* Birthdays of current players
* Birthdays of selected former players and coaches (with honors won at Milan)

What do the little red squares under our avatars mean?

I'm sure the answer is somewhere in this thread but I'm too lazy to go and search for it.

it indicates the status your in. like 500 posts = 2 squares for example

would be really cool to have a storage space of up to 50mbs or something for each member so we can upload our photos!

Yeah, a photo gallery for members to share their wallpapers and photos. Besides, there are less than 25 really active members, the rest only read and don't post very often. But a decent idea, nonetheless.

I'm sure there may be plugins available for this.

On a serious note, however, from what I know, this will take a bit of a time to implement, as you'd have to customize the forum itself for this. I do have a full set of very high quality flags, or we can scout the net for more. Either way it's a great idea, one that 'World Cup Blog.com' implemented very well.

actually, most forums have a mod already made that would put flags under people's names. i've done it for other forums.

Why do we need flags?

Well, it's the name of a R.E.M. song that I like. it doesn't necessarily mean anything.

The same reason all other people need them? Why else? Anyway, it's a bit of an aesthetic touch, plus it helps get an idea of where the members are posting from.

Its not so much a need.
For now its just a nice idea to give and added sense of pride and patriotism.
