I'll be honest, I thought Celtic fans were paranoid.

Well look at what happened with us in all our encounters with them last season

Yes, Uefa are out to get Milan and love Barca.

Are you both really saying this?

I'm not saying that UEFA are out to get us.

But it's pretty common knowledge by now that Barca get help when they're caught in a rough spot.

On the bright side, if we do get through with all the top teams being paired up together, it won't be all that difficult to do well in it.

Still there would be plenty or talent to knock us out. Though you never know, once in a blue moon there are seasons like the one with Porto- Monaco final.

Besides our game, United - Madrid should be interesting.

UEFA aren't out to get us, they're there to serve Barca though.

That's the biggest "if" there is.

Can't see u getting past them one way or another over 2 legs

Yep, I'm more looking forward to some of those ties instead of the thumping we'll receive

sigh...

At least we made it through the group...at one point that was a doubt.

Malaga, Hajduk Split, Osijek, Rapid and Dinamo Bucarest, and Partizan Belgrade have been banned from UEFA from all European competitions for the 2013/2014 season due to violation of FFA regulations.

lol

And yet teams like Man City and PSG are all within regulations. UEFA are so ridiculous.
kurtsimonw
I'm not sure UEFA have the balls to punish top English clubs. If UEFA lost English clubs it'd hurt them more than English clubs not playing in the CL.

Their time will eventually come if things stay the same.

City have been spending longer, and more, than Malaga. Just shows UEFA have no balls and no intent to apply the rules properly. Basically first indications suggest it's a joke as expected.

Malaga were banned because they didn't pay the wages to their players.

Yeah, but he suddenly got cold feet a few months ago and refused to invest in the club any longer. Haven't you read the stories?

I heard he was pulling out, then next thing I heard he said it was a myth and he's fully commited. Oh well, good.

It's important to pull out on time.

question: i tried googling this but couldnt find a definite answer. is wesley sneijder not cup tied for gala? and if not, why is that?
kurtsimonw
He played in the Europa League for Inter, not Champions League. I think they changed the ruling on that a few years ago. They're different competitions and are treated as such now.

Yep, he's not cup tied due to this.

Another reason why we should have absolutely JUMPED at the chance to get him.

Well he went to Galata for under 10m right? Maybe we'd have to spend twice that much to get him, is he worth right now though? What ever happened to him anyway?

My Inter fan friend says he's very injury prone.

Salamon, Zaccardo and Niang will be included in our CL squad.

That means no Traoré and Muntari.

Actually, Traoré was included in the list, not Salamon.

What's this love for Traoré all of a sudden? The guy is pure crap. I would have preferred Salamon instead. Meh, it doesn't matter anyway.

We would not want that then with our medicals.

That means Salamon is not anything special. I'm not saying he's bad but he can't be special if Traore gets in ahead of him.

Or maybe he's considered too young and inexperienced for such levels yet. Remember, he was playing in Serie B only a few days ago. Also, El Shaarawy was not inserted in the CL list two years ago. It doesn't really tell you much.

So, big night for Carlo in the CL as his PSG side travels to Valencia.

Becks won't feature but Mini Milan will have Ibra and Silva in there.

I've totally mellowed on PSG now - yeah they took our best players but it's hard to totally hate a club with 5 former Milan employees on its payroll.

I hope they do well tonight and I'll be watching.

As an aside, it's widely expected that Jose will leave the Bernabau and Carlo has admitted he'd jump at the chance to take over. My question is would we want Jose at Milan, being a former Inter coach?

The bigger question is would Jose want to come to Milan? devil.gif I wouldn't say no, but very, very slim chances of this happening. There is not just the case of his time at Inter (which he enjoyed) but also where we can afford him.

Who are the 5? Carlo, Ibra, Silva, Leo... Can't remember who you're referring to unsure.gif

As for Jose, the question is would he even want to come here. I'd personally jump at the chance to get a coach of his calibre at Milan

Yeah, although I don't like how they've spent a billion euros on transfers the past few years I cannot but feel the same way about PSG.

Even though he's said he would not I don't think you can rule it out. And even though we'd certainly win with him I sure hope it won't happen!! puke.gif

Yeah I find it hard to hate them. With the Milan lot, Pastore, Lavezzi, Sirigu and Verratti I just like the Serie A feel of the overall team.

Will be watching Celtic-Juve tonight though with my support firmly in the Bianconeri corner.
