I dislike Ibrahimović, always did and always will. But I see it differently. I think Ibrahimović could make it with Milan and could break his CL dry spell; but in big matches Milan's midfield-creativity problem becomes more evident, while Ibra cannot do what he does to teams like Chievo, Parma or Lecce - do it completely out of nothing and totally alone. I really think he needs the proper support to make it happen, and that's all. No curse, no blockade if you ask me.

Ah nobody. happy.gif Just pretty much the best batsman in the last 50 years. Cricket, of course. Retired now. Brian Lara is the only man alive to score 400 runs in a single innings. And I'll be damned if I've ever seen a more aesthetically pleasing left-handed batsman. Pure joy and delight to watch. An absolute artist with the bat.

Nothing to it, man. smile.gif The whole of Trinidad should be proud of the man. I mean, for those who do not understand cricket, the 400* (the star means without getting out) Lara scored was after his previous best of 375 was beaten. Hayden of Australia scored 380. But then it took Brian Lara a matter of months to rile up the 400.

You see these kinds of feats almost never in professional sports, and that's a testament to the sheer class of the man. And frankly, these are just a couple of big feats he accomplished. Lara's story is more than numbers, it's of grace and entertainment. Let's just put it this way, I consider myself lucky to have lived and seen the man play. That's that.

I don't recall claiming to be this 'Mr. Patriotic' that you so cleverly tried making me out to be with your sarcasm, but okay.

Obviously you were referencing our NT, but surely I didn't realize this; not until just now when you decided that you had to point this out for me. wink.gif

Not once have I ever claimed to be a diehard supporter of our NT anyway, but whatever.

Quite frankly, our NT and our football federation are nothing more than a complete joke in recent times, and I'll give no false support to a corrupt federation or a lacking football team simply because they are National. Let me see some deserving players called up then I'll reconsider.

And for the record I see no reason why someone should have to represent only their country of birth and may not have much attachment to (considering they grew up somewhere else) - Regarding your Zlatan remark above.

Let's simply agree to disagree as you have openly admited you will never like the guy and I am clearly an Ibra fan.

Clearly tired. The problem when the management expects someone to single-handedly win you the game every week.

Inexcusable couple of transfer windows will possibly cost us the title. Do your job, Galliani.

yea read that.. his agent is in Milan, could be a swap with tevez....
X-Offender
He's not going anywhere.
Jack Sparrow
Yup..for me too. At least until they find a proper replacement for him. The ONLY chance is for a straight swap with Balotelli.

To swap Ibra for Tevez would have to mean that Pato is completely fit and available the whole season and that is no guarantee.

Agreed, a straight swap with Ibra and Tevez would make no sense.

Galliani will have a go for Tevez this summer again, but he players that can go are either one of Pato or Robinho. Atm, Pato is probably worth as much as a Serie B striker so I don't know. His price must have drastically plumetted given the injury antics of this season

So I'm thinking Robinho could be sold. Whether that is to finance a Ganso move or a shot at Tevez is yet to be seen

Nah, PSG will probably cough €25 million and we'll take them, which we'll use to sign Tevez. Anything less is out of the question.

Can you really see them offering 25m for a player who hasn't played this season?

Maybe Carlo might still want him, but I can't see them splashing that kind of cash when they're possibly purchasing a faulty product. We'll have to see, but at this point. Robinho is most likely worth more on the market than Pato is. And if we do get Tevez Robinho imo, would become redundant to this team.

If you look at it objectively, Pato is our only pure finisher.

If PSG do offer us a big sum though, than I think we have no option but to accept it.

Milan deny Ibra-Allegri problems

Milan have gone to the trouble of releasing a statement denying there are problems between Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Massimiliano Allegri.

Reports emerged over the past few days that the striker did not see eye to eye with his Coach and even that Allegri had requested the Swede be sold.

“Milan, via an official statement, deny the reports of incompatibility between Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Coach Massimiliano Allegri because it is without any foundation and simply untrue.”

Agent Mino Raiola had also denied the claims on Monday.

Yeah. It's just too convenient for the media.

The big scudetto favourites 'crashed and burned' despite their star player's best efforts and the entire spine of the team has upped and left the team hence it MUST be the coach.

Ibrahimovic: 'No money at Milan'
By Football Italia staff

Zlatan Ibrahimovic says he will stick with Milan, although “there is no money to buy the players we need. Anything can happen.”

The Rossoneri and agent Mino Raiola had denied stories he was increasingly unhappy at San Siro after missing out on the Scudetto.

“Milan’s problem is economic,” Ibra declared in a press conference on international duty with Sweden.

“There is no money to buy five players, or even the ones we need. We made a couple of signings, maybe there will be a third.”

Riccardo Montolivo and Bakaye Traoré have both been snapped up on free transfers.

“I guess it’s true that the longer you play together, the more you improve. Just look at Chelsea, who won the Champions League although they were not the strongest team.”

However, Zlatan reacted angrily when asked if that meant rumours of him seeking a transfer were true.

“Without those, you’d have nothing to write about. I am happy at Milan and will respect my contract.

“Anything can happen, but at the moment nothing has happened. I will respect my contract.
”

Zlatan Ibrahimovic ● All 35 Goals ● 2011-2012

It's quite unbelievable we didn't win the scudetto with such a season from him.

It's because all other departments were greatly lacking.

It's mostly down to Ibra that we held so strong throughout. Losing Thiago in that Roma game for the useless Barca tie was the turning point in the season.

We barely could line-up 11 players on the pitch at some points, that Roma game was the straw that broke the very tired camel's back in the end.

If we do get in some re-inforcements this summer, Allegri needs to freshen up some of the tactics. We're too one dimensional, and most importantly the results against the top sides need to improve greatly. They must be on a par with the results we achieved under Allegri in his first season where we basically swept every top side away, both home and away

You missed an "n" there, I reckon. tongue.gif biggrin.gif But seriously, I am not sure he will. Unless we get some new players with drastically different characteristics. If not, then I believe he will continue with his tactics that landed him 1st and 2nd place finishes in two years. Then again, I also believe there is a decent chance Ibra could be sold.

I mean, not everyday you get offers like 40m for an over-30 player, and who knows, Ibra may want out.
Fillipo Simone
Yeah, it doesn't look that way. In fact, I expect no reset or step forward, but just the same and plain old tactic he's been presenting as Milan's way for all of last season.

At this point, I'm willing to look the other way a bit if he's given this squad for next season. It's not like he has many options other than Monto!

If he does get some good players, especially into that midfield and we have another disappointing season, then it's out the door for him

Exactly. smile.gif And deep down inside I am sure Allegri believes that (and he isn't wrong, in my opinion) that with some better luck and fewer injuries he'd have won the Scuedetto this year too. He had the setup going for it, which while I may not agree with in terms of how the club should be playing, but it landed him a lot of points.

The players were there to win the title, just the luck and fitness were missing. So no reason for him to change.

Correct. That he did, and then edited it out. biggrin.gif But I was thinking Frenchen up his tactics. Typos do happen, they can happen with me, and I don't normally edit them out. It's perfectly fine. but when Han makes a mistake, it's always fun to smudge it up on his face. That's an opportunity I can't miss.
