Prandelli is always gonna prefer Montolivo over Aquilani bevause of his Fiorentina days. Motta becoming untouchable is also not gladdening.

Lampard's a far better than Parker so it's an understandable change. No need for 2 DMs at home.

I just don't see our attack flowing as well with him in it, in all honesty.

Though, it's only Wales.

And all the fluidity of the side has gone... what a surprise.
kurtsimonw
Nah, about the same as Friday. Just Wales are playing better at the back than Bulgaria did. Milner's come in for Parker and done a good job at CM.

It's not Milner I despise in an England shirt biggrin.gif

Imagine Harry Redknapp in charge, probably a similar level.
kurtsimonw
But it's Milner who's taken the Parker role. Lampard's playing behind Rooney.

Don't get the Lampard hate. One of the best scorers from midfielder England have ever had (I'm talking in an England shirt, not club level) and isn't even one of the 'bad guys' off the field. unsure.gif

Best. Winger. In. The. League.

1-0.

So was Bobby Charlton in the 60's but I don't want him playing.

It would be like me trying to get sense out of you with Redknapp's success, it 'ain't' happening tongue.gif
kurtsimonw
Redknapp aint had much success though and he's bankrupt every club he's been at! Our W/L is also better with Lampard than without. tongue.gif

HT 1-0.

San Marino 0-0 with Sweden nearly HT. ohmy.gif

He's been inspirational in the World Cups laugh.gif

Ok, I'm leaving it, I don't hate the guy. He was a great footballer.

laugh.gif at Sweden.
kurtsimonw
Put Scotland-Lithuania on at HT, it's comedy stuff.

Lithuania break 3 on 1 and the guy with the ball just runs into the defender. Scotland have a free-kick and for some reason the defender saves it with an outstretched arm. Scotland then have the penalty saved.
kurtsimonw
Redknapp and Ash's lovechild on for Lampard!
kurtsimonw
Jesus Christ. Earnshaw just missed an open goal. blink.gif

Get a 2nd now, come on!

More then one? Usually we had Pirlo with either Rino or Cassano - no?
Jack Sparrow
Nah..towards the end of last season...Pirlo was injured..Nesta was retired. I think we just had Rino.

Hopefully next season it looks like this biggrin.gif

Respect gone up massive amounts for Montengero. Not only were they respectful during God Save the Queen, they applauded it. Very big well done to them. Hopefully they make it to the Euros (not at our expense).

Young again.
kurtsimonw
Thought they were a bit better than this. Aside from that bit of skill from Vucinic in the box they haven't got it out of their half.

anyone got a solid stream for italy - serbia?

See if this one works for you.
kurtsimonw
Bent, 2-0. Nice passes from Rooney and Young to set it up.
Milan Are Brilliant
Bit too easy really. Though at least we're getting the job done this time unlike a year or so ago.
kurtsimonw
Booo, 2-1.
Milan Are Brilliant
Oh, hang on we are capable of f'ing things up still.
kurtsimonw
Poor mental error to conceed right before HT like that.

I await the "OMG WE'RE THE WORST TEAM IN THE WORLD! THE WORLD IS GOING TO END!" tweets for the next 15 minutes.

It's the same with the people who overhype us.

A team that struggled against Andorra, Slovenia, USA & got annihilated against Germany but yet some blame everything on a referee and a manager, that's why criticism gets given too.

There's a difference between criticism and being OTT. The negative types always just label it on the 'popular players' as well, seemingly ignoring the fact that we could very well have won the game at 2-2. While there being 0% chance we lose 4-1.

I agree, we seem to have people who think Rooney and co can tear apart anything and anyone at any given time, all the time, then we have the ones who are 'what's the point in it, we never win anything, we're useless'.

My feeling is I'd expect us to qualify to be honest, quite comfortably, especially from this group. But to really get to SF and Finals which is our next step we need to beat teams of a higher calibre. In recent years when we've come across these we've just looked a shade behind. Spain, Germany in recent memory, it would have been interesting to see us play the Dutch, even in a friendly but obviously that didn't happen. I mean even when we played Ghana we were given a tough, tough game, possibly lucky to have not lost.

I think we are a lot more fluid, with Young etc in our team. Though I still have some question marks as to our possession and control of games and memory lapses ala a minute ago, which still seem to hinder us a lot more than most major international sides.

And that should have been a penalty, we look nervous again.
kurtsimonw
Definitely another goal in this, players failing over all over the place.
kurtsimonw
Rooney rightfully sent off for a silly kick out. Suspended for the start of Euro2012 should we make it. Stupid mistake. Just hold out for a draw now, no need to commit at all.
Milan Are Brilliant
Nice Rooney, and now you're banned for the Euro group stage, nice.

I personally wouldn't put Rooney anywhere near Zidane, but I know the point you are trying to make. There's only one other current player I think is near Zinedine to be honest.

Yeah the sending off was the comparison I was trying to make. I agree there's only 1 player around at the moment near ZZs level of ability. I imagine it's the same one as you are thinking.

You rate Titus Bramble too then cool.gif

Hopefully hold out for the victory, not sure who will start for us in the Euro's now, Wellbeck & Bent (barring injury)?

I think he'd probably move Young into Rooney's position behind Bent, then play with 2 from Downing, Walcott, Milner, Johnson out wide.

Parker and Barry with another solid game as a partnership in the middle. Lampard and Gerrard should struggle to get into the side at this rate.

CRON, then. laugh.gif Yeah, I think too, he's the best attacker currently playing. Still needs a few years to get to that upper echelon of legends, but he very well might once he nears the wrong side of 30s. Kaka was another one who I thought had it in him to walk among the giants, but injuries and form just took it all out of him.

But yeah like I said, this generation still has a country mile or two to walk before they get to the AAA status.
kurtsimonw
2-2.

England qualify and Montenegro get the playoff spot.
