It's incredible how iBra NEVER has to take responsibility for anything....sure his fans pretend to be upset by his behaviour but they're already bought with a couple of goals.
Hits Strasser = it was just horse play
Almost injures Onyewu gets in a scuffle = it's Onyewu's fault
Red Card for PUNCHING a guy = It wasn't that hard
Red Card for being his usual idiotic self = b.s. excuse for the card being harsh etc etc

In other words "Ibra can do whatever he wants as long as he scores goals"
kurtsimonw
Nobody likes his behaviour. But the fact is he's been the biggest reason we're on our way to winning our first title for 7 years. It's not the same as with Ronaldinho where his performances were as bad as his attitude, Ibra has been outstanding besides the odd game, even if he is a ****.

It's almost as though milan fans care more about player's results on the field then how dateble he is dry.gif

hahaha awesome. +1
Fillipo Simone
Yes, it's different with Ronaldinho - his performances on the pitch were nothing special really.

But the thing is, I'm not sure how long Milan and the fans should suffer Ibra's behaviour. Sure, he single-handedly won us a few matches, even was instrumental for getting us first, above Inter and the others. But where's the end? What will be "big enough" to nullify all the goals he scored in the first part of the season? Because he sure is heading that way.

I'd say we say tankyou to him and give him a nice bonus (if we win the scudetto) and then find ourselves a new striker. It's not that Ibra is the only striker Milan can play with.
Jack Sparrow
If we can find equivalent replacements I'll be okay. I feel the fact that this year, Ibra no longer carries the team by himself is taken to mean that he's useless.

I think he played a keen role in both goals last match. Something I cannot imagine Borriello doing.

And as for Dzeko, let me just say that after the last match against Liverpool...give me Ibra anyday.
Zed.D
I think some of you guys are going a little overboard with all the "he's the only/biggest reason we're top" talk. he's stopped saving us single-handedly for some time now. how come we're still top?
Jack Sparrow
Exactly my point. How come when it comes to Ibra the yardstick is that if he's not our Superman...he shouldn't be on the team?!
Zed.D
Because he is a ****? innocent.gif
Jack Sparrow
I still think what Rino did eclipses anything Ibra has done this season on the pr!ck or the 'disgrace to our colours' scale. And honestly...there was that one punch..the rest of it was just a lot of harsh calls. Beyond that it's our personal bias letting us paint the man in the colours we choose.

So he doesn't in his interviews praise the lord and his team mates. He's a prick?? I'm yet to find one person criticise him from within the team, except for the coach..who is right on the nail with his comments.

I love the tactical flexibility Ibra brings to the team. He's a player who can play the ball-to-feet game as well as help us out with route 1 football.

He disappears in big games. True.

And Robinho misses absolute sitters.

And Pato can't pass.

And Cassano is overweight and childish.

And Seedorf is slow.

And the rest are too old or too crappy.

Meh. We should then keep just Silva.

You know what, you could be right. Very right, in fact. king.gif laugh.gif As for Tassotti, drucurl's IP address matched with Mauro's, but I'm gonna have to check my top secret source again. Seriously though, I sometimes feel for Tassotti, the man obviously has a desire to coach and if anything we should have gone for him last year instead of Leo.

Jack, even if there are, they don't dare to. just ask Strasser. you really think his teammates are happy with him constantly getting sent off and suspended. even Ibra said that his teammates had a reason to be unhappy with him after the Viola game.

Beside that I think there's no questioning Ibra the player. we can't afford better than him at the moment.

I have a problem with this statement. People like Rino, Nesta, Zee, Pippo afraid of Zlatan?? That'll be the day. Strasser's thing was a joke. The youth in the team have been getting bullied by the seniors for some time now-in all teams professional and amateur. God knows what Rino does to Pato on a daily basis. biggrin.gif

Exactly. Ibra says he's apologised to his teammates. He knows he's screwed up..and he accepted it.
Zed.D
Hey don't twist my words! mad.gif I said "even if there are". who in their right mind would think Ibra can scare Zee?! no, seriously? biggrin.gif

And I strongly disagree that Ibra is allowed to kick a kid. how do you know it was a joke anyway? Ibra had barely trained with the team before and if he'd made any friends, I doubt that Strasser was one of them.

I was soft to Ibra for his first red card. I blamed it all on Allegri for playing him like an animal. But this time he has crossed the line. He acted like a complete coward, not giving a damn about the consequences his stupidity might have had on the result of the game and disrespecting his teammates. That's very low, even for someone like Ibra.

Allegri made him punch a player?
i could understand if it was two late challenges then you could maybe blame allegri. But he punched a man!!
Besides we all know Ibra has been used all year long by almost all managers he has ever had.

First of all, it wasn't a punch. It was a slap. Secondly, I blame Allegri because he played him like an animal. It came to the point where Ibra was exhausted, and couldn't produce his usual game and score. That frustrated him and the slap was a result of such frustration. Knowing the kind of guy Ibra is, Allegri should have given him a chance to catch his breath and gain some energies.

If Ibra slaps a player he isn't fully to blame because he was tired, overworked?

you....complete.....me
Zed.D
What do you mean "Allegri played him like an animal"? Silva has been playing like an animal. half of our team have been playing like animals! Abate runs the length of the pitch like an animal (Ibra isn't THAT mobile after all). it in no way justifies his red cards.
dst
Yeah that's no excuse really... he did not play much in the second half of last season anyway.
X-Offender
Oh dear, it looks like no-one gets it. I'm not saying the fact he's tired justifies his red cards. Put it simply: Ibra tired => Ibra underperforming => Ibra frustrated => Ibra acting like an @ss. That's the logic.

And he's not been played like an animal? Until Bari, he had played every single game in the league, Champions League and one of the two games of Coppa Italia. That's 40 games! And why do you compare him to other players? Not everyone is structured the same. Ibra is someone who gets tired when overplayed, unlike Thiago Silva or Abate who are younger and have the stamina to play many games without dropping in quality.
Fillipo Simone
Fact stays, his behavior is starting to make damage to our team.
han2503
I think everyone is just over reacting, the same way everyone over reacted after the Rino thing. X-off, no matter how you justify it, the punch/slap whatever you wish to call it, was a lot worse then this, he cursed at the ref, we've seen him, and other players do it millions of times. That was soft and I'd forgive him that, the one against Bari is the true offense.

He was frustrated and tired against Bari, yes, he was frustrated against Fiorentina as well because he missed 2 sitters, and I know for a fact that would have eaten Ibra alive considering how long it has been since he scored from open play now, that frustration is still there, no matter how long he's had to rest.

As for the we're only here because of Ibra debate, I cannot agree with that. Ibra has contributed immensely to our Scudetto run, no one can dispute that, but the entire teamworked for this title. As someone mentioned before, the reason why Ibra gets more credit is because he gave his team mates the confidence and the belief that they could win this thing, something we haven't seen in years. And for that I'm very grateful that we have Ibra on the team, and personally I wouldn't trade him for Dzeko or anyone else, unless they're in the elite group that we cannot realistically bring in to the club

Seems to me like our heads have grown, now that we are hopefully going to win the title, "oh we don't need Ibra, he's a ****, get rid of that piece of sh!t" I think that is just BS talk. We're not going to be attracting anyone better then Ibra anytime soon, and in terms of strikers atm, you only have a handful who are better then him, and all of them would be out of the question. You want to bring back Boriello, Gila? Just because they're humble, don't talk sh!t to the press and are always noble on the field? Want to go back to fighting for 4th spot and the UEFA Cup?

Of course it's his fault. But who was the one that overplayed him? Massimiliano Allegri. Thus he shares a part of the blame.
Fillipo Simone
Actually no. I can't agree on that one. He should have made the change, and that's his mistake. But it's a separate thing. No one other then Ibra shares the blame for getting a 3-match ban during the season finale.

let's just leave it at :
- you and dru think allegri is to blame if Ibra punched Rossi
- The rest of us don't rate Allegri's mind control

Frankly i'm surprised the "rossi is a sh*tstarter" argument hasn't been used. He's caused countless cards/suspensions all year.

that's a fair point, i disagree on account of Ibra being able to pull goals out of nowhere, but that, atleast is a argument that doesn't rely on broken transitivity.

Ibrahimvic was vital in both our goals against Palermo. And I also agree with some that he is being unfairly treated by some refs when it comes to players fouling him. I mean does someone actually have to break his legs for a penalty to be given?

All of this said, I still believe if he just let go of some of his destructive attitude that holds him back, he would be a lot more effective. He still has the potential to be the best in the world IMO.

Came in today after a few suspensions and red cards - and almost the first thing he made was a rubbish foul which earned him a yellow card. People can like him and he may have contributed amazingly for our scudetto win, but I don't like the general mentality he's bringing to Milan. I'm not that desperate for Milan victories to look at the other side. He's bringing in something what I used to call Interista mentality and behavior. Makes me wanna puke.

I saw that yellow card as debatable & open a ref's decision.

One has to remember that Zlatan is a very big fellow, and the fact that if he rushes in at you, you're more than likely gonna be the one getting hurt, even in instances like this one, where he basically just held his ground.

I don't see what's there to debate, he pushed the Palermo player and it was intentional. He was full of anger.

ZLATAN IBRAHIMOVIC: AN UNSTOPPABLE FORCE

Zlatan Ibrahimovic: A phenomenal 2010-2011 season with the Rossoneri shirt on his back and going into the new season with new goals on the horizon. All agreements between Milan and Barcelona have been confirmed.

MILAN - A chat with some of the legends of Milan's past starting with the one and only, the unmistakble and unstoppable Franco Baresi. Subject: The season just past and title number 18. The main man, Zlatan Ibrahimovic: "Guys, let's be serious. He was decisive, devastating. He may even have a bit of a drop in form near the end of the season and the team did great to push on without him, but the initial wins, the most important ones, were all down to him." Ideas, agression, reflection, all roads lead to Ibra.

Zlatan has 21 goals to his name this season. His strikes against Auxerre were decisive for Champions League qualification as were his winning goals against Genoa, Napoli, Palermo, Inter, Fiorentina, Cesena and Catania. His passing, his help, his tracking back, pure Ibra. And that's why Milan, who were already the first in line at the end of last season, have signed sealed and delivered all agreements with Barcelona, first agreed at the end of August 2010.

He started the season just passed like a caged animal who had been set free and a touch of nerves at the tail end of the season was probably due to the fact that the Conan-like strength that he had shown in the first six months was no longer there. That's why the training regime that he has already started will be focused on spreading the same energy that the fans saw from September to March over nine months. Roll on next season.
