Few other things to note:

Ronaldinho got man of the match but beckham also deserved. Ronnie is back ladies and gents.

Abate is f*cking fast as hell.

Pippo has still got it. Thank god we have flamini. Pirlo pato gattuso and zambro and dida didn't play. Kalac is garbage.

For the first time we have seen a milan coach give teh youth a chance. Zigoni, strasser, albertazzi were given 20 minutes!

Dinho stole the show tonight. Hopefully keeps it up and stays motivated. Great ball from him for Flamini to square back to Inzaghi. Defensively we were ok, usual pre-season mess ups but nothing atrocious. Nesta + Silva look good together. Oddo is horrible, really need to get rid of him and bring in someone else.

In midfield, Flamini was good, Ambro ok. Seedorf poor. Not much creativity but solid defensively.

Upfront, we got nothing till Inzaghi came in. Borri with some decent holding up but nothing more, although probably the best he could do tonight. Youngsters wise, no one really impressed, Abate showed some pace but the match was loosing it's structure by the time he came in, all our subs and him having to switch from RW to RB.

I want to see how we do with Pirlo, Pato and Zambrotta back in the side.

Also Beckham was worldclass. He was very good. Game ended 2-2, he pretty much set up galaxies goal's by himself.

+1 - Beckham played very well!

Overall a poor match from both sides. The game was more like Ronaldinho Vs Beckham than Milan vs galaxy.

...Agreed!

He is our Theo Walcott...I won't be surprised if he is as fast as Walcott...we definitely need a LB and De silverstri...and our midfield sucks...we need like two players bought in our midfield and then Fabiano cuz we don't have much choice...we can't not stay as we are...very impossible to stay as we are because we'll suck very bad...I wish we had gotten Cissokho...

The match was really good. I didin't regret for waking up this kind of early. The only thing I missed was that Ronaldinho didint even try to score a goal by himself... smile.gif

beckham...come back to milan (or anywhere else for that matter). galaxy fans are too stupid to realize you're better than 90% of the players in our league.

so sick of uptight usa soccer fans. we are no where near good enough of a league to complain about a player like Beckham wanting to move to a different club.

makes me sick

Rino is with teh squad, Pirlo is on his extended vacation because of the confed cup. I dont think he'll play in the USA, but I could be wrong. He'l probably be available for the audi cup is my guess.

Or

He is not with the squad, which means he is probably leaving. I think he is on his vacation others will tell you he is leaving, we don't know as of right now.

I think in two months they will be much better!

I always said here that Abate is the more promising of the 2 and I will stand by it.

We'll see whether or not they'll actually make any impact at all next season

Fishdoll notes that a quick look at acmilan.com (whichever language), particularly the picture section, shows multiple shots of Pirlo and Rino training on Venice Beach in California. There were also shots of Rino on the bench during the game. He thinks they're all probably there unless someone's particularly good at photochopping.

Fishdoll notes further that Onyewu's official introduction/press conference thingy will be in...about half an hour from now, before the evening training in Atlanta.

As regards the game v LA, it wasn't all that bad given what it was. Fishdoll thought Di Gennaro did reasonably well - and that his free kick was a thing of beauty (when he was a primavera, he was said to be by far the most talented kid on the squad; it's more a matter of putting things into practice. He was fielded as a winger but his natural position is that of trequartista). None of the other kids really got a lot of time but Abate made a couple of runs and can clearly cross more accurately than Oddo who, in Fishdoll's opinion, sucks (not Locke's) donkey balls. None of the young kids made any big impacts but none made any huge errors. Fishdoll thought that of the lot (Albertazzi, Zigomi, Strasser), Strasser did the best.

Better crosses than Oddo? - laugh.gif well that isn't too hard
But I agree Abate's crosses looked quite good.

Should anyone know of a link to stream Gooch's official presentation it would be appreciated.
Otherwise I'd settle for a link after it has actually taken place.
At the moment - its the only real new signing thus far, so I won't taking it in.

Here's Fishdoll's quick and dirty translation of Onyewu's press conference (which is only on the italian page so far.) Fishdoll's probably not perfectly accurate and is a little annoyed that they're not posting it in English too since he almost certainly SPOKE in English. (from acmilan.com's italian page)

QUOTE
I was very happy when I found out I'd be playing for Milan. I've got to say I was also a little emotional because playing for such a presitigious club isn't something that happens every day and not for everyone. The fact that I've arrived at Milan makes me happy also because I can be useful to the club. I'll try to help my teammates with my physicality if necessary. These are characteristics that can help a team.

I know Serie A very well, and think it's a difficult and competitive championship. I'm aware of the difficulties I'll find with the presence of so many good players. This brings competition and is important for a team with ambitions because it raises attention.

Luis Fabiano did great things in the Confederations Cup. I know well from having faced him there. Given that he's not yet a Milan player it's not right to talk more about it but it'd be nice if he arrived.

Ibrahimovic is a great player. If I should face him I'll try to close him off and do my best. I've already faced him once and he didn't score on me - when we were playing for our national teams. I don't know if I'll face him but for sure I won't let him score if I do.

I don't agree with the whistles to Beckham. David is a great player. I wasn't in LA to see the game and I didn't see the moment live. I know that there were whistles but there was also applause. Some saw his return in one way and some saw it in another. David is a great player and deserves respect.

I dont think there was ever the question of who was better. Carlo is the superior coach. But the game was not inter vs chelsea it was more like chelsea vs wigan or something. Inter got completely owned. Carlo has managed to turn chelsea into milan of 2003-2007 in a month. The way the moved the ball around was like sex on a beach ohmy.gif

I want him back....sad.gif... but thats not possible. I just hope Leo can do some good!
Jack Sparrow
I know you want to hook up with me, but I only do chicks. wink.gif

I know Chelsea played well, but with due respect, I think it was more of Inter playing like crap. The two goals were from a deflection and a penalty. Of course Anelka f@cked one up. Deco looked good. And Inter didn't have a chance till the 80th or so minute at goal. (Zlatan headed into the side netting).

I don't think Mourinho's even decided the composition of his team, coz if Zlatan leaves everything changes and he doesn't even know who's coming in now.

However what's odd, is Mourinho's already started sulking, and refusing media requests. Has he fallen out with Moratti?

Well from what I read, even prior to the inter vs chelsea game (which probably soured him further)
He is said to have rejected all media interaction for the remainder of the friendly tournament in the U.S.
