True, even though Warner was one of the worst, even at FIFA, someone else will take his place soon.
And the ethics committee is the biggest joke of an anti-corruption body in the history of all organization ever! But I guess the "FIFA family" doesn't care much...

Just curious: Does anyone even know that the FIFA Women WC cup started on Sunday? It's quite a big thing here in Germany (we're the hosts and the super-top favorites). TV-ratings are almost as those of the men. Quite interesting this hype.

I heard there's an Albanian player in the German team, Fatmire Bajramaj.
LaPalma
Yap. And she's quite a beautyful girl. Still surpirsed by the TV ratings. 15 million people watched the opening match. Never thought people would be that interested in women playing football.

Yup, she's very good player.

btw I'm watching most of the games of this tournament. USA and Germany are looking quite good teams. Canada had one hell of a striker with long black hair. Her name is Jonelle FILIGNO.

Yes. I think I'm gonna marry her. Thank you d'Arc...you saved me a lot of trouble searching for my soulmate.

You should marry Kim Kulig. She's hotter and the better player!

I don't think it's that bad. Is it funny that Sunderland haven't won one in that time either? No, yet they've spent more than Arsenal. What Wenger has done is amazing, not to be laughed at, in my opinion.

Yes, I believe so, BBC were reporting that over here, probably one section of our media that we can trust at the moment.

$ $ $... nice idea, FC Lausanne will be using two jerseys (of the same color) in every game, changing at half-time. Each shirt will feature a different sponsor... biggrin.gif

@West Brom: I can do this for half what you pay Myhill...

Madrid running riot against LA Galaxy a bit, CR7 just scored a pretty average goal, I'm sure other unnamed players would have managed a backflip before they put it in the net. tongue.gif

Kaka looked decent for a player that's 'finished'.

Juan Pablo Angel's son

Not bad for a little kid. I believe he was born in Birmingham too, so has the option to play for England. biggrin.gif

So Kurt this kid's English right according to your view of place of birth. So would you consider him a traitor of some kind if he decided to play for Colombia then?

I promise not to make this another long pointless argument, I just was curious. tongue.gif

edit: just watched the video, it seems like an older guy trapped in a kid's body! unsure.gif

Yes, he's English. I would be annoyed if he was a top player and picked Colombia as his nation. I'm not completely against players playing for a different nation (even if I don't agree with it) because sometimes a player is not good enough for their home nation and would never get a cap, so they aren't really being a 'traitor' just giving themself a chance to play International football.

laugh.gif I think that's when it's totally wrong to play for another nation... it just shows he does not care. if one can play for a top international team and chooses to play for a less good one it just shows he feels he belongs there.

You misunderstood. I'm saying they're like a 2nd choice nation to him, I'm saying this if he wants to play for the worse nation, even if he wasn't born there. Even though I still don't agree with it, it makes it more acceptable to me if he isn't good enough for his home nation anyway. I don't care anymore anyways. After Thiago Motta International football has become a joke to me.

Fifa could allow matches at the 2022 World Cup in Qatar to be played over three 30-minute periods if temperatures in the stadiums became dangerously high for the players.
Michael Beavon, a director of Arup Associates who helped to develop the zero-carbon solar technology that will cool the 12 stadiums, told delegates at the Qatar Infrastructure Conference in London that the air-cooling would maintain a comfortable temperature of around 24 degrees Celsius in the stadiums.

"There is a moderate risk of heat injury to the players between 24C-29C but if you go above that you have high and extreme risk of injury. The one thing Fifa do say, although it is for guidance, is if it's 32C they will stop a match and play three 30-minute thirds rather than two 45-minute halves.

"The reason would be to re-hydrate the players before they could carry on playing. That of course would play havoc with TV schedules and those kind of things. The commitment from Qatar was to provide conditions in the moderate band, so that matches would go ahead and be played as normal. Matches have to be played at an acceptable temperature and in safety so that Fifa do not intervene."

However a Fifa spokesperson told Reuters that such a drastic change to the way the game is not something that was on the governing body's agenda. "This possibility has not been discussed," the spokesperson said. "In any case, this would require a change in the Laws of the Game, and therefore would have to be analysed and approved by the International Football Association Board (IFAB) in the first place."

Ummmm... how about give the World Cup to someone else? The fact they've admitted it could be a health risk says it all.

I think we should add another goal as well, so we accommodate for the shade and the goalkeepers don't get sunburnt. Really FIFA?! Let's just completely change the rules of the game because you want money. It really is time to disband from this organisation.
Jack Sparrow
C'mon. Like all over the world football is only played in countries with temperatures between 24 and 29 degrees.
kurtsimonw
It sounds like 24-29 isn't the issue. The worrying bit is where it says if temperatures reach 32, then they will consider changing it.

I think there needs to be some proper requirements to host a World Cup. I'm talking about earning the right. Most of the top nations do well because they invest insane amounts into the sport. Giving the World Cup to a nation who've never acheived anything is just not right. Can't qualify for a World Cup? Here's a free ticket to one!

Just about to post the same thing. He has incredible talent, but I've never seen someone with such a poor attitude. No way he's ever going to last at a club more than a few years.
Fillipo Simone
It's a blessing he isn't our transfer target. Do you guys think it would be possible to change his attitude if he'd be signed by us? My stance always was that Milan wakes the best in every player, but with him I'm very doubtful.
X-Offender
What a fool. He should break a leg or something which would impede him to play football forever. Only then he'd realize how lucky he is and how much he should value his job and get the best out of it.

I know. wink.gif But I still want it to go to Xavi most definitely. The biggest loser in recent years was Sneijder, that was as good as done deal as any (League, CL, World Cup Final and whatnot), but I guess he should consider himself lucky to have been nominated. Ask Diego Milito how he felt when he was not even shortlisted.

I personally don't care for it these days, particularly since they merged FIFA World Player and Golden Ball as one.
