no your right. Its not that they are lowering the pro player managers, not at all. What they are doing is making sure its no longer just a walk-in job for players. What it means is they all have to go through the process just like everyone else. Ofcourse I wonder if they can regulate this with all the corruption out there. If I were a player, why would I not just buy the examiner for a 100k and be passed easily.
I think you overestimate the power of corruption within most european countries. You can't just "buy" your license. Also, I think that ex-players have a slight advantage compared to their non-ex-pro counterparts. They already trained under great coaches. Of course the class of a person as player has nothing to do with their class as coach. Best examples. Lothar Matthäus and Maradonna. Both were the best players in the world on their peak (Maradonna may even be the best ever) but they don't have the ability to become a decent coach. Other ex-players like Trap or Beckenbauer had the quality as they're not as dumb.
That said, I'm not a huge fan of modern "scientific" approach to football as invented during the 80ies in eastern europe and now performed by coaches like Mourinho. Doesn't have the charme.

-cassano will leave for 20M (not that much for arguably one of serie A's top 5 players)
-pandev/ladesma still on the block
-molinaro wants out of juve
-sevilla are also targeting Dzeko to spite us

Milan Could Have Signed Francesco Totti At 12 - Former Agent Stefano Caira
A member of the Milan management approached the Italian international's mother with an offer, but the agent told her to refute it, as he would be worth much more...
Agent Stefano Caira has revealed in an interview to Radio Incontro that Milan were interested in signing Roma captain Francesco Totti at the tender age of 12.
But it was Caira who convinced Totti's mother not to accept the deal, and wait for an even bigger, and better offer.
"When Francesco was 12, a person from the Milan team presented to Totti's mother [Fiorella] 150,000.000 lire," the now ex-agent revealed.
"She asked me what I was to do, and I responded that, that amount was too little for Francesco."
Caira said that he had been following Il Capitano's progress from the age of just five, and knew how much he really could be worth.
He continued, "At 18, Roma offered him his first professional contract, worth 50 million lire, whilst Nike made him quickly sign a 300 million lire contract as a testimonial to their products.
"After Nike came Adidas, who offered the player €1.5million a season, and €500,000 a year for life to become an ambassador.
"It was at this time that someone around him told him to not accept these deals, and the rapport between us two was never the same," Caira concluded.
Totti's Roma take on Palermo on Wednesday night.

We need a trequartista. We also need someone strong on the right.
Cassano is another left-centric SS. We already have Pato and R80. Seedorf loves the left too.
On the other hand, I assume this would give us a viable attacking threat down the right flank.

LOL 15 million!

Where do these guys get their numbers from. All of a sudden now our budget has increased? I'm going to wait until the fee is released but on the case of the player. Many are reporting he is signed, however! There are rumors he might be coming in January instead of summer. Nothing official but personally I'm not too optimistic about this one. I knew when we had signed klass but this one seems a little off. My guess is what happened is we approached them and told them we are interested in him and the paper probably misinterpreted that as we signed him.

still too early my freind to state these things. Its september 23. I have never seen Milan spend more than 5 million on a player before the window actually starts. No way not this early. Galliani is always looking for bargaining and stalling and getting a lower price. He's not going to get a low price right now. The only way I can believe this to be true is that another team is close to signing him and we moved in quick.

Sampdoria have made the perfect start to the 2009/10 Serie A season, as they have managed four wins from the first four fixtures, to sit atop of the table, alongside Juventus.
As always their star player, Antonio Cassano, has been one of the side’s key figures in their successes to date, as they have accounted for the likes of Catania, Udinese, Atalanta and Siena most recently.
Cassano has continually been linked to some of Italy’s strongest clubs, including Juventus and Inter over the past couple of years, since officially joining the Blucerchiati from Real Madrid back in 2007.
His future has been debated many times before; however the president of his club, Giuseppe Marotta, managed to clear things up a little in a recent interview.
“Antonio is player who gives us great emotions every Sunday,” Marotta declared on the Campionato dei Campioni program.
“What he does on the pitch is fantastic, and we are so thankful to have him.
“When he arrived on a free transfer from Real Madrid, we could afford him in the economy at the time.
“There have been some requests for him lately. I know that [the Inter president Massimo] Moratti is very interested in him, but there has never been any negotiations.
“Antonio has a buyout clause of around €20 million, so if a club were to be interested and were willing to pay this amount, then he can leave Genoa.
“Following that, we will be forced to pay Real Madrid around €5 million for compensation.”
Cassano and his Samp team-mates are gearing up for their midweek fixture against Fiorentina, at the Artemio Fracnhi stadium.

There will be, there has to be seeing as the Champions is a lucrative competition and come December 6 games will have been played translating to a couple of millions $$ coming into the club. Then with the sale of Kaka and Gourcuff, plus considering there was not much movement in the summer.
So by saying that, you are wrong, Milan will have money to spend and I think that come December we will be in the process of assessing our needs; like a midfielder/effective-striker/fullback. And in that there is no fantasy lamp, there is just Milanfans being Milanfans

the bulk of our current problem have roots in bad management decision in the transfer market
crespo- did very very well with us during his loan spell from chelsea, for whatever reason we didn't make the move permanent, he got signed on loan by inter for the next two seasons and with his contributions they claimed the scudettos in both years.
gilardino- probably the main reason galliani&co snubbed the crespo offer, they preferred to sign the italian prodigy, he did well in his first season scoring 17times, not many goals in his second season but he did seem to have a good on field chemistry with the 18yr old pato, still he got sold on to fiorentina for 15m. he's since helped them secure 4th spot, he's also scored more times than any of our strikers this season&continues to do well
borriello- 1 wonder season with genoa was convincing enough to splash 10m for 50% of his contract, well with his injuries and below par performances he's worth nowhere worth near the 20m he's valued at.
cissokho- y'all know the story& our left back woes still continue
ronaldinho- carlo asked for a big target man (adebayor) instead berlusconi wanted his team like his championship manager version
paloschi- we'll surely be on the loosing end of the negotiation table when we buy back his contract
fabiano- ....................
gourcuff- u'd think with the impressive season at bordeaux he'll get his chance, instead he also get the boot while we pocket 15m& we keep wishin ronnie'll come through with magic
dida, kaladze, oddo- continue to earn the big bucks and give us nothing back in return.
its got me thinking we need a new management, they'll be just fine even if we don't qualify for the europa league

Yeah, its like everyone is Sherlock Holmes trying to scratch out anything just to support an argument.
Dida earns Millions because he brought in two Champions League trophies, next time you see the number 7 on the shoulder of the players think of 'that' Dida!
And Kaladze earns Millions because he fucked Berlusconi's daughter.
And in the end, once that contract was signed, there is no turning back. And remember they signed those contracts during a crucial period. Which gave us the last piece of glory we will probably see in the next 5 years

WHILE GALLIANI DOZES
Lazio striker Goran Pandev has officially filed legal action against his club with the arbitration panel of the Lega Calcio, as reported by La Repubblica, Ansa and Goal.com Italia.
The former Ancona star's lawyer, Mattia Grassani, confirmed the player's action. "The recourse was submitted in the early afternoon," he said.
The player's goal is to attain immediate termination of his contract, rather than wait until June 2010, when it expires.
The 26-year-old has been kept out of the Lazio team since announcing that he wanted to leave the Stadio Olimpico outfit in the summer. He was infamously labelled a "rebel" by president Claudio Lotito, along with Lorenzo De Silvestri (now of Fiorentina) and Cristian Ledesma.
Pandev has even been training separately from his team-mates as a result of being excluded from the squad.
Despite plenty of interest in the hitman, no one was willing to meet Lotito's price-tag of €19 million.
Should the player succeed in rescinding his deal, the likes of Inter, Bayern Munich and Juventus are reportedly ready to pounce for his signature.
