Seriously, when it comes to spectacular goals, Messi and Ronaldo don't even come close to Zlatan.

As I said recently. wink.gif No one tops him, Messi and Ronaldo combined don't.
X-Offender
How about being decisive? In the words of Sacchi, "Ibrahimovic is the most decisive player in the world right now". Really, what separates this guy from those two is the number of Champions League titles, nothing else.
acid911
Agreed. king.gif

I don't know, I think Ronaldo is the most decisive personally. I mean, the Portugal-Sweden games are a great example of why. I do agree that in terms of spectacular goals, and certainly the regularity of them, Ibra is better than both. Well, better than anybody, ever, for that matter.

But Portugal have a much better team than Sweden. Sure, Ronaldo was great in those games, not taking anything from it, but where you play is also important to an extent. Sweden is basically just Ibra and a bunch of average players, whereas Portugal have and always had a team full of quality players.

This. sleep.gif And I can't wait to see Ibra coach us when he retires, he expressed this not so long ago. If he proves himself to be a good manager, I'd welcome his return.

Ibra is possibly my favorite player at present, but I have no doubt that he is still 3rd best in the world!

As Kurt rightfully said, he may score the most spectacular of goals, but when it comes down to it, he tends to lack a little something when it really matters. I hope he can break that jinx soon though as he surely deserves a CL.

Sadly he couldn't get it with Milan, hopefully PSG will give him that opportunity!

In 2013 I would go as far as saying he's the 2nd best in the World personally. Not being a Messi hater, he just hasn't really been great this season, whereas Ibra has been awesome all year.

I agree.

You do? ohmy.gif Well, I'd practically call him the best in the world right now, ahead of CRON, and I rather like Cristiano ahead of others. There is not much you can do really to top what Ibra has been doing for a few months now. What more is there to expect.

You can say the same about CR.

You can say the same about CR.

I know, but Ibra has a squad that is comparably of lower quality, and at least not as gelled together as Real Madrid. Plus the fact that they play in Spain. Ibra mastered the Italian league, while both CRON and Messi have been enjoying their pleasure cruise in La Liga. unsure.gif Messi, since time eternal, it seems.

It's not a knock on Cristiano, a player can only be good as the environment he plays in allows. But if I had to choose between him and Ibra, I'd close my eyes and choose the latter as the better player. By a smidgen, a hair, if so.

He does? I'm not sure about that. I would say, man-for-man, that PSG are just as strong now.

But Ibra has only mastered the Italian league. Ronaldo did it in England as a kid and now in Spain.

But I think his numbers in England are more reflective of his true quality imo. The 50+ goal per season he and Messi haul in during a La Liga season is just ridiculous

Man for man, I would give you, to a certain extent. unsure.gif That is, if you are bundling all players, and weighing them at once. But Madrid has the best squad in the world by some distance, and this is something PSG cannot match. They may get close, though. But my major point was that PSG lacks the team chemistry that Madrid boasts.

Plus, I think they do have a few stinkers in defense, midfield and goalkeeping. They do have three of the absolute top players in the world in Ibra, Cavani and Silva, and this is an undeniable fact.

And that I don't doubt at all. smile.gif What Ronaldo did in England is on another level entirely, and all his accomplishments in Spain do not match. Though I would not go and say Ibra has ONLY mastered the Italian league. Master Serie A, and you are among the Les Incomparables.

I think most Swedes pride themselves on speaking fluent English. They even seem to prefer it. Even the Swedes settled in Germany! biggrin.gif

That's not even that good. tongue.gif Most of the people I talked to when I visited Stockholm even had a pretty good accent.

That interview makes me wish we held on to him. Never before has a player so radically changed my view of him. I thought he was an asshole when he played for inter but during his time with us I did a complete 180. The man is just a champion.

+1

Although his constant red cards used to annoy me, he more than justified his behavior on the pitch.

Unlike Balotelli, he proved decisive in all clubs he played in. In Europe he had much to show for, but a champion no doubt.

Totally feel the same way

He's fascinating to listen to as well. I need to put down his book as part of my to-do list
