I'd like to post some fragments from his book :

QUOTE
Chapter 1: "1st time Mourinho met my wife, he said to her: Helena, you have only one mission. Feed Zlatan, let him sleep, keep him happy!”

Ch. 1: About Guardiola constantly repeating himself before the CL-match vs. Inter: "He was like a parrot and I got dodgy vibes from him."

Ch. 1: "Playing videogames was a disease to me. When I was at Inter, I would sit up until 4 or 5 a.m, sleep 2-3 hours and then go train."

Ch. 2: "After the first Scudetto with Juve, I collapsed in the bathtub. It was Trezeguet, that snake, who lured me into drinking shots."

Ch. 10: Ibra about his former agent, Carlsson: "He said that Southampton was interested in me, and I was like: "WTF! SOUTHAMPTON?!"

Ch. 10: Raiola to Ibra, at 1st meeting: "Sell your cars & watches. You have to train 3 times as much now, because your goal ratio sucks!"

Ch. 12: Capello to Ibra during one of his first training sessions at Juve: "I will beat Ajax out of you!"

Ch. 12: "Nedved was a workaholic. He would be cycling 1 hour before training. And then after training, he would run for another hour."

Ch. 12: Ibra tells about how furious Capello was after a game vs. Liverpool, where Thuram cost a goal, because he changed his man marker. "He yelled at Thuram. He kicked the massage bench forcefully and it spun towards us.Everybody was just sitting there, looking at the floor. Trezeguet, Cannavaro, Buffon, everybody. Nobody was moving a muscle, and nobody would ever think of doing something like what Thuram did again."

Ch. 13: Ibra tells about a family trip to Dubai, where his brother & mother got into a fight at 6 a.m because the brother wanted whisky.

Ch. 14: Ibra about Mutu: "This guy had partied a lot. The stories he told me! I couldn't stop laughing! It was totally crazy."

Ch. 15: Ibra tells about an argument he had in the summer of 2006 with Didier Deschamps, who was managing Juve back then. We were going to play a friendly match vs. Spezia and I had said that I wasn’t going to play any matches due to the Calciopoli case. Therefore I was sitting in my room playing Playstation. Then Deschamps came up to my room. He was furious. Deschamps: "Why are you sitting here? We have to go now." I didn’t say anything. I just stared at him. Deschamps: "Didn’t you hear what I said?". Ibra: "Did YOU not hear what I said? I will train but I won’t play any matches." Deschamps: "You better damn play! You belong to this team! You will get several fines for this!" Ibra: "Okay" Deschamps: "What okay?" Ibra: "Give me the fines then. I’m staying in this room!" hen he finally left. He was fuming, and I was just sitting there with my Playstation, while the other players went into the bus. I did get the fines. I think it was around €30.000 in total. It became total war and when you're in war you have to think tactically. I didn't have to pay the fines I got for playing Playstation. Mino Raiola did his magic and made sure they disappeared."

Ch. 17: Ibra tells about his addiction to videogames. "In November a new game came out. "Gears of War" was the name, I went totally crazy. I locked myself in. I built a playing room and I sat there hour after hour till about 4 a.m. I should sleep so that I wouldn't be totally wrecked during training, but I just continued playing videogames. "Gears of War" and "Call of Duty" were like poison to me. I needed them all the time. I needed them more and more. I couldn't stop & I started playing online with others; English, Italians, Swedes, all sorts of people. played 6-7 hours a day, and I had a gamertag. I couldn't call myself Zlatan, so of course nobody knew who was hiding behind my tag. I impressed everyone, even under a false name. I have been playing video games all my life and I'm an extremely competitive person. I'm focused & I crushed them all. But there was this one guy. He was good & he was also online during nights. His gamertag was "D" and something else. I had heard him talk because we were all wearing headsets when playing. I tried to shut up. I wanted to be anonymous. It wasn't always easy. I had adrenaline in my body and one day they started talking about their cars. D said he had a Porsche 911 Turbo. And then I couldn't take it anymore. So I started talking and people noticed. People were suspicious."You sound like Zlatan", they said. I said "No, no that's not me." Then they asked all sorts of questions, but I dodged them. "

Ch. 19: Ibra tells about him growing up idolizing Ronaldo. "I was about 17 years old. I really studied Ronaldo. His every move and his acceleration. We were many who studied Ronaldo, but nobody took it as far as I did. I didn't miss a single detail. Without Ronaldo, I think i would have become a different player. There's a video on youtube of me and Ronaldo, where I'm chewing gum & looking at him, like I can't believe that we're on the same level."

Ibrahimovic on what he found at Inter "The Brazilians sat in 1 corner, the Argentinians in another and the rest in a 3rd. It was a joke. I considered it my first big test as a leader to put an end to that situation."

Ibrahimovic on Balotelli: "I like fireworks too, but I set them off in gardens or kebab stands. I never set fire to my own house. Mario told me he was better than me, I thought he was kidding but he meant it. He's still missing a lot though." Ibrahimovic told that Roberto Mancini thinks Balotelli is among the best strikers in the world: "If he was then he'd be playing every game."

Ibrahimovic: "Mourinho won me over via sms. I had never had a manager who sent texts. So many... He showered me in attention. I need it"

Ibrahimovic "The last words Mourinho said to me [when I joined Barca] were 'And yet we will win the Champions League'. He kept his promise"

Ibra: "Galliani asked me: 'We can get Robinho, but could you play together? I said: 'He's a phenomenon, get him! We'll work out how to play"

Ibrahimovic on being moved from city to city: "If they send me to Alaska or Siberia, I'll be fine there too. I am Ibra everywhere."

Anyone know where to get his book from? Search on google only brings up pages to do with stuff from it, rather than where to get it.

Ibra has scored 12 goals in 14 appearances so far in this season: 7 goals in 9 Serie A games, 4 goals in 4 CL games and 1 goal in the Supercup. Totally awesome! king.gif
William405
You didn't even mention his assists, and that's impressive!
drucurl
iBra was exceptional yesterday. would have prefered he gave Pato the pk (you know, since he dived for it and all laugh.gif ) But that's nitpicking. His throughpass to Aquilani was sublime. I haven't quite seen something as exquisite as back in '05 when Kaka dished it to Hernan Crespo king.gif

The goal was out of this world.

10/10 from an iBra hater innocent.gif

I don't think Pato dived. Luciano pulled his shirt down.
Fillipo Simone
Still, it looked like a dive to me.

Ibra is out of this world. Absoloutly World Class.

15 goals in 17 games, even though 6 have been from penalties. He's having a superb season so far, even better than last season.
Fillipo Simone
Last season he was better IMO. Those penalties boost his overall score, but last year he scored more then just a few magical goals. Still waiting for it this season.
drucurl
Pato gets fouled he gets a penalty, Boateng dives and he gets one too...ridiculous!!!
kurtsimonw
We've had a crazy amount of penalties already and it's not even half way through the season.

I agree, but last season he burnt out before we hit the half way mark. I think it's better that he's not hitting full stride just yet. Save his top form for the crucial portion of the season

It's strange, since we usually don't get this much penalties, I think last season we had 6 throughout the entire season not in the first 15 or so games. I think most of them were justified, except for the blatant one last week and the soft one yesterday. That being said, last week we got a non-existant penalty, then had a clear cut penalty not called, Bologna as well

Ibra: Milan ready for derby

Zlatan Ibrahimovic spoke of the anticipation that he feels ahead of the weekend’s Derby della Madonnina and the respect he feels for his teammates.

The 30-year-old began a lengthy interview with Milan Channel by revealing what it feels like heading into the Milan derby from a player’s perspective. The Rossoneri’s current top-scorer has already experienced the occasion playing for both teams.

“When we approach the derby there is always so much tension, all the newspapers talk about it, prestige is at stake for both clubs. It’s a great game and even more a challenge. The whole world watches and it is great to be able to play. It is also important for the Scudetto.

“The players are thinking about the game of course. What happens outside and with transfers is a thing for the directors, we read the newspapers and know everything, but we think only of Sunday’s game.

“We need to focus only on our game and not think about what Juventus are doing either. We are all prepared and waiting for the derby.”

The tall Swede offered his views on three teammates who have endured different fortunes during this season.

“When I see Thiago Silva I see me, but as a defender. There is no defender in the world more complete than him.

“Although I have had strong defenders as teammates, such as [Lilian] Thuram, [Gerard] Pique, [Fabio] Cannavaro and [Carles] Puyol, I think that Thiago is on another level.

“Abate has grown so much in my opinion. When I arrived I didn’t know him. Now I know if he is not on the field. He is a great person and has become an important player for the team.

“He has to be given the chance to play for the national team. For a player this is the best thing that can happen, it is a great honour to play for your country. If he continues then he will become a starter for the Azzurri.

“Robinho has missed a few goals, but I have gone wrong, even [Alexandre] Pato and [Filippo] Inzaghi have also gone wrong. there are times when the ball doesn’t go in, but the important thing is that the opportunity is created.”

Ibra also reflected on the Rossoneri’s long-term absentees.

“[Antonio] Cassano came to Milanello two days ago to do some testing, he is always close to the team, even if he is not here every day he is always close. He is a great player who we all love.

“I know that Rino Gattuso is still enduring some problems and I’m sorry because he is a great person, a great player for the team and he serves on the pitch and off it, because he is a great leader.

“For me especially it is important that he is okay first as a person and then as a footballer.”

Funny how Ibra forgot to mention Chiellini there. maybe because every time he played against him after leaving Juve, he got owned.

Chiellini was considered as the equivelent of Bonera as a LB for Juve while Ibra was there wink.gif

I remember the Juventini groaning at the mere mention of his name back in those days
Zed.D
Fair enough, Chiellini became known as a great defender around the time Ibra left. but I remember the first Inter-Juve game after Ibra left the old lady and what Chiellini did to him, it was very enjoyable to watch biggrin.gif

ZLATAN IBRAHIMOVIC
QUOTE
"I was really happy after the third goal. It gave the team tranquillity and calmed down our game. In the first half we had a lot of chances to score, but the ball wouldn’t go in. We continued to create though and in the second half we got three. El Shaarawy has to grow a lot and he has much to learn, but he’s training very well. He also works with intensity and I’m sure that he’ll go far.

I think Emanuelson should play as a full back, but these decisions have to be taken by the coach. When he was at Ajax, that was where he was playing anyway. I feel better this year. I feel like the team leader and it’s a situation that I like. The extra responsibility pusher me to give even more in every game.”
William405
He is an amazing athelete, and his taikwando training helps with this flexibility.

Forza Ibra!!! Telling it like it is!

Who knows maybe now Allegri will actually play Urby at LB, after all he believes in Ibra so much. He has to be right!

I really do hope he can retire at Milan like he's said he plans on doing.

Maybe Allegri will now listen.
