Second year in a row we spend 50% of our non EU spots on a long shot kid.

Alright, somebody's gotta explain to me what all these #messages are all about. Do they have something to do with Twitter?

Christian trained with the first team for the first time.

Fillipo Simone
So how good is he?
kurtsimonw
He'll probably have to play against Juve if our injuries keep up.

They don't talk much about him and rightfully so I feel. Let him develop at his own pace. Maybe he won't even be that great a footballer. That's okay.
han2503
Btw, Filippo's Primavera side is doing some great things, they won the game against Ajax on Wednesday in the Junior version of the CL, they also won the opener against Celtic
Fillipo Simone
Good to hear.

Future Prospects...

I wonder for how much we'll sell him...

Milan under Pippo Inzaghi lost to Barca 6-2 today.

I wouldn't draw any comparisons with tonight's match, just comparing our youth team to Barca. Noting Barca have been playing a 4-3-3 since Cruyff. Milan on the other hand are only a couple of years into providing a base. On a side note; Barca had went through dry spells despite their tiki taka 4-3-3. Food for thought, while contemplating what's going on.
Fillipo Simone
How are we playing under Inzaghi in terms of formation?
han2503
Barca's youth team probably has players which are ready to be playing in a full senior side, maybe not Barca's but still.

We still beat Celtic and Ajax from that group which are both more of a food representation of what "normal" youth teams are like in terms of quality

Yeah, food indeed...
acid911
Okay, the first time I read it, I was like yeah, food indeed. laugh.gif laugh.gif It was only after you mentioned it Max, that it occurred to me! Maybe Han wanted to write "Food Pyramid" representation or something like that nutrition charts, you know that the FDA puts out.

One never can trust this Han character when it comes to language and grammer, he's a seriel killer in this regard.

Pippo's Primavera won the Viareggio Cup today, beating Anderlecht 3-1 in the final, and becoming the club with most titles (9) after Fiorentina and Juventus (both 8) in the tournament.

Pippo's gonna be a good pick for us in the future.

Highlights

Holy sh*t Petagna's goal!!! ohmy.gif
William405
Wow..So glad we got him back.
Linkman
I'm glad we didn't throw Pippo to the lions with the first team. He's developing well!
KillerMax
Petagna goal was great and he was involved heavily with the other goals too. Can see why he gets called up to the senior team. But he does remind me a bit of Ronaldo when he was fat... tongue.gif

A side note, we beat them 3-1 when we were done to 9 men against 11. We had two players sent off for yellow card accumulation.

Balls of steel is what Pippo is fitting onto these boys.

We scored our second goal when we were down to ten men. Then the guy who scored took off his jersey and got a second yellow, leaving us with two men down.
Jack Sparrow
Yup. Then we said "F@ck you B!tches, this is how we roll!", played Anderlecht on hard mode, and scored a third.

Yeah!

If Pippo had been Mourinho he would have held his wrists cuffed. rolleyes.gif

So, Mastour has been aggregated to the first team and will train with the grown ups this week, and he could also debut against Sassuolo on Sunday.

Just to remind everyone, the kid is only 15! He makes 16 next month. This is crazy. Are we going to ruin this kid like we did with Pato and like we're doing with El Shaarawy? Have some patience for god's sake...
Jack Sparrow
My thoughts exactly. This is sheer desperate attempts to gain favour with fans and media. I'm really worried about this decision.

Even with skills, there is no way a 16 year old is ready to be first team. sad.gif
kurtsimonw
Trying to get him in the shop window before the summer.
Jack Sparrow
kurt, is there anything in this beautiful blue planet you are not cynical about my son? biggrin.gif

Yep, I think throwing a 15 year old kid against men who will be looking to get their points across should he try to make idiots out of them with some skill move out of Fifa is just asking for it.

Regarding SES though, I think he looked very fresh against Ata on Sunday. They've actually given him the proper time needed to fully recover, something they never allowed Pato, which is what ultimately ruined him

biggrin.gif biggrin.gif That was exactly what I was thinking. They're probably hoping he'll explode onto the scene so they can have another big pay day
X-Offender
No, what ruined Pato were the hormones they kept injecting him. That, and the boy's poor mentality and will.

True. sad.gif And well, he kept the mentality and will going for the at least his penultimate season here. After that he was just scared to really let lose a burst of speed. Still, what 50 odd goals, in his time here? If he had everything going, he'd be sitting at close to a 100 now. Ruined, he was, though.

I don't think he had a poor mentality or will to start with, but going through what he did those assets can easily be pummelled to the ground.

We'll have to see how El Shaa fairs next season before we can make any judgements on what sort of repercussions playing for this team has had on his body

Can a mod please merge this with Primavera / Young players thread? Thank you!
