But in a way, I believe it is better that he stays with Spurs. If they offer him his value on contract, he should stay put in the club where he build a reputation off of. Maybe in two or three years time some other club, but he should stay and build on his development a bit more. He has potential, but not 60MM.

Spurs hold on to their players though. Berbatov and Modric were made to stay despite throwing tantrums and then sold for £30m each when their contracts were running down. If Bale signs a new deal Spurs will either keep him or demand silly money, they will be happy either way.

Unfortunately our owners ego often gets in the way and the Silva contract signing was nothing more than for him to be able to say "I saved X money", when he really hadn't.

I think Finals usually are. The only team you usually get exciting games is when teams don't defend properly and leave themselves open - like the CL Final this year. This was a mostly solid and dull affair.

Well we had those couple of years of great Championship finals but the last 2 have really put it back to being almost unwatchable for the neutral.

Yeah that Swansea one was great. It's a shame when Finals are dull, they're meant to be the best of the best.

Oh and Zaha looks quality. Not seen much of him really, but in the SF 2nd leg and the Final he seems to have real ability. He uses a lot of tricks, but they're actually used to beat people rather than for show. Looks like a good signing for United.

Yeah, he's going to take some nurturing and if they go blow the bank on Cristiano it's going to be harder again, even if Rooney leaves. Not 100% sure he's ready for first team United yet, hope Moyes brings him on though. Would be a shame to see another talent wasted on the bench.

Think it's a better time of the year to do transfers and unlike the American sports we only get about a month proper break, the season pretty much starts again in a couple of weeks with pre-season etc. Crazy.
