How's Berretta doing (or how did he do)?
dst
Oct 29 2009, 06:01 PM
Beretta is a pure box forward it seems so we can't expect fancy things from him. He did alright though, he's very strong and his technique is fine.
The game ended 2-1 for Italy.

Berretta has scored for the Azzurrini in their game against the US. It's 1-0 in the 50th.
The Primavera go through to the quarterfinals of the primavera coppa on aggregate over the baby donkeys of Chievo. They'll play the Cittadella primavera.
EDIT: the Azzurrini won 2-1 and advance. Rar.

The Primavera won their game today, 3-1 with goals by Schenetti, Verdi, and Gaeta. They remain in first place in their group. From what I can tell Zigoni didn't play but I believe he's been called up for the U19s, so we don't need to threaten him.
(from acmilan.com)
What? He did not score and he did not play? So you're basically saying he did nothing! Cut off one of his fingers NOW!

highlightsfor those of you wondering who Stroppa is, he is one of the main TD's of the youth section. Now that Galli is more involved with First team stuff he covers alot of the youth stuff.

Thanks for the clip!
I still don't think Galli is at all involved in first team stuff.

I think he's overall in charge of all the youth squads.
Stroppa is also a former Milan player who was on the Sacchi-era squad, left, and came back to play a year (I think?) for the Capello-era squad. He played for a lot of different clubs. Seems to be doing a rather good job with the primavera.

Football manager has him listed as director of Scouting

Yeah stroppa is a very good coach, he has already done wonders.
Mauro Pederzoli and him are mainly responsible for the youth upbringing that is happening quite a bit. I know they are the ones that asked for Baretta and Zigoni to be transfered here as well as that argentinian kid signed last week.
Mauro Pederzoli is one of our scouts.

Fishdoll is afraid to report this one because dst might take away another finger.
The Primavera won at the weekend, 2-0 over (i can't remember who, it's on the club website). But Zigoni didn't score.
Also of note, Darmian is FINALLY over his broken foot and played about an hour over the weekend for Padova, who lost the game (3 other guys on the squad got sent off, no cookies for them) but who are comfortably in midtable in Serie B. (info from Padova's website)

Albertazzi, best I can tell, is doing quite well for the primavera. The team's currently in second place, just behind Atalanta.
Darmian's finally recovered from the broken foot and is getting regular playing time for Padova (he played the full 90 of their game earlier this week).

Probably because the primavera were in a coppa knockout game, han. I dunno why.
Anyway, I've decided I like De Vito. Here's what he said at the end of the game (my translation from acmilan.com):
QUOTE
"Going onto the pitch for the first time in a rossoneri jersey at the SaN Siro was a great emotion. For me, it's my 8th year at milan and the 2nd with the Primavera. I'd like to thank all the coaches who've helped me along the way and who've allowed me to make this big step in my career. I remember when I came to the stadium as a ballboy and cheered the squad. Today's game was a really spectacular sensation. At the end of the game, Novara players asked for my jersey but I wanted to keep it because it's a special memory.
The coach told me on Monday that I might be called up but I only found out I'd be playing today and my heart was beating a million miles a minute. Milan is really a family and has given me great emotions. From today's game, I also will remember the affection of the fans who didn't know me and who at the end of the game cheered me, as well as the great support of my teammates and the coach. During the game, everyone was close to me, giving me great advice. The coach even made suggestions from the touchline.
I'm also happy because the Primavera won their Coppa game. We've worked really hard to reach this objective. Coach Stroppa's team is strong and even if there are some absences of players called up to the senior side, it's a quality team.

I can count 5 times were he had the ball near our area and insted of quickly releasing it tried to go past players and ended up losing the ball.
