Prandelli is always gonna prefer Montolivo over Aquilani bevause of his Fiorentina days. Motta becoming untouchable is also not gladdening.

Lampard's a far better than Parker so it's an understandable change. No need for 2 DMs at home.
I just don't see our attack flowing as well with him in it, in all honesty.
Though, it's only Wales.

It's not Milner I despise in an England shirt
Imagine Harry Redknapp in charge, probably a similar level.

But it's Milner who's taken the Parker role. Lampard's playing behind Rooney.
Don't get the Lampard hate. One of the best scorers from midfielder England have ever had (I'm talking in an England shirt, not club level) and isn't even one of the 'bad guys' off the field.

Put Scotland-Lithuania on at HT, it's comedy stuff.
Lithuania break 3 on 1 and the guy with the ball just runs into the defender. Scotland have a free-kick and for some reason the defender saves it with an outstretched arm. Scotland then have the penalty saved.

A team that struggled against Andorra, Slovenia, USA & got annihilated against Germany but yet some blame everything on a referee and a manager, that's why criticism gets given too.

There's a difference between criticism and being OTT. The negative types always just label it on the 'popular players' as well, seemingly ignoring the fact that we could very well have won the game at 2-2. While there being 0% chance we lose 4-1.

I agree, we seem to have people who think Rooney and co can tear apart anything and anyone at any given time, all the time, then we have the ones who are 'what's the point in it, we never win anything, we're useless'.
My feeling is I'd expect us to qualify to be honest, quite comfortably, especially from this group. But to really get to SF and Finals which is our next step we need to beat teams of a higher calibre. In recent years when we've come across these we've just looked a shade behind. Spain, Germany in recent memory, it would have been interesting to see us play the Dutch, even in a friendly but obviously that didn't happen. I mean even when we played Ghana we were given a tough, tough game, possibly lucky to have not lost.
I think we are a lot more fluid, with Young etc in our team. Though I still have some question marks as to our possession and control of games and memory lapses ala a minute ago, which still seem to hinder us a lot more than most major international sides.
And that should have been a penalty, we look nervous again.

I think he'd probably move Young into Rooney's position behind Bent, then play with 2 from Downing, Walcott, Milner, Johnson out wide.
Parker and Barry with another solid game as a partnership in the middle. Lampard and Gerrard should struggle to get into the side at this rate.

CRON, then.

Yeah, I think too, he's the best attacker currently playing. Still needs a few years to get to that upper echelon of legends, but he very well might once he nears the wrong side of 30s. Kaka was another one who I thought had it in him to walk among the giants, but injuries and form just took it all out of him.
But yeah like I said, this generation still has a country mile or two to walk before they get to the AAA status.
