Galliani said that his salaries would be lower then what has been written.
I think he will get as much as Kaka and the other top players, but unlike what he has at Real where he shares his image rights with the club he won't share them with Milan. I think it's a pretty reasonable deal.
And Ronaldo has agreed to this. So it seems there's a little more to the fat one then just the money.
As Costacurta said, he could either be a cheap flop or a cheap stroke of genius

Firstly because we'll probably avoid seeing him in the rossoneri colors and secondly because that is what Milan should do anyway; he's a player way past his prime and his team doesn't need him anymore so why should they make money out of this deal!?
Galliani in Rossoneri colors.....
Ok, I also don't think this transfer will happen, some Arabian or US club is probably willing to pay for the transfer and I don't think Ronaldo really wants to join us....he just wants to leave Real

His image right right now are shared with Real if he came to Milan he won't have to share them with the club, but his salary will be less then what he makes with Real.
The 8 million from image rights have nothing to do with us.

Nah, I'm sure the US and Arab clubs have already offered him much more then what we have. Ronaldo wants to play in Europe for a couple more years, that's why he would choose us and instead have his salaries cut.
But we can still sell him when we don' need him anymore to a US or Arab club and would make a ton of cash off their backs.

Capello Does Ronaldo And Becks U-Turn
Fabio Capello has opened the door for David Beckham to play against for Real Madrid and hinted that he wants Ronaldo to stay at the club.
The Italian coach was quoted as saying that the Beckham would not play for the Spanish giants again after agreeing to join LA Galaxy without first informing Madrid.
President Ramón Calderón made his disappointment public, for which he has since apologised, while sporting director Predrag Mijatovic stood behind the decision.
After the incredible publicitity that the move generated, Capello now appears to have made a U-turn and looks set to consider Beckham in the future.
"You cannot discard anything," he stated, when asked whether the Hollywood-bound superstar would play again before the end of the season.
"At the moment this is the line we have decided to follow but you have to be flexible.
"He is a great professional and always shows enthusiasm in training. Ideas can be changed, but it will depend on both the player and the coach."
With rumours that AC Milan want to take Ronaldo on a free transfer, Capello moved to deny that he wants the Brazilian to leave during the winter transfer window.
The Italian club have had their offer rebuffed by Madrid, but stories continue to surface that a buyer is still being sought.
"I still see Ronaldo wearing the Madrid shirt," Capello said. "The players train here every day and Ronaldo is training after a problem. He is a Real Madrid player."

Other then that we shouldn't expect any public declerations on the issue.

GALLIANI: 'Ronaldo? Everything is ready for his eventual arrival'
1/17/2007
Leaving the Football League meeting, Adriano Galliani returned to the question of Ronaldo: 'Everyone in the great Milan family, from president Berlusconi to the caretaker at Milanello, is in agreement about the player's eventual arrival. Him coming here would not mean that any Milan attacker has failed, much less Inzaghi who is Italy's top goalscorer still playing. Ronaldo is an old dream and if it comes true then good and if not we will continue on with what we have. Anyway, it is not a swap.'
Looks like it's gonna happen.

this worries me. fromt he games i've seen milan really lack speed. this allows teams to sit back and when they do decide to attack us we can never catch them on the counter. if we get ronaldo we will add another old footballer with no more pace. we have old full backs and no wingers, kaka seems to be the only guy with pace on this side. so i dunno if this is gonna help us much, unless we also by some fast player.

R9 still has speed, but in short bursts when he gets the ball. I know it's not good for fast counters but we have Oli and Kaka who are lightning fast with the ball at their feeth.
Ronaldo will thrive on the through passes and lobs coming in from our midfield. Make no mistake about this.

Milan deny Ronaldo row
Milan chief Adriano Galliani has denied that the other players are angry at the bid for Ronaldo.
“The whole great family at Milan, from President Silvio Berlusconi to the Milanello security guards, agree. They have all given the OK to Ronaldo’s eventual arrival,†said the transfer guru.
While it has been confirmed that the Rossoneri are in negotiations to bring the Real Madrid and former Inter star back to San Siro on loan, there are rumours that the rest of the squad is unhappy with the switch.
In particular, it’s claimed that Pippo Inzaghi is furious, as it will push him further down the pecking order, already sitting behind Alberto Gilardino.
“If Ronaldo does come, it won’t be signalling the failure of any of our strikers, least of all Inzaghi, the best Italian forward in activity,†added Galliani.
“Ronaldo is an old dream of mine and if it comes true then that’s great, if not we are happy with the players we’ve got. It would be an addition, not a change.â€
Meanwhile, Real Madrid Coach Fabio Capello has given his view on this transfer story amid claims Il Fenomeno has asked for his contract to be torn up.
“I see him wearing the Real Madrid jersey,†said the tactician. “While he is here, then he is one of our players.â€
Carlo Ancelotti has tried to stay out of the matter and focus on Thursday’s Coppa Italia quarter-final.
“I don’t want to talk about Ronaldo,†he noted in today’s Press Conference. “I am thinking only of Arezzo.â€
There is one new signing who could take place in that match, though, as ex-Messina goalkeeper Marco Storari is set to make his debut.
“I am proud to wear this jersey,†he told Milan Channel. “Everyone was very nice to me today and I couldn’t be happier.
“Negotiations started on Monday afternoon, when the Rossoneri found out about Zeljko Kalac’s injury. I have been training well and am ready to give my contribution.â€
Dida is also in the squad for the Coppa tie, having recovered from his shoulder injury, and it’s possible he’ll play for at least some of the game.
Milan squad: Dida, Fiori, Storari; Bonera, Cafu, Costacurta, Favalli, Grimi, Maldini, Jankulovski, Simic; Ambrosini, Brocchi, Gattuso, Gourcuff, Kakà , Pirlo, Seedorf; Aubameyang, Gilardino, Inzaghi, Ricardo Oliveira.

Ronaldo’s Milan desire Thursday 18 January, 2007
Real Madrid striker Ronaldo has admitted that Milan are the only side he wants to join – but the two clubs are yet to thrash out a deal.
The Rossoneri have reportedly reached an agreement with the player which includes his entire image rights, but now hope that the Spanish giants will release him and had initially asked for a free transfer.
“I am proud to hear that Milan want me, they are the only side I am interested in,†said the player according to Il Corriere dello Sport.
“I am 30-years-old and I want see what I can still do,†added the former Golden Ball winner, a reported target for Arabian side Al-Ittihad as well.
Real Madrid have asked Milan for £5m to let Ronaldo leave immediately, whereas the Rossoneri are only willing to pay up to £2m, a difference which has caused the deal to stall.
Intermediary Ernesto Bronzetti met in Madrid with the player’s agent Fabiano Farah and Merengues’ sporting director Franco Baldini, but the deal is still far from being finalised.
Ronaldo has also offered President Ramon Calderon to leave the club the image rights he owes for the current season, worth around £4.2m, in the hope that this will convince them to let him go.
Adriano Galliani confirmed that Milan will not negotiate with the Spanish outfit, as all conversations are being held by the player and his representatives.
“We will not negotiate with them. If Ronaldo rescinds his contract we will sign him, otherwise he will stay in Madrid,†explained the official, who hopes that the issue will be solved before January 31.

For his part, Ronaldo told Corriere dello Sport today: "I want to only become a Milanista."
Milan vice-president Adriano Galliani also said: "He is our dream."
"He is our dream".. CALM DOWN OLD TIMER.. Galliani don't speak you just make yourself look stupid. Offering the 'whole' 2m for the 'dream'.
