Kaka: Sheva Told Me To Stay

Shevchenko moved to Chelsea in 2006 after seven glorious years at Milan, however his time in England has been very miserable.

Last week Kaka signed a new contract at San Siro until 2013, which signalled his intention to end his career at the club. The Brazilian says that Shevchenko was a key factor in persuading him to extend his deal.

"I've seen players like Shevchenko who leave Milan and then regret it,” Kaka stated.

“Sheva told me to consider my choices very carefully because this club is so special.”

Kaka also looked ahead to tonight’s Champions League last 16 second leg tie with Arsenal at San Siro.

The 25-year-old is confident that Milan can get the job done following the 0-0 draw in London a fortnight ago.

"It will be a special game against Arsenal,” he said.

“I can already picture a packed-out San Siro, like it was against Celtic last season.

“Arsenal are a very strong team but, in the crucial moments, Milan never betray their fans."

Wow. Talk about dedication....
[Short version: after getting back to Milan from Rome after the game, Kaka went straight to Milanello at 4am to do physical therapy in the pool. It apparently had the desired effect, as Kaka was running all over the place during training today.]

Magari succede, a volte è proprio così.

HEES OUT FOR 10 DAYS OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! OMG OMG IM' GOING TO GO INSANE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 10 DAYS THATS TOO LONG !!

The Brazilian superstar was forced off after only nine minutes of Milan’s 2-1 defeat to Sampdoria last night.

It has been revealed that the 25-year-old has a right leg flexor injury, and will be out of action for around 10 days.

Further tests will be undergone today and tomorrow, but Kaka will certainly miss the game with Torino this Saturday, while he faces a race against time to be fit for the following week’s match with Atalanta.

Kaka has had a miserable season on the injury front and has been playing with a niggling sensation in his knee for a few months now.

This has been a key factor in his under-par performances recently, as the Brazilian has struggled to match his brilliant level of performances from last year when he led Milan to Champions League glory.

Kaka: I Want To Become Milan Symbol
Kaka has pledged his long-term future to Milan, and says that he wants to become the captain and symbol of the team.

The Brazilian has had a largely frustrating season, with injuries limiting his individual impact both in Italy and in Europe.

This has contributed to the Rossoneri’s hugely disappointing campaign, and with just five games of the season remaining it is looking unlikely that they will be qualifying for next season’s Champions League.

This has led to talk that some of the big name players could leave in the summer, however Kaka has made it perfectly clear that he has no intentions of quitting for a very long time.

"All that I've won is because I am here,” said the playmaker, who turns 26 later this month.

“My desire is to stay here, become the captain of this team, a reference point, a flag.”

Kaka has made 25 appearances in Serie A this season, and despite his injury struggles, has still managed a highly respectable 11 goals, even if four of these have been penalties.

Good on you, Ricky! I don't know but I still believe that not many players will leave if we don't qualify for Europe. We're not a team like Inter/Liverpool, plus all the talk about the "home atmosphere" has to count for something. No to mention that most of our players are either loyal to the club, at the end of their careers, or just plain, complete leechers. tongue.gif

Some might leave, but I reckon most won't.

I hope what you're saying is true, but you can't count on players like Kaladze. He even mentioned about leaving for EPL when Paolo decided against retiring after Athens 2007. But whoever leaves, I'd say good riddance. As long as we sign up new, younger players. unsure.gif

Very. Can't believe how he'll feel when Kaladze retires I've even heard DST has covered his room with pictures of Kaladze, with matching bedsheets, pillow covers, door knobs, desktop wallpapers, screensaver, all the way down to mittens, socks, and underwear. Though, just between us two, I'm not personally sure about the last item. unsure.gif

Yes, technically he is. He's also arguably their best player and captain. It's not that he's plain bad - it's just that he lacks class. Completely. And we've been spoiled in that department by Paolo - and to a lesser degree Nesta, Baresi and Costacurta. Otherwise, I know 99 other clubs who'd happily sign Kaladze.

It's not his fault really. He's a good player in a great club, very much like Gilardino. wink.gif

Ronaldinho Arrival Could See Kaká Exit, Report Claims

Ronaldinho's proposed move to AC Milan could well mean that Kaká will leave the Serie A outift as he believes that the pair are incompatible, according to an outlandish report.

The two Brazilians may both have enjoyed being labelled as the world's best player, but Marca believe that their off-field habits and attitude mean that they are not able to co-operate with each other.

In another bid to dig up Real Madrid's interest in Kaká, the report states that the Milan superstar's beliefs are in stark contrast to his Blaugrana compatriot's enjoyment of night life.

Should a deal to take Ronaldinho to the San Siro be pushed through, then Madrid should make an immediate enquiry about Kaká because he will, no doubt, be unhappy, Marca continue.

Milan supremo Silvio Berlusconi is determined to push through a deal this summer that will see if the Madrid-biased paper's claims are backed up with a preliminary agreement already being put into place by the player's agent and brother, Roberto de Assis.

In their online edition, Marca have given readers a chance to vote in a poll with no hint of irony as they ask who Real Madrid should sign: Kaká or Cristiano Ronaldo.

Despite repeated rebuttals to even be heard by either Milan or Manchester United, it appears that the Brazilian is out-of-favour among Los Merengues' supporters as Ronaldo has over 67 per cent of the vote

With the talk of Shevchenko and Drogba moving to the city of Milan and considering the relationship that Chelsea shares with Milan.

As of late, news from London is coming at full swing to point out that Chelsea manager Avram Grant is a keen admirer of Milan's star player and has made it clear he would love to have him in his squad next year. Kaka' replied: "Grant wants me for 130M euros ?! He has to ask Galliani and see if he is willing to sell me. Anyways, I am very happy in Milan."

Happy Birthday Ricky!!

Hopefully he has another big game installed, looks a million dollars since he's been back.

4 goals and an assist since he's been back. Had he been more decisive and a couple of real good saves by the keeper, could have had like 10 goals.

Great to see him back to his absolute best.

Kaka seeks derby gift

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

As Kaka celebrates his 26th birthday, he asks for two special presents – victory in the Milan derby and the captain’s armband.

“Winning the derby has a very special taste to it,” smiled the Brazilian ahead of the intercity clash on May 4.

“When I first arrived we used to win it all the time, but now for the past two or three years things have changed. We’ve got to turn that trend around, as a great deal of our future is tied up in beating Inter.”

The Nerazzurri have triumphed in the last three derbies on the trot and won four of the last five Serie A meetings, including a 2-1 back on December 23.

This is Kaka’s fifth year at the club and, with Paolo Maldini considering retirement and Gennaro Gattuso reportedly leaving the country, he is next in line for the captain’s armband.

“One day I would love to wear it. I am currently learning from Maldini and if one day it does happen, it would be wonderful for me,” he told Milan Channel.

“The team is very close to Milan and when you have played together a long time you know everything about each other. That is the secret of a winning side – we all learn from one another.

“For example, I try to treat Alexandre Pato the same way the others treated me when I arrived, I try to protect and coddle him a little bit. He will learn too.”

If Kaka has one complaint about the life of a Milan star, it is the packed fixture list and he blames this for the spate of fitness concerns.

“There are too many games. Players get tired physically and in terms of motivation, as isn’t easy to be constantly focused. The injuries reflect this schedule.”
