.

Milan are in a worst position than last season at this time, according to the official website.

Last season, we'd done pretty well in the beginning. We wiped out the deficit really quick.

So? last year we won 3 games in a row and then started to play awful. This season it only took one game...
Jack Sparrow
I know...so last season has been better than this season no?? huh.gif

Which isn't saying much...sad.gif

Both seasons are equally shameful, and it remains to be seen if we can play good in the second part of the season like we did last year.

Lack of motivation??? Can't be game strategy....bad luck??

Can Ronaldo take us out of this bog?? I doubt it, this is even worse than last year... sad.gif

When the Disciplinary Commission introduced new rules allowing video evidence to be used against divers, it was greeted with praise from all quarters. At last, the cheats will be punished and discouraged from doing it again! Yet nine weeks into the season and we have hit our first impasse. When is a dive not a dive?

Marcelo Zalayeta made no contact with Gianluigi Buffon – this is beyond dispute – but whether or not he had a tiny shove from Nicola Legrottaglie makes little difference. He catapulted himself over the Juventus shot-stopper and simultaneously dragged his foot along the ground to seek contact. Let us for the sake of argument take Napoli’s word for it, that the Uruguayan was only trying to avoid a dangerous collision with his former teammate. “He jumped over him in a gentlemanly fashion, immediately getting back up without making a meal of it,” said director general Pierpaolo Marino. So why didn’t gentleman Zalayeta tell the referee that when the penalty was assigned? If it was purely to avoid hurting an opponent, should he not have piped up with that explanation instead of dooming the team he had represented for eight years to an unfair defeat?

Apparently not, and here is where we find our fundamental problem with the way football is viewed. “Referring to the fact Zalayeta didn’t tell the referee there was no contact sets a dangerous precedent,” added Marino. “From the next match everyone will want to point out the players who didn’t confess to the referee.” Maybe I’m missing something, but wasn’t that the point of this rule change in the first place? If we are to stamp out simulation and encourage players to help the officials rather than con them with Oscar-worthy performances, a large part of that involves dialogue and honesty when someone gets it wrong.

It’s not that hard to imagine a world where “gentlemanly” conduct involves admitting to a mistake. In Milan’s defeat to Roma on Sunday, Paolo Maldini asked the referee and linesman to reverse a throw-in, as it had come off his leg rather than the Giallorossi player. He didn’t need the threat of punishment over his head to make such a gesture, but clearly for some clubs even that is not enough to make gentlemen out of cheats.

Zalayeta was suspended for two matches for diving.

Then Napoli appeal, and the suspension is revoked??? realmad.gif

Isn't Serie A enough of a laughing stock without this sh!t!!
dst
Zalayeta did not dive, the ref is a complete idiot!

Serie A is a laughing stock?? They are the only ones who punish the wrong-doers!!
Jack Sparrow
If Zalayeta was only 'falling down' to not hurt Buffon, he should also not have allowed the penalty to be taken. Wtf was all that about.

He fell down, they got a penalty.

And Serie A has lost a lot of respect after calcipoli.

Among EPL, Spanish, and Serie A, we're the poorest, and the least favoured. If it weren't for Milan doing well, we'd be behind the Bundesliga. At least people there turn up to watch games.

It has lost a lot of respect because people are hypocrites! What was said on those tapes and was used as evidence against Giuve, Milan and the others was nothing... I'm sure these things are said in every other European league too! I've seen Madrid and Barcelona win leagues with scandalous refereeing and I've seen uncanny referee mistake in England, France and Germany!

To me, calcio d'Italia has instead gained respect. People call Italians cheaters and crap like and they hide behind their impotence to punish those who do the same as Giuve and Milan did! Italians had the courage to demote Juventus, a team that is considered an ethnic symbol... until the others do the same they should just shut the f@ck up!!

"Italians are cheaters"... I hear this almost every day... f@ck you!

Come one pal... first of all, what makes you think everyone's a saint? Then, even if he wanted to tell the ref about it, he wouldn't cause his team would punish him... it's not like these guys are free to act as they want. Also, since whoever dives to earn a penalty and gets it is not ashamed, what makes you think a guy who did not even dive and earn a penalty would?
Tennie
Let's all say a little prayer for Genoa. Today, they face the Merda and the Merda are fielding their THIRD STRING keeper, Orlandoni. Surely Borriello can get one past him. One hopes.

Ok...I'll agree with you, you have a point dst. Maybe he was putting his team first. I'm thinking of Kaka against Bayern. Was it the second goal in the home leg. He wasn't even looking for a penalty.

Trezeguet Tells Inter: We Have Waited A Year For This Game

David Trezeguet has told rivals Inter that Juventus have been counting the days for a whole year to play against them.

The Bianconeri were infamously relegated to Serie B and revoked of two Scudetti after the Calciopoli crisis last summer.

While Inter were cantering to the Serie A title last campaign, Juventus had to make do with playing against the likes of Albinoleffe and Frosinone.

Italy’s most successful club has now returned to the top-flight and are raring to go ahead of tomorrow’s Derby d’Italia.

“Perhaps for Inter it is just a normal game, but for us, well we have waited a year for this match,” Trezeguet told La Stampa.

“We are playing the champions of Italy and the most complete squad at the moment so this game will reveal to us how far this Juve can go this season.

“We have already had a positive signal in Rome [during the 2-2 draw with Roma in week four]. It will be an attractive game to watch and an attractive game to play in. It will also be important.

“Juventus have a winning mentality and a desire to win everything in the end. This will also be the case tomorrow night.”

Inter Winning Thanks To Ibrahimovic, Says Moggi

The former Juventus General Director spoke ahead of tomorrow's clash between Juventus and Inter during a television program on LA7.

Luciano Moggi explained how he felt over a year ago when the whole Calciopoli scandal erupted and he ended up as the centre of attention.

"I felt like a derailed train and I used to talk to myself," admitted Moggi at 'Le Invasioni Barbariche'. "From the triumphs and an important activity, I hit rock bottom.

"I was afraid to leave house because I didn't know how the fans would take it," he continued.

"Then I reacted, even with spite, in an abrupt way, even though I had thought of killing myself, but in front of the family that I had to protect, I reacted."

The focus then went to tomorrow's game between eternal enemies Juventus and Inter, and the winless past of the Nerazzurri.

"Inter were not winning, but it was enough for them to buy Ibrahimovic, who alone makes the entire team and now they win," he opined.

"I had Ibrahimovic and if I was still there I wouldn't have sold him to Inter."

On the one million dollar question of who will win the match, Moggi still showed his Bianconeri heart.

"I hope Juventus wins, but objectively Inter are stronger."

Yep. He was just looking to grab the ball to take the corner. Even when it was given he was along way from the dispute, and just had a look of "hmmm ok then". RESPECT!

I guess its hard though, players know if there in the box and they can manage to get some contact off the defender, generally there going to go down.

Go juve, hope they belt the merda. Trezagol!

Serie A is in easy task for Inter nowadays.

-Juventus needs 2-3 years to build another top-level squad like they had 2 years ago.
-Roma compared to Inter... is a joke. No money.
-Milan is on holidays... need new blood, a new era in the club.
