But I thought the primavera was a lot like reserves. I have a vague memory of Pippo playing in the primavera when he was coming from injury. That's why I asked.

No unforunately he can't play any "official" games with the prim. He can train with them, thats not a problem. There are no reserve teams in Italy simply because of the co-ownership policy. We rather have co-owns and loans than a reserve league.

I wouldn't be surprised at all, Blue. Thing is, I don't think Dzeko has EU status and if Adiyiah is already or very nearly signed, Dzeko couldn't come til next year (I doubt he'll be content to just hang out at Milanello for 6 months).

Or we could sign him and let him be on loan at Wolfsburg until next summer?
Jack Sparrow
No...isn't that what Bluey posted.

A player cannot change clubs twice right? Even if it is his original club. Perhaps a pre-agreement with the club might be signed.

I think we will not know about Dzeko till we find out how Wolfsburg fare in the CL group stages. If they're out, Dzeko might want to come in, and we might even get a discount considering he's cup tied.

In which case Adiyiah might be kept idle till summer.

However considering all that Galliani has said, I think if Dzeko comes in, it will be next year. I hope we don't sell KJH till the next winter transfer. If he can't play despite Dzeko in the squad, he can't play at all.
amancik
Wow, these transfer policies you guys are talking about are rather complicated and complex. I wish we don't sell Huntelaar, I mean he's not been given chances to prove himself. He can't be that bad can he? He needs games to gain confidence and as this moment, it'll never happen.
Zed.D
Man, I'm beginning to love this Dzeko fellow! it's been a while since a player wanted to join us so badly.

I'd be really upset if we didn't move for him.
Jack Sparrow
+1.
Protagonist
I think Dzeko will come in next summer, most likely a trade-off with Huntelaar or Huntelaar will leave this winter.

On a side note, doesn't Dzeko remind you guys of Shevchenko? He seems too similar to him, and though Dzeko is not our player 'yet', its funny how I always think of him as already ours

I think you can. I remember Villa signed David Unsworth a few years ago, from West Ham, he then moved to EVerton 2 days later! Spurs signed Kyle Walker from Sheffield United this summer, but they let him remain their on loan for the remainder of the season. I think this "can't change clubs twice" thing only applies if he plays for the middle club, so if he was signed by Milan, but we loaned him right back without him playing for us, I think that'd be fine.

I think this is what you were asking anyway, apologies if I misunderstood.

I like Pandev too, but I would like us to go for Dzeko as he seems more like the centre forward type of player we need. Borriello and Huntelaar haven't really cut it for us yet. I'd take Pandev on a free for sure though, regardless of whether we need him or not. He's none-EU though isn't he?
Zed.D
I'd take Pandev too. why would he want to join Inter anyway? they're more than covered in attack department.

If he's going to be a free agent I expect Galliani to pounce for him cool.gif

He's Macedonian. So he is EU.

ROM is in Europe, it's not an EU member.

Yeah, I didn't think Macedonia was in the EU. Or has he maybe spent enouh time in an EU country to apply for citizenship, maybe?
Zed.D
What do you guys think about bringing Foggia back? it's reported he's not happy at Lazio...

I think now that we play 4-3-3, he could be of great use, both as a quality sub or even first team player.

Did Adiyah pass his dental check? Is Georgia part of EU?, cause we have a lame duck from that country that we can offload without feeling the loss.

There Is No Agreement With AC Milan For Edmund Hottor - Agent

AC Milan have recently been in the market for a number of talented youngsters as they look to build for the future, but the transfer of Edmund Hottor has hit a snag.

According to the player's agent, an agreement has been struck between Milan and Triestina for the 16-year-old, but nothing has been settled between the Diavoli and the player.

"Yes, Napoli have raised the stakes because we do not currently have an agreement with Milan," Leonardo Giusti told ilsussidiario.net.

"The Rossoneri have reached an agreement with Triestina and we are very proud and happy with this, but they will also have to talk with me as I represent the lad and we will take the offer into consideration.

"We would be very happy to end up in Milan," he concluded.

The Rossoneri have already sealed a deal for Dominic Adiyiah and are also reportedly close to finalising a move for Gustavo Leonel Pereira.

I'm not worried, Triestina is one of our feeder clubs. There is no way in hell he's going anywhere else as its already shown by the door being shut on barca/manu/madrid.

Milan Want Amauri & Juventus Will Replace Him With Wolfsburg Ace Edin Dzeko - Report

Juventus are ready to put Brazilian striker Amauri on the transfer market and replace him with Wolfsburg hitman Edin Dzeko, as coach Ciro Ferrara plans some big changes.

Tuttosport reports that the powerful Bosnian international is eager to play in Italy. He was linked with Milan last summer but the move never got off the ground, despite several efforts. However, he has now opened up dialogue claiming he wants to play for Milan in an interview he gave to FIFA.com on Monday.

Despite his will to play for the Rossoneri, voices claim that Juve are ready to come in for him. The report suggests that Milan have now gone cold on the Wolfsburg man, focussing their attention on Amauri instead. Therefore Juve will ask for around €20million for the Brazilian and then pounce for Dzeko as his replacement.

Giampaolo Pazzini of Sampdoria is also said to be on the radar in Turin following his outstanding form this season.

Also, in a separate report, Sky Sport Italia are claiming that Klaas-Jan Huntelaar may be sold to make room for Sevilla's Luis Fabiano. The Brazilian was also close to joining Milan last summer.

i'm posting this because its news, but I am 100% sure this is false. Dzeko is the only striker in europe we want currently. That I am 100% sure of.

furthermore, he is a milanfan. We want him he wants us. Only thing stopping us is cash and the non eu rule.

Also Leo is a big fan of him so theres no problem unlike Huntelaar who Leo did not want at all.

English Premier League side Tottenham Hotspur are about to rekindle their interest in Milan striker Klaas-Jan Huntelaar for the January transfer window.

Tuttomercatoweb.com reports Spurs are ready to tempt Milan with an enticing €15 million bid for the Dutchman - the same amount Milan paid Real Madrid for him in the summer. The report suggests the north London-based club had already tried, but failed to land him during the last transfer window.

Huntelaar has been disappointing for the Rossoneri this season. He has struggled to stamp his mark on the club, failing to score thus far, which has fuelled speculation he is on his way out.

Voices have previously suggested the Italians are keen on Gareth Bale, and could use Huntelaar as bait to land the Welshman in a cash plus player deal during the winter transfer scene.

A move seems difficult though. Milan have not confirmed the reports, but Adriano Galliani did suggest the club would not be too active on the market this year.

I've heard in a few places that Redknapp is going to be meeting with Galliani during the international break to discuss a transfer. Whether or not its true we'll have to see.

AC Milan Aiming To Replace Klaas-Jan Huntelaar With Luis Fabiano - Report

Despite Milan's greatly improved recent form, the Rossoneri's attack could still use some reinforcements as new purchase Klaas-Jan Huntelaar has been ineffective so far.

The Dutchman has failed to score a single goal this season and although the club have stated they continue to believe in his potential, the transfer rumours are already starting to go around concerning the player.

According to Goal.com Italia, one of the teams interested in acquiring the former Ajax and Real Madrid man are Tottenham Hotspur, who are allegedly willing to spend €15 million for 'The Hunter'. That's the same amount spent by Milan to buy him from Los Blancos.

It's no secret that last summer the Rossoneri's primary target was Sevilla star Luis Fabiano. It's certainly possible that the Serie A giants will make another attempt for him next summer, when they hope to have a bit more money to spend.

Last summer they were unable to meet the Spanish club's demands for the player, and the relationship between the two clubs has deteriorated a bit. But for a player of the 29-year-old's value, they might be willing to make an extra effort.

not happening.
kurtsimonw
If we got rid of Huntelaar (for a loss), then signed Fabiano for more than we were willing to pay last time around, I have had it with the management completely.

Here's a new one. Il Giornale is reporting that Milan are ready to ask Udinese for Pepe on loan-with-option. Udinese, so they think, is probably only willing to sell.
CrazyMilanFan
dzeko, pepe,Luis Fabiano,Gignac how many stiker do we need to be linked with when we really need a full back at first

We will have it hard against Ireland, Trap and his men have come out as a very tough team to beat. But I hope in the two legs, we can walk away with qualification.

Dida has refused an offer from Corinthians. His contract will be extended provided he accepts to get his wages cut back from €4 m to €2 m.

This is a smart move, though that means we can't free up a non EU spot from that angle.

How many non-EU players can we register?

puke.gif Pepe, overrated.
I'd rather have Foggia, who's far better and somehow a youth product.

Don't we have enough strikers already? We bought young players for attack, we still need to finish the back and haven't started the middle. No matter how many strikers we buy they still will suck because other sectors suck. Get over strikers for heavens sake.

The twitter thing was in the Italian press yesterday and was, I believe, noted by Miz in the Dida thread.

Does anyone really consider twitter to be in any way a reliable news source? (It happened to repeat something correctly this time but really...)

That depends on the source, if it is your grandma twitting then yeah that won't be reliable. But there are few twitters out there from news sources, including goal.com or any other respectable news agency. The key is to find the real ones and discard the fakes.

Actually I was following Gooch and then during US game he posted that Italy was beautiful while I am watching him play, go figure.

I know first hand that goal.com basically reproduces the news from other media. So they're as reliable as the media they quote or reprosduce.

it'll be a damn shame if we eventually don't sign this dzeko dude, he's very very good &is more than willing to quit wolfsburg for milan tomorrow if possible.

i'll not with the other fellows who want foggia back, i'd rather go for krasic provided we have enough money to pull it off

I'm about ready to scream due to the incessant pining for Dzeko. Why, you ask? Well, management finally gave in to the fans' demand that we sign Huntelaar. Twelve matches, zero goals and one disappearing act later, there's a reason why they get paid to pick the players and we don't.

If we're getting our Milan news from f'n Twitter now, then it's the sign of the apocalypse.

Any Milan Twitter account is fan-made, because the team does not have an official account (if they did, you think they'd have announced it on acmilan.com by now).

I think extending with Dida with a reduced wage is a very good idea, he's good to have but not on the wage he's currently on.

Secondly if we sign Pepe I'll throw myself off a cliff, I can't stand to see him play once every 2 months with Italy let elone see him in the Milan shirt week in week out.

Thirdly if we're going to go after a Udine boy get D'Agostino or Zapata rolleyes.gif

Your first point we already went over in the past. I'm going to post news whether its reliable or not; i'll let people be the judge on whether or not to believe something. You don't have the right to tell me what I can or cannot post, don't like it? You can join tennie's group.

Because it's misleading to post 'news' that comes from a glorified version of AIM instant messaging. And this particular thread is turning into a gossip column as it is.

As for the multiple posts in a row, it's something we can ALL try not to do quite so muhc. I know I'm guilty of it sometimes too but it does clutter the place up. So, please. If you've got 9 news items, make a really big monster post, not 9 posts. I'll try to do the same.
