yeah well, you havnt been reading the papers these days
As far as the whole world is concerned, we are falling apart. And tbh, this is the sad truth! But oh well, our president thinks we are second to none, so .. same BS, new season
as a matter of fact i do read the papers....i read them everyday and they all say the same thing with some signings here and there milan can compete to inter and juve
i am not lying to myself i do know that we are not that good but what you said is way out of line!!!
Berlo always says these thing not cuz he believes it but he wants to calm us fans down and its not working but i all i am saying is when we do great and we win everything don't run around and shout forza milan cuz and say you believed in this cuz you don't and your a glory hunter !

Are you really asking that? Sicily is known for the mafia.
Lol, why do you think that people from Sicily say they are Sicilian and not Italian?
really they say that. I had no clue!

Well, to be really picky:
*the Mafia is from Sicily
*the N'dragheta is from Calabria (southern Italy)
*the Comorra is from around Naples.
They're all separate groups but are generally referred to as 'mafia' collectively.

Glad to see Rui again. Nesta is slowly getting it back and Silva is impressive. We desperately need a LB. It's not against the rules for Italian teams to field young unproven players from their youth squads... see Carletto, you got that wrong? IDIOT! I hope Pato will do more of that "beautiful run in the end" and less of that "nightmarish 85 minutes".

Welp, scratch one friendly off the list (thank goodness). The Real-Milan friendly is OFF. Real had to reschedule because of security stuff related to Atletico's CL game and Milan couldn't accommodate the changes due to the Serie A fixture list. So Real will be playing Rosenborg and Milan (thank goodness) doesn't have to fly to Madrid to play a silly friendly the week before the derby.

He's got news, of a sort. It looks like Borriello will NOT be wearing the 22 jersey -- or the marketing guys really screwed up. They're selling Borriello 11 jerseys at the acmilanusa store (which is an official store linking off the website).

not in so many words...but he implied that it was.
He said that the number 22 was special to him because he wore it at Genoa and that it was his mothers birthday.
Although I think he thought that since Kaka had such good luck with that number it would rub off on him.

Gazzetta's print edition has done an overview of Milan's team as seen so far this summer. Here's their verdict (Fishdoll's quick translation):
DEFENSE: The CB pairing of Nesta and Silva is strong and looks good but there are problems with LB and RB. Zambrotta's not in top form, Janku doesn't convince, Antonini is pushing for his chance, and Oddo isn't being considered. Bonera's recuperation is being waited for anxiously.
MIDFIELD: Pirlo and Gattuso are the start. Pirlo's staying shouldn't be undervalued, but he needs to pass the ball more quickly. Gattuso's recovering after his injury, Ambro has a knee problem and Flamini seems very determined. Abate's fast and runs a lot but is best as a winger and not in a 4-3-1-2. And then there's Seedorf who is an alternative to Ronaldinho but who's also ready to play further back.
ATTACK: Pippo's the certainty, scoring 4 of the club's 9 goals this summer. Aside from him, there's gloom. Borriello deserves applause, runs and pushes the team on. Ronaldinho should guarantee continuity but isn't yet. Pato's going through a difficult moment, and hasn't yet learned to play with his teammates (? Fishdoll surprised but that's what Gazzetta says), and everyone's waiting for Huntelaar, the new buy who can do great things in the area and score a lot of goals.

Regarding the entire attack in general, it mostly looks like no one really knows what he's doing except for Boriello who more or less has been in the middle holding up the ball and making runs. But Pato and Dinho look a bit confused on most occasions. I think both like playing down that left hand side, look at what Pato did against Benfica the minute he managed to really run at the defenders on that left wing.
Dracoris
Aug 11 2009, 04:22 PM
Dinho has already said he likes playing behind the two strikers, so seems to me they should put Pato on the left, Hunt on the right and stick Dinho behind them feeding them balls.

I agree but also, Pirlo should either play on the dead left side OR he should be allowed to roam free further up front where he could form a Xavi/Iniesta-like partnership with Rollfatdingdong.
