Too hot to handle

I can't blame the players for finding it hard to concentrate, I've had that happen to me with a lot less hot women but it's unfair to ask her to leave.

So FIFA's conclusion that they've put out in regards to corruption is that Russia and Qatar bids were perfectly fine. It's the England bid that was corrupt. This is despite the lead investigator saying that is not the conclusion he came to. He also stated that many FIFA officials refused to comply with what he asked in regards to the Qatar and Russia bids.

Basically, accuse FIFA of corruption and they'll just call you corrupt. We need to pull out, we'll be no worse off.

tbh football is rife with corruption at every level. It's not exactly accurate to say the Qatar bid wasn't corrupt, but equally innaccurate to say England's was squeaky clean. Or anyone else's.

But yes, FIFA are despicable. Unfortunately no one can 'pull out'. It would be the end of football in their country.
kurtsimonw
I don't for one second think any bid is clean. There's always going to be one individual looking at stuff. But it'll probably be a bad move for FIFA in the long run. Apparently lots of places demanding to see the full report, which is far from a glowing reputation and lots of cover-ups. biggrin.gif

I'd definitely put out. The Yanks won't be far behind. 2 of the biggest markets FIFA have, which is nice.

Would empty my bank account to see the absolute downfall of these corrupt fudgers. sleep.gif Football these days, is like watching scripted episodes of wrestling (WWE SmackDown even, which a recorded show as opposed to RAW). Tough call, I know, but I just hope I see the end of this organization in my lifetime.

They've very much killed off the game with their greed.
Danny
Cracking point about FIFA on Press Preview tonight:

They're not accountable to ANYONE so they're as undemocratic an organisation as you'll find.

They even ignore investigations into their own conduct if anything 'dodgy' is found.

So, today UEFA will vote if they will accept Kosova as a new member of not. Rumors are that they will accept us and Im quite exited, knowing that we have some great talents playing in Europe and it is a big possibility that they will get back to play for Kosova. So, we would have names like Samir Ujkani, Valon Behrami, Granit Xhaka, Xherdan Shaqiri, Adnan Januzaj on the team.
Fillipo Simone
You really think they'd come back? I mean Switzerland has been a stable NT with constant WC and Euro appearances. It would be a strange precedent.

But anyway, congrats! Should have been sooner as well smile.gif

As for Januzaj it is almost a sure thing that he will come back. As for Shaqiri he is in doubt as there were quite much reports saying that he will come back to play for Kosova and in the same time that he wont. I think that it all depends on whether we can build a competitive team. Same goes for Xhaka.

Either way, Kosovans have quite much talents in Europe and even if none of them came back, we still would make a decent NT. But to be honest, we need a leader and Januzaj with Shaqiri and Xhaka would be great to have.

Thank you, I cant wait to see us play in qualifiers.

Thank you. Yes of course, the football clubs in Kosova are almost 100 years old. As for the Leauge, officially it started from 1945.

Btw, the club from my city last year won the championship biggrin.gif

Gianni Infantino says that Kosova will be a part of FIFA also when the congress of FIFA will be held in Mexico

http://www.telegrafi.com/presidenti-fifa-s...osoves-ne-uefa/

This means that we can play in World Cup qualifiers for Rusia 2018.

In 1945? Part of the Yugoslav league we had back then or?

Yes. Kosovar Football Federation was a branch of Juguslavian Football Federation. But apart from the Jugoslav leauge, we had another leauge inside Kosova with was the Leauge of Kosova.

The history is written in here, but it is in Albanian: http://www.ffk-kosova.com/federata/?page_id=4516
Fillipo Simone
Huh, interesting. Wasn't really aware this was allowed to happen back then.
d'Arc.LP
So, today FIFA votes for Kosovas candidature to be accepted as a full member. Im very exited cos if FIFA accepts Kosova, then we will be able to play for World Cup 2018 Qualifiers.

It is OFFICIAL: Kosova is a member of FIFA. yahoo.gif yahoo.gif yahoo.gif

Good luck beating the mighty nation of San Marino. Maybe then the titans Malta will agree to a matchup with you. tongue.gif

Only joking, I think you mentioned you have a good team.
kurtsimonw
Be interesting to see how they do.
d'Arc.LP
Thanks. Now Italy is my second NT to cheer for. The infrastructure in my country is in a bad state but we have quite much talents and I am happy for them. Till now they had to change their nationality to Albanian or other in order to play (as is the case with Armend Dallku and pretty much most of the Albania NT players from Kosova) and some of them even quited football at their best years cos they had no future (even my best friend who was playing for Kosovas U21 NT quited).

Here is a cute talent from Kosova https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1cmC_S8BRv4

Messi a 21 suspended sentence for tax fraud. One rule for the rich, another for the rest of us. Criminals should be in prison.
Jack Sparrow
As I understand, in Spain if you have no prior offences - a sentence under 2 years means you don't have prison time. You will be in probation instead.

@kurt - I sort of see your point. But does tax evasion (at a personal level, not corporate fraud) have stricter sentences. In the end, I think it comes to the rich being able to afford better lawyers.

I'll try and find the link, but those that've committed tax fraud at that level tend to get more than 2 years. Obviously they gave a 21 month sentence so he avoided prison time.

But of course. No one was going to put Messi in prison, come on.
Fillipo Simone
But it would be fun, yes?

Not for Messi. tongue.gif

Celtic just lost to Lincoln Red Imps from Gibraltar in CL qualifying

Jack Sparrow
laugh.gif I used to like Celtics. Then we became friends. Now I laugh at them.
X-Offender
That is absolutely insane.
kurtsimonw
The Lincoln Red Imps make up a decent amount of the Gibraltar team. Scotland scored 15 goals against Gibraltar over 2 games in Euro 2016 qualifying.

Arguably one of the biggest competitive upsets in the sports history. It is THAT bad.

Since there is no topic regarding World Cup Qualifiers, Im writting here: KOSOVA got a point on an away game to Finland. Our first.

Congrats, bro! I watched a few minutes towards the end, you guys looked impressive considering this was your first official game.

Albania 2-1 Macedonia

Last 15 minutes were played today due to bad weather last night. We scored in the 89'. thumbup.gif

Obviously in the end it's all pointless considering we're in the same group with Spain and Italy.

Thanks bro, I really enjoyed the game, that performance makes me hope for a bright future.

Albania was very good too. Despite the fact that the game was paused till today, I knew we would win.

I wouldnt loose my hopes, maybe De Biasis team can become a headache for Italy afterall. Lets see how it goes. The important thing is getting maximum points against weaker opponents.
d'Arc.LP
BTW, Milot Rashica is from the same city I am, he was my neighboor when he played for our citys club two years ago biggrin.gif The guy has potential.
