Wow, some dweeb actually had a Madrid shirt made up with his name? Reminds me of the schmuck who was pictured wearing a C. Ronaldo Man City jersey in the stands during a game over a month ago.

You definitely don't see that out here; it'd be like putting Tim Duncan on a Lakers jersey.

It is pretty stupid. Although, I do find there's less of a 'support your local team' attitude in the US. When I was in NY a few months ago, I saw jerseys of every kind, it was crazy.

yeah north americans are all bandwagon jumpers and glory hunters lol tongue.gif

the only outside home team i root for is the Florida State Seminoles

other than that...it's University of Memphis, Memphis Grizzlies and Tennessee Titans

problem though is I live in Missouri now. I think that's why fans are spread across the US because so many people move to different parts of the country

Florentino Perez: Kaka Was Born To Play For Real Madrid

s the Kaka saga looks set to reach boiling point in the next few days, Real Madrid president Florentino Perez was like a child waiting for his birthday as he expressed his obvious excitement ahead the Monday press conference.

Speaking in an interview on the Punto pelota show, Perez declared, “Kaka is one of those players that was born to play for Real Madrid. In some ways he reminds me of Zidane in that respect.”

In reference to the news that Kaka had earlier signed a replica Real Madrid shirt for a fan in Brazil, Perez added:

“Has he signed already? I am extremely excited to see what could happen on Monday.”

Kaka's current club, AC Milan, have insisted that any move to the Spanish giants will happen only if the player himself wants it to.

One way or another, the Brazilian will let the world, and the excited Mr Perez, know on Monday.

Yeah so was Cr7, ribery, zidane, ronaldo etc... rolleyes.gif
pacang

haha.. this means nothing.. remember how Thierry Henry react when he received a barca shirt when he was at Arsenal?

even after his reaction, he still moved to barca..

Why doesn't Silvio sell the club ? I have no idea other than his affection towards it. An Arab, Russian, Persian .. They are better off buying into an EPL club than an Italian. (In fact, I read this editorial once about Sheikh Mansour's acquisition of City, he was interested in Roma, but after doing a feasibility study they backed off)

Shall we believe you or this Mediaset article that the Sheiks are not interested in Milan? wink.gif

It might be nice farytail if we accepted arabian offer. On Manday we might say 'Kaka is not for sale'. But Berlu is too proud and too foolish to accept this offer....(((

D-Day for Kaka decision

Sunday 7 June, 2009

It’s D-Day as Milan hold a summit to decide whether they’ll sell Kaka to Real Madrid, but the player is keeping quiet.

"I will speak about my future soon," Kaka told the media in Uruguay, where Brazil won a World Cup qualifier 4-0.

"At the right moment I will speak about it."

Patron Silvio Berlusconi announced this week that a meeting would be held on Sunday to reach a conclusion.

He will get together with general manager Adriano Galliani and new Coach Leonardo to decide whether or not to accept a £64m offer from Real Madrid.

“On Sunday we will have a meeting to discuss transfer policy and in that arena we will decide Ricky’s future,” explained Berlusconi on Milan Channel.

“We will see what happens then, but the situation is not to be taken for granted. Kaka might not necessarily leave.”

An announcement is not expected until Monday morning, but details could leak out later this evening.

Real Madrid President Florentino Perez is hopeful of a successful conclusion, but admits to some nerves.

“Kaka is one of those players who was born to play for Real Madrid,” Perez told Spanish television programme Punto Pelota.

“In many things he reminds me of [Zinedine] Zidane. Has Kaka already signed? I am anxiously awaiting what could happen on Monday.”

I thought the meeting was gonna be held on Monday. if it's today then we will most certainly know the decision by tonight, and it's obvious what it's gonna be...

... grazie e arrivederci, Kaka. sleep.gif

The treatment Ricky has received has been abysmal and I don't blame him one bit for leaving. Good luck Ricky and thanks for the memories cool.gif

No! I can't see Ricky going to MAdrid. He'll stay!
il_diavolo_mtl
i doubt it fiorentino + zizou + 12M is a hard thing to say no to, especially when your current boss treats you like a turd for a team that had ultras boo the captain who played 20 years wih the same club.

rolleyes.gif rolleyes.gif Sad but true. we all remember how hard Galliani tried to make Sheva stay. this time around the player wants to stay but he has to accept the decision of his sale (wouldn't be suprised if they came out and said it's Kaka's decision rolleyes.gif)

I'm really looking forward to Monday, because then there's the official decision.
Hopefully it will be the case, that Kaka is staying! I don't want him to leave and as far as he expressed himself, he wants to stay at Milan. Although he might not be happy that Galliani and Berlusconi want to sell him to Real(if it really is true)....

One point that probably keeps Kaka in Milan is that his family is happy there.
And IMO he won't be forced out just because of money....I mean we don't need that money so desperately do we? huh.gif As far as I know are we one of those clubs who harldy have any depts....

Forza Ricky and please stay!

EDIT: it's a scary thought but anyone thinks we're selling Kaka because Berlu's dear love Dinho cannot express himself when playing next to Kaka?

He must know very well how much Kaka added to the success of Milan and not only this season.

Rumour has it that Silvio will tell Ricky to say the move was his choice. Apparently management has promised two major signings to appease the fans.

Regardless of what Berlusconi says, we can never take it really as a fact, he tends to bend the truth, lie, contradict himself, act shady. And then he mixes it up sometimes by throwing an unusual truth in here and there to catch us off guard. laugh.gif tongue.gif

Yeah I think so. I would be so happy if he doesn't move, but I think its already done. Unless Kaka himself is hellbent on staying at Milan and rejects to even have talks with anyone over it, he'll leave.

he has said it every time there were talks about a transfer, that he wants to stay in milan. and so it is this time... perhabs i'm too optimistic about it but the last thing kaka said was, that he wants to stay at milan and that he won't talk about his future yet.
i hope that we will see the finial dicision tomorrow night, because i really want to know what kaka says now.
i really hope that he'll stay!

Kaka's Likely to leave and i hold the berlusconi family and silvio himself 110 percent responsible

Wish he would just sell the club _ richest man in italy hes the prime minister and doesnt spend anything _ i hate him

please just sell ac milan to some arabic guy who will splash the cash were in financial trouble so we need

sheik sulehmaan the 3rd or something
I_Rossoneri
Ricky feels betrayed by mangement after they have twice put him on auction without him asking to leave, therefore I feel that he is definitely gone. The only way he could possibly stay is if he keeps these high demands on real, which is the sticking point at the moment hence the delay.

Silvio is Italy's 3rd richest man, Michelle Ferrero is Italy's richest man and also a Milan fan, he also wants to buy Milan.
Silvio is still a Milan fan, unfortunately his family are not and they are the ones pulling the strings.

Its alot more difficult than that. Right now its not even about whether or not he likes madrid or not. Its about Milan becoming competitive again. Its about milan rebuilding again.

Silvio is forcing him out the club in order to revive the club or try to revive to club. Someone must be sacrificed because right now we have 60 million euros of debt. Now Silvio will spend another 70 million or approx around that amount. If he doesn't sell Kaka, we will be in 130 million euro debt. That is dangerous for an italian club because our revenue is so poor compared to other clubs that debt is not something we can afford to have like liverpool or manchester.

Furthermore, he spent 8 million on kaka and will see a huge return on his investment. He spent 21 million on Ronaldinho and right now he can't even sell him for half of that. That is why he is keen on keeping Ronaldinho and having him improve next season and selling him after that as he slowly rebuilds our squad with younger players.
Bluesummers
So we are being linked with all these superstar players, but I doubt any of them will arrive. At most we might sign Adebayor but that is because he is 25.

Right now we will buy young players. We'll buy young brazillians/urguayans/italians/french etc. So those who are hoping for fabregas and co. I doubt they will arrive.

We don't have that big of a debt but look at how many players we signed last season:

Viudez
Cardaccio
Ronaldinho
Zambrotta
Abbiati
Antonini
Thiago Silva
Flamini
Beckham
Borriello
Shevchenko
Senderos

Ronaldinho and zambrotta cost us 30 million together. Abbiati 3 million. Thiago silva 6 million. Borriello 9 million. Antonini 2 million. Viudez/cardaccio 5 millino.

That right there alone is 55 million. Plus sheva earned a wage of 75k and didn't do anything. Beckham earned a huge wage, flamini earned a huge wage. Wages we usually pay when we are in champions league and with the revenue we recieve from it, we could afford to pay these wages but we were in uefa cup and it really hurt us so silvio paid out of his own pocket.

Our income was 1/3 of what it was when we were in champions league. We didn't sell any of our best players so in order for us to afford all this and keep our debt reasonable would be to sign Ronaldinho, beckham and hold a big number of freindlies and use silvio's cheque book.

So you see, last year silvio did alot for the club when it counted and right now he is selling our most valued player for the betterment of the club. If pirlo was worth 65 million, he would have sold him instead.

He does care for the club, however personally I just wish he would sell it to someone who could afford to splash money every season.
