But he must prove his worth on Tuesday or he will be out of Ballon d'Or race.

He'll be out anyway IMO. Liverpool won't lose it with the injuries that Inter have.

Plus, the Ballon d'Or this year will be for the Euro 2008 winner team. The key player.

The difference is that Ibrahimovic is having a stunning season, and Kaka' a shitty one.

They play different positions but yes,..Kaka isn't that good. But it really is normal and expected. Noone's having a good time right now.

Inter’s Most Loved Player? Gresko & Ronaldo!

The Nerazzurri turned 100 years-old yesterday, and as part of the celebrations, the club asked readers on the official website to name their favourite goal, favourite game, and most loved player.

Unfortunately the site was hijacked by opposition supporters, who flooded in and ensured that Vratislav Gresko and Ronaldo were voted as ‘the most loved players’ in the club’s history. innocent.gif

Gresko of course was guilty of a horrendous mistake during the 4-2 defeat to Lazio on the last day of the season in 2002, a result that cost the club the Scudetto.

Ronaldo is regarded as a traitor my many Inter fans for his decision to first quit the club to join Real Madrid, before retuning to Serie A last year to sign for city-rivals Milan.

The ‘favourite game’ category was also vandalised, as the aforementioned 4-2 defeat to Lazio on May 5, 2002 came first in the poll.
Tennie
I think we can thank our friends the Juventini fans for some part of the above. smile.gif Saw a request from a Zebra fan to Italian fans of Milan to, er, vote appropriately on a poll.

Scary, that thing had Milan and Juve fans working together.

That's a little sad to go and ruin something like that, in my opinion.

tongue.gif laugh.gif ...dammit, why not the 6-0 under Cesare Maldini?

It's stupid and ridiculous, but somehow it's just the Inter mojo!

Sacchi: Inter Are Like The ‘Juve Of Moggi’

Former Milan and Italy Coach Arrigo Sacchi has slammed the refereeing from Inter’s match with Reggina on Saturday, describing the Nerazzurri as being like the “Juve of Moggi”.

This Serie A season has been littered with refereeing errors, many of them seeming to be benefiting Inter and penalising the likes of Juventus and Milan.

Indeed last month the Gazzetta dello Sport printed a revised table of where all the Serie A teams would be if no mistakes had been made.

Juve topped the table, having lost 12 points to rivals Inter due to errors. Since this report there was the controversial defeat to Reggina, which led the Bianconeri to write an open letter of complaint to the Italian Football Federation.

At the weekend there was more controversy during Inter’s match with Reggina at San Siro.

With the scores goalless, and Inter struggling, Esteban Cambiasso was fouled a few yards outside the box, only for the referee to award a penalty.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic scored the spot-kick, and Inter went on to win 2-0, causing a furious reaction from Reggina President Lillo Foti.

"I never speak about the referees but on Saturday was old-style refereeing that I absolutely did not like,” said former Milan great Sacchi.

“We seemed to see the Juve of Moggi. Sadly in our country the small teams always get punished in situations of doubt.”

Luciano Moggi was the former general manager of Juventus, who was suspended from football for five years in 2006 for his alleged involvement in the Calciopoli crisis.

I was around for Sacchi's nightmare season...that was not fun 1997.... sad.gif

We tried changing coaches...just like everyone wanted now...and a veritable who's who too...first Sacchi then Capello...

11th one season, 10th the next....thanks for coming out...

I've just spent a highly amusing lunch hour reading through the Italian media's take on Mancini's announcement. There doesn't seem to be a clear-cut view on the matter - people are all over the place on what they think happened, who might succeed him, whether he's leaving at all, and whether he'll even be on the bench for the upcoming game v. Palermo.

Highlights include:

*Moggi saying he knew Mancini was going to leave
*Rumors about Mancini going either to Barca, Chelsea, or Man City
*Rumors about Mancini not going anywhere at all
*Rumors that the situation with the Merda is so bad that the entire medical staff and a number of players wouldn't talk to Mancini even before last night
*Rumors that it's all a big ploy for attention
*Rumors that Mourinho will come and bring half of the Chelsea squad with him
*Rumor that Moratti is so furious he's going to fire Mancini immediately and Sinisa Mihailovic will be interim coach
*Rumor that Moratti will do anything to keep Mancini

I don't think anything is really decided at this point. The Italian sports press is sure having fun with this one, though.

I suspected that Mancini may have been pulling a stunt, but we all know now that he is a little attention wh0re

He either did it to deflect attention away from the defeat, or maybe he wanted his face all over the front page of La Gazzetta

I think he aimed for both. But he truly took some weight off Inter's hands-down defeat! Anyway... I hope the whole issue of the defeat and Mancini's ridiculous declarations will create enough convulsion inside the Inter locker room to make them lose the championship race.

Now that would be nice, and i can see it harming the title race a little. Inter may still win it, but not by a large margin

Lippi Will Replace Ranieri - Moggi

Former Juventus general manager Luciano Moggi claimed he already knows who will be the team's coach next season, and it isn't Claudio Ranieri...

Ahead of Juventus' delicate home match against Napoli tomorrow night, Luciano Moggi has decided to speak out and make some 'shocking' declarations again. According to the disgraced former general manager of the Bianconeri, the team's next coach will be World Cup winner Marcello Lippi, who has already been at the club in two separate, and very successful, stints before.

"I don't think [Claudio] Ranieri will still be Juve's coach next year," he said, "independently from where they end up in the table. His successor will be Marcello Lippi, but the management can't make the same requests they did with Ranieri and then change things along the road, everything would fall apart."

Moggi believes the Juve management asked Ranieri to reach the Uefa Cup at the start of the season, but later they decided that Champions League qualification was the minimum objective.

"I think the current management shows a lack of experience. [Jean-Claude] Blanc and [Giovanni] Cobolli Gigli both knew what the initial objective was, but when the results were better than they expected, they weren't happy, they started getting over excited, which is typical of people who don't know what they're doing," he blasted.

"After that they said the third place was the minimum target and that the Champions League objective could not be failed, and that led to a tense environment which was unnecessary, causing the team to get just one point in three matches."

And you should replace Galliani. Berlusconi asked for that some seasons ago but it didn't happen. A shame. Maybe we'd have a competitive team by this time.

I don't talk about Calciocaos. Moggi knows football. Galliani does not.
misha
Moggi just want attention. Nobody gives a **** about him anymore. There are rumors that Lippi has a promise from Silvio to take Milan next year.
dst
Lippi will NOT replace Ranieri... you know why? Caue Moggi said he will... and he's been talking **** ever since the chaos he created was exposed...

Doped in a good way or a bad way? I just got home in time to see the Matrix own goal. Like old times. smile.gif

EDIT: The Viola are up 2-0, but have had to make 2 subs due to injury in the first 30 mins. (Jorgenson for Gamberini and Papa Waigo for Santana).

Yeah, he's playing very good!

Firentina are going to win the game... we're now 4 points behind them and if you ask me, we will not finish in top four. we'll play in UEFA Cup next season and our board knows this, that's why Galliani said Serie A will be our priority next season because he knows this team cannot reach the CL qualification spot.

That turn and shot was pure class.

But do you have any doubts Inter will win today? They're a world-class squad. They don't have 11 or 12 top players. They've actually 'a squad'.

They lost vs. Liverpool because of the injuries and that they played 120 of the 180 with 10 men.

Jimenez did the 2nd today.

What surprised me is that who some of those goals have come from. Cagliari are thrashing Torino 3-0. Also in the relegation zone, Reggina are thumping Siena 4-0.
