I hope he decides to come back.

So do I, at least for one more season!

But which Milan fan doesn't tho?

I'm happy that he decides to leave then to just sit on the bench but I never knew this day would come

Agreed

Interesting, how come though?
Rossoneri7
Well, he is a player that has done a lot for this club, just as Seedorf, Inzaghi, Gattuso, etc ... It's good to leave with his head held high, without being scratched by the critics; that's the analogy behind my comment above smile.gif

Cool that's fair enough, and I respect your opinion.

However, watching the likes of the very inconsistent & overrated Mexes (being touted as half of our starting CB pair), I can't help but feel that Nesta could have made an ample contribution to this team still (at the very least as rotational player of some sort)

Report came out that Nesta signed for Montreal, good luck Nesta,we will miss you sad.gif
Zed.D
Good luck to him, congrats to mtl!

How can you say this with so much certainty?

Nothing is certain. Yet, I knew Nesta with 23 and I know Acrebi. I don't think there's much space for him to become as good as Nesta, I just don't see it in him. Maybe I'm wrong.

Who said he could become as good as Nesta??? The possibility of that happening is 0,01%. After all, Nesta was by far the best defender of the last decade. I'm just saying that Acerbi might have the potential to become a great defender, that's all.

When you said next best thing I assumed it was more then "just" great.

Yes, maybe more than just great, but not Nesta-level.
CrazyMilanFan
i had similar hopes for Bonera and he turned out to be average to below average imo.. so let see how acrebi turns out. I hope he turns out to be good.
Zed.D
I can't judge him until I see him with Milan (never paid much attention to him with Chievo tbh).

Can anyone tell me what's with the ridiculous mustache though? does he still have it?

That's a mole not a mustache...
KillerMax
Great, now we have a mole!

I realized that after I made the post but... it's not the 19th century or something. what's a mole doing there? I bet he likes it otherwise he would've gotten rid of it.

It's a mustache, not a mole.

His mustache makes the mole look slightly less prominent. Look at every other picture of him, especially ones where he is clean shaven. It's a mole.

Really?? It's huge and right under his nose. I'd circle it in paint but I'm at work on my phone.

X man I'm starting to think there might be something wrong with your eyes haha. It is most definitely still there in that picture. It's just a little obscured by lighter shaded hair on top of it.
X-Offender
Hah, maybe. It's much more evident in the other picture.
Fillipo Simone
It's a mole he's hiding with his silly mustache. That's all.

I hope the difference in looks will not be the same as the difference in footballing quality.

He did not say what you just implied, and I honestly don't find his comment disrespectful.

"I wanted to go to America, but didn't get any big offers"

^^It's exactly what he says. As I said above, wanted America, no offers, had to settle for Canada. It's what jumped right out at me as soon as I read the thing.
Fillipo Simone
Hmh, I didn't look at it that way. Might be. But I still don't find it disrespectful.
Bluesummers
Don't blame him. If your made out of money, the states is where you want to be. Better quality of life than Canada forsure.

Lower taxes, more things to do and see .. etc etc.

I think he meant the MLS.

Has he played there yet?

Nah, the previous part of the quote mentioned MLS.

"I’ve been considering the MLS for years now. After I left Milan, I wanted to go to America, but I didn’t get any big offers."

I'd find that pretty insulting as a Montreal fan.
