You twisted mind. dry.gif tongue.gif I agree though, Ibra is not afraid to speak his mind, and frankly I loved how he went for Materazzi (these two have a bit of history the last season or two they were together). I abhor violence, but this was probably the best things Ibrahimović has done since joining Milan. Bar none.

to be fair iBra is every bit as violent and nasty is Marco. The main difference is that iBra is supremely talented and skillful while the other isn't. The other difference is because he contributes so much to his team most tend to look the other was when this side shows up. However Marco is known and used extensively as the butcher douche he is. iBra has on many occasions intentionally and violently fouled others. Look it up on youtube if you think I'm a blind hater. My stupid opinion is that scoring goals can't excuse that behaviour.
acid911
I get what you're saying. smile.gif Ibra is not saint, then again there are very few saints in world football (at least when it comes to keeping it clean, and not injuring opponents). And no your opinion is not stupid, I agree with it. Scoring goals should not mean you have a free license to break arms and legs all over the pitch.

At the end of the day, it is all a game. Not worth losing an eye because of it.

Let's not forget how he used to try to maul Sheva and Kaka back in the days during the derby. Sheva in particular. His main reason for being on the pitch was to simply kick them about

Ibra is like Van Basten, says Sacchi

Arrigo Sacchi feels Zlatan Ibrahimovic isn't necessarily better than Marco Van Basten, but adds that he certainly isn't worth any less as a player to Milan.

This morning's La Gazzetta dello Sport has a picture of Ibrahimovic on its front page pulling on a mask of Van Basten, suggesting that they are in fact one and the same.

“I don't believe it's right to judge whether Ibra or Marco is better,” Sacchi wrote in his column. “I would be less objective having coached Marco and benefited from his extraordinary ability.

“However, I must recognise that the actual Ibra is not worth any less. Marco was perhaps more elegant and until this year more capable [than Ibra] of linking with the team.

“Ibra hadn't always showed continuity and the ability to move himself with and for the team across the entire pitch until this season.

“The Swede has returned [to Italy] after being a partial failure at Barcelona with the desire to redeem himself which has increased his openness [to work for the team] and today he has completely exploded.

“He collaborates in defence, and in attack he doesn't just exploit his technical and physical potential, but moves in the time that the team wishes.

“If he keeps going this way, Ibra will equal Van Basten in international victories and individual achievements.

“Marco won three Ballon d'Or awards. Ibra has matured and has transformed from a soloist into a complete footballer.”

Haha, I get that asked a lot. laugh.gif tongue.gif I love similies (surprise, surprise) and frankly there are not enough of them on the Internet. Hence my avatar. It is a similey face watching a football match. It was an animated GIF, but here I have it as a static image. Now, please don't got nuts, LOL.

And oh, I used to change my signatures often (as in every week) and keep this avatar set. The day Maldini retired, I decided to retire my signature images as well. sad.gif so this one should be the avatar + signature combo till the end of time.

An interview with Ibra, personally I don't see anything wrong with his personality. If anything he sounds ambitious,ok he's had his mistake but I can honestly say that we made big fuss about his ego over here. It's not just the great goals and assists he's given us,it's the attitude.

Ibra needles Inter and Barca

Zlatan Ibrahimovic has taken another shot at Barcelona Coach Pep Guardiola and thinks Milan are “more important” than his former club Inter.

The Sweden international left Barcelona after just one season last summer and cited problems with Guardiola. He then controversially joined Milan despite his past with Inter.

Speaking to Eurogoals, he said: “At Barcelona I understood how quickly things can change in football. My problem there was one man and that was 'The Philosopher'.

“I didn't have problems with anyone [else]. No one can say that I did something bad and in the first six months it was all exceptional, but then something happened, even though I don't know what.

“I am still awaiting a response, but the fact is that after the first two months of 2010 he no longer spoke to me anymore.”

Ibrahimovic then made a point of praising Jose Mourinho, the Coach during his last year at Inter.

“If you don't have someone who motivates you, then you don't fight and it's for this reason that Coaches exist.

“I would have killed for Mourinho for the motivation that he gave me, for how he stimulated me.

“With the other one [Guardiola] there was football but a Coach must adapt his play for the players that he has, especially if you have bought one for €70m.

“And if you have bought a player you don't then leave him to watch the birds in the trees.”

Ibrahimovic later turned his attention to Inter with whom he won the Scudetto three times.

“I can't speak badly of Inter because I spent fantastic moments there, but historically I believe that Milan are a more important club.

“When I arrived here a project was presented to me which wheels around me and I have been promised many things on which the club is working.

“It's a project that is developing and I believe that next year will be the right year to fight on all fronts.”

Finally Ibrahimovic had words of praise for Ronaldo, who announced his retirement 10 days ago.

“It's a big loss. There isn't any better than him in the last 15 or 20 years

“Looking back I don't see players at his or Zidane's level.

“There is only one Ronaldo.

“Like Diego Maradona said, there are many kings, but only one God. And this is the same for Ronaldo,” he concluded.

this interview seems to suggest to me that iBra thought Pep should have built the team around his CL choking @$$. This is ludicrous since Messi was always going to be #1. Talk about an overinflated opinion of one's self......Naturally being the ultra n00b he is, Allergy bought into the hype and even a clearly off form and fatigued iBra is deemed unbenchable. iBra's agent echoed similar sentiments around the time of his departure - referring to the small team bully as a ferarri...

But i must say that i agree with a lot of what he says....saying that 'there's only one Ronaldo is clearly a dig on cristiano' and not only do I agree but I'm totally loving it. Also the part about a coach supposed to motivate his players should be heeded by the ppl that mercilessly bashed Ronaldinho and tether between saying Pato isn't good enough and accuse him of not exerting enough effort
acid911
This guy sure know how to open his mouth. biggrin.gif Liked his views on Ronaldo (the one).
Milan Are Brilliant
Good to see he likes CR7. Just upset that he never became the worlds best player like he said he would whereas Messi/CR7 clearly are.

Unlucky Zlatan. Get on with winning us the CL.

Nice one. biggrin.gif
kurtsimonw
He does underperform in the CL and he needs to improve. But I don't agree with all the criticism he gets. There's 11 guys on that field and none of them others managed to put the ball in the back of the net either. Having to rely on him is not his problem, it's the teams.

Unfortunately he's the one that has the most assists and the most goals. It's like everything we do goes through him.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic will never win a Champions League

Arrigo Sacchi, the coach of a Milan side which won two European Cups, observed that one can be a 'great footballer but perhaps not a great player'. Watching Milan founder at continental level brings to mind the great tactician's words.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic is a prodigiously gifted footballer. His combination of bulk, touch and strength gives him a head start on most players in his position but the Swede would not have got close to making Sacchi's winning team. In Serie A, when relied upon to find the net against the likes of Lecce, Catania and Cesena, 'Ibra' cuts an immense figure; ruthless, aggressive and capable of winning matches on his own. But the elite level of competition, the Champions League, needs not these qualities.

Champions League winning sides require their players to buy into the idea of competing for the collective. In recent times, Manchester United, Barcelona and Inter had that quality. Players in those teams had, or still have, an innate sense of the right thing to do.

It is no coincidence that Inter won the trophy the first season Zlatan deserted. It is no coincidence that Barca ditched him after a season. His sort is becoming increasingly obsolete at the top level of the modern game; stationary strikers who demand the ball to feet. His team-mates are instructed to play their offensive game only on his terms.

Against Tottenham, Ibra was typically ineffective. That is 23 Champions League knockout matches that have yielded only three goals. His team scored only seven times in eight European fixtures this season. And his lumbering presence is one of the key reasons behind that.

He uses the ball too inefficiently, refuses to be involved close to the half-way line and at the top level is a one-dimensional, ponderous player. Champions League winning teams do not buy players like Zlatan Ibrahimovic. They sell them.
kurtsimonw
That's a pretty stupid arguement, to say he held teams back.

I suppose Ronaldo was ajust someone that held teams back too? rolleyes.gif

It's just cool to rip on Ibra because of who he is. Nobody rips on Pato for his poor CL record and rightfully so, what does it matter if he scores a tonne of goals in the league?
