Nesta is essential to Milan. Pato is very important, too. I wonder what will happen if they stay healthy all season long.
He's out about a week, Amelia to blame!

Well this season if Nesta is out we have decent replacement. As opposed to last season where it was either Favalli or a constantly injured Bonera.
Hopefully the Ben Arfa deal goes through. So we can have some actualy depth in attack, not just Dinho and Pato, and 3 strikers who can only play in the same position (head of the attack)

I don't get that he is out for a week because of his hand and the reason is he hit Ameli.
So what the reason he hit Amelia
Bluesummers
Aug 17 2010, 08:59 PM
See samira, amelia has been trying for weeks to get this girl in milano to fall in love with him. He was with nesta one day at the mall and they saw her and went over and talked to her.
Nesta unconsciously gave the girl one of these looks and being as pretty as he is...

she fell totally and helplessly in love with him. She couldn't take her eyes off of him anymore. Amelia tried to get her attention by doing everything he knew how; but it was too late. She got the famous "nesta look" and now she doesn't want anyone else let alone amelia.
So amelia was really pissed and angry

He decided to take it out on nesta and he grabbed his hand and gave it a ps3 controller and fifa eventhough he knew galliani said its against the rules for nesta to play those games.
Thus, after 12 hours of non stop play; nesta's hands were done

and thats how it happend

Thiago Silva: "Nesta will leave at the end of the season".
LinkBasically, he says he wants to play with us till he gets 40, like Maldini. Then he says he's sorry for Nesta leaving, as this could
probably be his last year at Milan, or football in general.

I don't understand how can Maldini play for till the age of 40,and nesta can't play till 36-37.I don't know if he lost the desire, but he's definetly not showing it(the loss of desire)on the field. He's been great, and he will leave a big gap unless someone like David Luiz comes.Even so,he will be missed.

Class means nothing if your body can't keep up. Sadly, that's the case with Nesta nowadays. It has nothing to do with class.

Nov 26 2010, 01:04 AM
Maybe he's just tired of football. He's played football since he was 5 years old. Not everyone is Maldini.
Nesta also has nothing to prove to anyone; he's world class. We know and the world knows it. He's still ranked in the top 10 CB in the world and that says alot considering he didn't even play last season.
That can kill motivation. We'd all like him to play next season but in reality its better that we sign his replacement sooner than later if Sokratis isn't it.

That's not what I meant at all. If Nesta thinks he can't play at high levels anymore because his body could fail him, then he'd better hang the boots than accept a marginal role as substitute. Maldini played till his last season as a starter, the same should happen to Nesta. Get it?

Would be sad if he quits Milan after this season, but I will support his decision whatever it will be. If he leaves us, we should sign an experienced player to play along Silva. Though I will make an exception for Luiz.
Comparing Nesta to Maldini is not fair considering the back problems Nesta had to deal with. One is more lucky than the other. Since Maldini retired, Nesta has been in my opinion the real captain of the team, but his promise...

We could say the same thing about Maldini, Gattuso, Pirlo, Ambrosini, Seedorf, Inzaghi etc. But the main protagonist in the 2007 run was Kaka'. He won us the Champions League single-handedly.

By saying Kaka won the CL single-handedly, you're implying Milan could have done without Seedorf, Pirlo, Gattuso, Nesta, Inzaghi and Maldini, which I think most would agree with me is not true at all. He was the best player in the world at the time, and of course he played a massive part in Milan's triumph, but single-handedly? Come on.

Perhaps you shouldn't be taking it so literally. I'm just saying that he played the most important part in our victory. Sure, many other players were important as well, but it's safe to say that without Ricky, we wouldn't have won jack sh!t.

Then again, with a defender inferior to Nesta you probably wouldn't have made it either, or without an enforcer like Gattuso, or a goal poacher like Inzaghi. By all means, I've already said Kaka was the CL's best, as well as the planet's best player at the time, but he wasn't as dominant as people seem to think.

This is a team sport, this single-handed thing is pure BS IMO. Kaká was best Milan in 2007 because of that, but not of the whole decade, that's my opinion. Nesta has been like the whole decade the best defender there is? That's strong. People though rather go for an attacking player even though he has been awesome in that decade less seasons than such a star defender like Nesta. Jack mentioned Maldini, not LAST decade IMO, Jack.

My point is that saying having the CL top scorer in your team is enough to single-handedly win a tournament is ridiculous. 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2010, in none of these seasons the CL top scorer's team won the title.
Hell, Van Nistelrooy scored 12 in 2002-03 and United went out in the quarters.
