2 Primavera players, Michelangelo Albertazzi and Filippo Perucchini, have been called up to the U17s for the upcoming Group Phase games in the Euro U17 championships.

Albertazzi is a highly-rated (left) back and Perucchini is a keeper.

Bad incident this past weekend for the Primavera.

Andrea Cosner - the original first-choice striker for the Primavera this year - was playing his first game after 7 months off due to a torn ACL. Partway through the game, he injured the same knee again and had to be stretchered off.

****! That's sad!

Oh, dear. Not the knee! It takes so much out a player, particularly a football player, trying to recover from a knee injury.

Davide Di Gennaro is part of the Azzurini U20 team that's currently partiicpating in the Four Nations tournament (with Germany, Switzerland, and Austria).

FOUR primavera players have been called up to the U19 Azzurrini squad that will participate in the second qualifying round of the U19 European Championships.

The players are defenders Albertazzi, Bruscagin Darmian, and striker Paloschi.

Congrats to them!

Here are the call ups for the U19 qualification games to be played against Sweden, France, and Switzerland the 26th, 28th, and 31st of May:

Portieri: Fiorillo (Sampdoria), Pinsoglio (Juventus);
Difensori: Albertazzi (Milan), Bruscagin (Milan), Darmian (Milan), Formiconi (Udinese), Gentili (Atalanta), Tagliani (Fiorentina);
Centrocampisti: Forestieri (Siena), Mazzarani (Cisco Roma), Palumbo (Napoli), Poli (Sampdoria), Raggio (Genoa), Romizi (Fiorentina), Viola (Reggina);
Attaccanti: Carbonaro (Palermo), Okaka (Modena), Paloschi (Milan).

The little Azzurini (U19s) won their game v. Sweden yesterday, 2-0. The first Italy goal was scored by Alberto Paloschi.

Paloschi, Darmian, and Bruscagin all played the full 90 minutes.

Looking good for our U19 stars

Radio Morte had interviewed Luca Antonini ... A player co-owned by Milan and Empoli, and he showed his desire to play for Napoli above all other teams: "If I was to choose, I would choose Napoli. But my contract is with Milan and Empoli, and they will meet up to decide my future, since there are several clubs who I am receiving attention from, but if I was to choose I would put Napoli on top of the pile."

There's a whole bunch of kids from Napoli who're coming out to be pretty good players. Antonini too, eh?

The little Azzurini won their second game v. Switzerland, also by a score of 2-0. Paloschi scored the first goal.

Can't find a full lineup or match report yet so I don't know who else played.

Italy's U-19 has qualified for the final stages (last eight teams) of European championship. They were winners in 2003 and this is their first appearance in the finals in four years. In the last qualifying round (Elite round) they beat Sweden, Switzerland and France - all with 2-0. Paloschi scored against Sweden and Switzerland.
Also 3 other players from our youth system have taken part in this games. Darmian and Bruscagin (both defenders, class 89) have played all 3 games, while our youngest player (is said to be one of the most talented defenders - Albertazzi - who is also Italy's U-17 captain, class 91 and is already playing for our primavera although he is 2 years younger) has played the whole game against Switzerland and the second half against France. With Milan young defenders Italy didn't concede a single goal smile.gif!

For the moment it looks like we have a bright future ahead of us - at least for our defence.

Thank heavens for that. We need centre backs. Nesta is going to leave in another 3 or 4 years.

There's not usually a whole lot of news on the 12 year olds, but their record (see first page of this thread for link to the primavera pages on acmilan.com) seems to be pretty good. I count 11 goals as having been conceded all year.

I guess we wont hear much from him if/when he gets to the Berretti or Primavera squad

Wow! Enzo has definitely the elegance of his father, but I don't think he's that impressive, Bojan when he was a kid was 100 times better and there's that Turkish kid on U tube who does wonders ... speechless!

Milan have loaned midfielder Alex Guerci to Serie C side Pergocrema.

This guy is highly rated I think. I hope he develops to be a great player.

Livorno have loaned two of our Primavera boys. One is Perticone, the other i cant remember. Perticone is a defender is memory serves correct.

Albertazzi is still co-owned correct? One years experience in Serie A with Bologna should toughen him up

Milan owns all of Albertazzi, I believe. (we had half and then bought the other half in January when he came to the primavera)

Pierre Aubemeyang is being loaned to French 2nd division side Digione.

Offredi was the Primavera keeper, yes. He's decent enough. It's the Allievi Nazionale (class of 91) goalkeeper who's supposed to be a real talent. His name is Perrucchini. He should be the Berretti or Primavera keeper next year.
