why this happened ? why galliani do this ? it was very clear that someone like oliviera with his great abilities need a bit motive and after arriving ronaldo will be more excited and motivated , so why we do this ?

Milan agree Ronaldo fee Tuesday 30 January, 2007
Ronaldo will sign for Milan this evening after the Italian club reportedly agreed to pay £5.3m to Real Madrid.
The two clubs finally reached an agreement this afternoon and the Brazilian will put pen to paper before flying out to Milan at 18.00 hours local time.
The former Inter player, who left Italy for Real in 2002, has already passed his medical and is expected to commit himself to the Rossoneri for the next 18 months.
“I know that Ronaldo is now a Milan player,†Real Madrid boss Fabio Capello is quoted as saying this afternoon. “I wish him luck.â€
However, talks for Ronaldo took a twist earlier today as Real Madrid also asked Milan for the loan of Ricardo Oliveira.
It is understood that the Italian side have agreed to the proposal even if they would have to find a replacement for the flop before the window closes tomorrow.
Palermo’s Andrea Caracciolo seems in pole position after his agent admitted that he is set to meet with Milan’s sporting director Ariedo Braida.
“I am always very cautious until things are finalised,†said agent Andrea D’Amico to Radio Radio.
“I have been speaking with Milan for a while, because I believe Caracciolo has the characteristics needed to play for an important club.
“There is a chance that he might move to Milan, but nothing is certain. I am waiting for Braida to return to Italy and we will meet.
“Caracciolo is a player who has great potential. He might not have many opportunities to play at Milan, but you must believe in his qualities,†concluded D’Amico.
The striker himself has admitted that he would like to join the San Siro club, although he is not aware of what seems to be going on.
“I would be happy to play for the Rossoneri, but I don’t know anything about this issue,†he stated.
Meanwhile, Palermo have signed Polish striker Radoslaw Matusiak who is expected to pen a three-and-a-half year contract.
The transfer was confirmed by the player’s current outfit Belchatow, who posted a note on their website stating that the 25-year-old, who has scored nine goals this season, will join the Rosanero for £1.4m.

WTF, Carafuckin'iolo???????
If this b/s is true then first I hope we sold him at least at 15M€, second Carashit is a Toni striker type which means we're going to play with the x-mass tree in CL, third we're going for R10 in the summer for sure!
All in all I think we're going to be kicked out from the CL, lets just hope we'll be there next year

Well thats it for oli.
I mean your not going to loan him out and then bring him back.
At least out attack looks threatening for roma and our last two games of the champions league for the season.
If the former phenomenon is a flop, we'll be absolutely coasting.

It's not about filling Oliveira's boots... It's about what a great player Oli was and how they never believed in him... He could have scored many goals with us if JUST the club could show him the same confidence they showed to Gila...

i dont get why where puutting him out on loan. normmally you to that when you have a surplus of players in a certain position. this is a disgrace, all this talk about going for CL, and all we have is pippo, gila which is complete **** and who knows at the rate we sign players it could take 12 months to sign another another striker to play in CL.

Is there anyone good that we can realistically sign before the deadline?
Seems liverpool were able to get fifa to bend the rules and get a loan deal on masherano.
Just thought I'd mention it since thats a push to sign for the future in terms of age and talent. Unfortunately we seem to only sign the overaged and formerly talented.
milanistar
Jan 30 2007, 06:29 PM
He was talented for sure, but may he hadn't the right attitude, I dont know but I'm our management would never gave up on him just like that if he showed the same desire as Gila did, remember when Gila wasn't scoring, he kept runnig everywhere and never gave up, now take a look back to Oli's Match against la Roma, he started very well (his best start with us so far) and then just vanished he was just waiting for the ball and didn't work enough to get the ball back, and honestly no one knows what was going at the training, so may be that explains why we gave him on loan!

On goal.com, it said it was part of the deal. And also if we qualify for the champions league next season we have to pay real a further 0.5M.
I think we were all for the ronaldo deal if it had no impact on our squad and minimal financial cost. Seems we've been exploited, surprise surprise.

This is one of the worst decisions our management could make. With Pippo still out of form and Gila struggling recently a third option in the CL would have been good. I have absolutely no respect for this decision!

At this point we have nothing to lose. Ronaldo is a player that will score goals. We paid nothing for him and he still is deadly. Id say a El Gordo Ronaldo is better than Gilardino anyday. Hopefully our next acquisition is Pato, then Id say we are starting to address our weaknesses up top. And of course Grimi and Oddo give us some width.
Even on Madrid they called him El Gordo and all that but he scored in virtually every game until he got injured last season. Even in the face of a bunch of ungrateful, hateful Spaniards he manages to get some points on the board. Milan is a totally different environment than Inter and Madrid. Hopefully well pull a couple more great years out him.
