Verdi was MoM.
mishie
Darmain also played for Torino and Beretta played for Ascoli

Good to see that our kids are doing well in Serie B. I think loaning them over there is better then to come Serie A team that doesn't play them, the Serie B isn't a walk in the park so they'll get good experience there
mishie
I love Serie B it's a really hard league and gives good grounding to the youngsters. and as you say Han they play rather than warm benches
il_diavolo_mtl
i'm sorry but Verdi, Strasser, El Sharaawy, Calvano, Pischitelli all excite me. I hope we see lots from them this year.

Time my friend, time. Just because hes in Serie C, doesn't mean hes bad. Could mean he's physically too small or hasn't quite developed yet. Or! Maybe they just want him in a slower pace league where he has time to actually use his creativity instead of just playing 1 touch.

mishie
i wasn't being sarcastic it was a geniune comment..he is a real prospect for sure!

Zigoni is loaned to Avellino.

HERE ARE AC MILAN’S TOP YOUTH PROSPECTS
Posted on Friday, 27th January 2012 by Omar Almasri
This is one of the most difficult articles that I’ve ever written. AC Milan is a great side with many fine prospects and talent.
Difficulty was in judging the talent and deciding on which eight to write on. I’ve been following Milan for years, but I admit that I don’t know much about the youth system, and this info is based on what I’ve seen and heard from Milan and Italian football bloggers and experts.
Without further ado, here’s my list of eight AC Milan youngsters who I believe will become stars in the future. Maximum age for a player to get included in this list is 20, which means that Rodney Strasser and Dominic Adiyiah miss out.
I hope it’s a good read and please provide feedback at the end of this article.
Now let’s begin.

Stephan El Shaarawy – Date of Birth: October 27, 1992 (Age: 19)
This player you probably heard of and seen. Stephan El-Shaarawy, son of an Egyptian dad and Italian mother, was bought this summer from Genoa after impressing on loan at Padova. El-Shaarawy is considered one of the country’s brightest talents and rising stars. He is known for his excellent ball control, pace, movement, vision and creativity.
He is a delight to watch and has already made his mark with the club, scoring an equalizer against Udinese at the San Siro. El Shaarawy is a player on the rise and is definitely a player to keep a close eye on this season.

Davide Di Fabio – Date of Birth: June 16, 1992 (Age: 19)
A talented goalkeeper who was born in L’Aquila, Italy. Davide Di Fabio is not a player many people know or have heard of, except if you’re a die-hard Milanista.
Di Fabio is considered a bright goalkeeping talent and prospect, who has good reflexes, command of his area and shot-stopping ability.
A player to look out for in the Primavera and worth watching and keeping an eye out for.

Ricardo Ferreira - Date of Birth: May 3, 1992 (Age: 19)
A talented, young Portuguese central defender who signed from Porto this summer. Ricardo Ferreira was born in Mississauga, Canada and holds both Portuguese and Canadian nationalities.
Ferreira, from what I’ve seen of him, is a composed defender, who is comfortable with the ball in his feet, is a strong tackler, has decent positioning and is excellent in the air.
He definitely looks like a very good defensive prospect and worth having a look at.

Simone Calvano – Date of Birth: July 11, 1993 (Age: 18)
Simone Calvano is a talented midfielder who has already been compared to established players like Daniele De Rossi and Andrea Pirlo. He started out in Atalanta and eventually made his move to AC Milan.
He is a very good box-to-box midfielder, can play as good in the defensive midfield role as he does attack wise. He has good vision, touch, ball control, can shoot very well from distance and a very good passer.
Calvano is a player I believe has a bright future ahead of him.

Mattia Valoti – Date of Birth: September 6, 1993 (Age: 18)
Mattia Valoti is an attacking midfielder born in Vicenza, Italy, who arrived from Albinoleffe and is now a first team player for the Rossoneri. Valoti is a player who is technically and tactically disciplined, has very good ball control, touch and vision.
A bright prospect who we hopefully get to see in a good number of first-team matches this season.

Gianmario Comi- Date of Birth: May 3, 1992 (Age: 19)
Gianmario Comi is a forward who arrived this summer on a co-ownership deal from Torino, with another bright talent, Simone Verdi, going the other way.
Comi, who considers AC Milan legend Filippo Inzaghi as his idol, is a talented striker, who’s lethal in the penalty area (scored 18 goals in 21 matches with Torino‘s Primavera side), has good movement, very good in the air and has good balance and strength.
Comi is a player that I believe can be an excellent forward and player for the Rossoneri. If he keeps up with his performances, then he’ll be in the first team sooner rather than later.

Simone Ganz – Date of Birth: September 21, 1993 (Age: 18)
Son of former AC Milan and Inter player, Maurizio Ganz. Simone was born in Genoa and has been included in the first-team squad this season.
Ganz is a talented forward, who scored eight goals in 20 appearances with the Primavera side last season.
Ganz is a player who has a good eye for goal, movement, control and also possesses a strong right foot.
A player to look out for this season.

Adria Carmona – Date of Birth: February 8, 1992 (Age: 19)
A talented winger who arrived from Barcelona last summer. Adria Carmona is a player highly rated by many and is destined for stardom with the Rossoneri. Tall, quick, agile, excellent on one-on-one situations and has a great eye for goal. He has scored three goals in four matches in the Spanish U-17 side.
His progress has stalled somewhat at Barca, where he suffered some niggling injuries but is still a gifted player and worth looking out for in the Primavera this season.
The players listed are not the only ones who have huge potential for stardom, here is a list of more AC Milan youth talents:
Edmund Hottor - Born on May 6, 1993 (Age: 18)
A tough, powerful Ghanaian holding midfielder who arrived from Triestina. Edmund is a talented player similar to Micheal Essien and who is regarded as a bright prospect for the Rossoneri.
Mattia De Scigli - Born on September 6, 1993 (Age: 18)
Talented and versatile full back, who impressed with the Primavera team last season. De Sciglio is now a first-team player with the club.
Marco Fossati – Born on October 5, 1992 (Age: 18)
A gifted midfielder who was reportedly interesting Barcelona. Marco Fossati signed from Inter and is a player that possesses wonderful technique and control, good passer and a fine striker from distance. Definitely a player to look out for.
Giacomo Beretta – Born on March 14, 1992 (Age: 19)
A player who is co-owned by both AC Milan and Genoa. Beretta is a striker who starred for the U-17 side, scoring 10 goals in 15 appearances and is on loan with Ascoli. He is dangerous inside the penalty area, has body strength, good control of the ball and a good finisher.
Simone Verdi – Born on July 17, 1992 (Age: 19)
A player nicknamed “Verdinho“, due to the similarities in his style of play with Brazilian star, Ronaldinho. A gifted player, who possesses great ball control, technique, has a good eye for goal and an excellent dribbler who has left to Torino on a co-ownership deal. He can play as a striker and a winger, and Milan fans are hoping that he makes a return to the Rossoneri.
Kingsley Boateng – Born on April 7, 1994 (Age: 17)
Another Ghanaian talent who is widely expected to have a bright future. Boateng is known for his winning goal in the Italy Youth Cup Final last season against Empoli. He’s a gifted striker blessed with pace, ball control, excellent movement and a great eye for goal. Tipped to be a huge star for the Rossoneri and is expected to be given first team chances sooner rather than later.
Another player is of course Alexander Merkel (Born on February 22, 1992), who moved to Genoa on a co-ownership deal which was part of the transfer that took El-Shaarawy to the San Siro, but has now returned to the Rossoneri. Merkel is a talented midfielder, who just needs some playing time and experience to fulfill his huge potential.
AC Milan have been for a while criticized for their ageing squad, but with these potential superstars, the club has a brighter future ahead of them.

Even though i'm convinced he will never return and will spend the next 20 years of his life being loaned out to mid-level Championnat sides, Pierre-Emerick Aubemayang scored against Morocco in what was truly a well fought match.

Allegri on De Sciglio
QUOTE
Milan beat Atalanta at the San Siro and get to a single point’s distance from Juventus with 180 minutes left to play. Allegri: “Juve’s destiny is in their hands but we just have to do our best to keep the race open.”

They were 10 important minutes for the league. We couldn’t draw this game and it’s great now to go into the derby against a team that’s playing for the Champions League. The team is doing well physically and mentally speaking you have to suffer a bit because we’re behind. I think Juventus are playing an extraordinary season; they’ve won 8 games in a row and tonight they drew. Unfortunately, we lost against Fiorentina and Juve’s lead comes from that. No one likes to lose, we‘ll be thinking of winning our games and then we’ll see. There’s always been a good level of tension in the league and on the league table. After Lecce equalized, we got very psyched up and we got the second goal. This evening, I gave a rest to some players to keep the levels of tension high De Sciglio has shown that he’s a Milan player. He’s young and he has to qualities to become a good player. We’ll evaluate Thiago in the next few days without taking anything away from Nesta and Mexes who played a great game.”

"There’s absolutely nothing to regret but we need to prepare ourselves for the derby because Inter are fighting to get into the Champions League and it’ll be a very tough match. Juventus have their destiny in their hands and we just have to do our best to keep the race open and hope for another slip up but that’s tough to see. The team played a good game and we started well in the first half. Then we stretched ourselves a bit and they cause us some problems. We’ll see now what happens on Sunday. This is why football is beautiful; anything can happen in a game. I didn’t play Abate because he was a booking away from a ban, just back from an injury and has played a lot of games. De Sciglio played a good game from the start. We have the derby ahead of us and they play against Cagliari: it’ll be a very emotional evening from the start".

"The atmosphere in the changing room? Perhaps no one thought that Juventus would have dropped two points and we’ll have to realize that tomorrow. This is the proof that the most impossible things to achieve are always the most beautiful and you always have to believe. The authorities will decide on that given that it’s title deciding match. I coach Milan, I don’t know that Juventus will be feeling but they’ve already shown great strength. We just have to give our all to make sure the title is decided on the last day of the season. Thinking about Inter now would be crazy. We have to think of ourselves. We have to play a tough game both mentally and technically because we haven’t the same strength in our legs as a month ago."

I think in the next two seasons we'll see De Sciglio, Strasser and El Sharaawy play important roles for Milan. Since we're starting this new project of young talented players recently, who do guys have in mind (young players) that Milan might acquire, promote (primavera) or bring back (from loan) in the next few seasons that'll play some role in the team?

For me I think we might see;
Cristante
Albertazzi
Paloschi
Ely
Fillipo Simone
Not sure about any of the named players except El Shaa.

Paloschi is barely good enough to be 5th. Strasser has been on and off for most of the time and I'm still undecided weather he'll do the trick. De Sciglio needs more time for a better assessment. Albertazzi, Ely and Cristante...expect about 2-3 matches with a few minutes playing time for them.

Primavera beat 3-2 Verona today, after going under 0-2 first. Apparently both of Verona's goals resulted from two mistakes from Mexes.

What's with this guy? He looked fit in the Euros, but in merely a month he gained weight and went out of shape? Unbelievable. As much I like him, stuff like this is unforgivable.

Who knows, maybe he's just not match fit right now, it's easy to get rusty when you're out injured. Mexes was flawless in the Euros so I refuse to believe that he won't get back into shape
