There is a big difference when you are playing against Warford in another league game or when you are playing 1/4 CL game. The motivation of players are different. Everything is different.

Valencia and Chelsea played very good game: fast and attacking. Valencia were lucky to concede only one goal in the second half. It will be very interesting next week. Valencia are favorites now.

Valencia will do to Chelsea what they did to Inter. They will try to hold on for the away goals win.

I watched both games (mostly Roma..) and I must say Roma controlled the play almost 80% was in their favour .. While Valencia, they palyed well, but gave too much away in the dying minutes; and why were they playing high balls with Villa It's like lobbing the ball over Gattuso.

Roma always play better away. It won't be easy for United.

It wont be easy for United and it wont be easy for Chelsea ... As it wont be easy for Milan. So, with that said, some games u can speculate about the final result of the second leg; but in this case, I think we already know who will reach the semis ..

Yes, and Lampard is the worst. He always shoot too much from distance. But Sheva almost scored with the scissors kick in the end when defender saved from the line plus there was a clear penalty on him in the first half.

Apparently they're blaming it on Roma fans provoking United fans. Surely that doesn't give them the right to go and charge at the police? Whenever I've been to an away game where we're losing, the fans really give you a hard time, I've never once though of going to attack them.

Roma played with a numerical advantage for well over 50 minutes, so that is to be expected. But Roma really should have killed off the tie with the chances they got.



It's sad really to see him moving around and working so hard to create spaces for himself so he would be open for a good pass, but all they fo (especially Lampard) is shoot from over 30 meters.

It obviously works, Lampard is possibly the best goal-scoring midfielder in the world. He's got as many as Totti and Kaka put together this season, I believe.

Man U aren't a small team to be affected by playing with 1 less than the other team ! United is an experienced side, and can deal with these situations ... So that shouldn't be an alibi

But when there is a clear opportunity for a good pass to an open player who is in a better position to score then you, just past the god damn ball, not keep trying to shoot.

If there was no one open then yes, his shooting ability is a big advantage to have, but not when there is a clearly better option to it.

Do you get where I'm coming from with this? Gerrard is a good example of this, he has as good a shot as Lampard does, but when he clearly sees the pass as being the better option then he doesn't try the shot.



It won't matter when they're up against Watford and the likes but against Roma it does matter, especially when Roma have the midfield they do.

Not really .. They have a very good coach in SAF and I think his team held on well, even being down by one man, they still played and got the away goal. Sure in terms of an extra hand would be great, but on the playing field, it doesnt matter if u have 11 or 10 players, it doesn't make a huge difference.

I still think it does make a difference. Losing a man will make you change your whole game plan that's why the had to defend for 3/4ths of the match.

If they did have the same number of players on the pitch as Roma then we could be looking at a different result.

I know they're a good enough to handle the loss of a player without the need to panic but it does make a big difference imo.

Anyway... Valencia I think will go through, Man United will turn it on at home and will surpass Roma in the end with relative ease, Liverpool are already through.
