Man U also with another lucky draw rolleyes.gif

To be honest they'd get through any group, it's Barca, then them, then everyone else.
X-Offender
We got a pretty decent group in the end. Just must avoid losing to Barcelona.
CrazyMilanFan
Oh not bad we should go through

We'll lose in Spain, hopefully we take the draw in San Siro.

But we must win the other 4 matches. those will decide everything. Barca will obviously will all those games
han2503
Trazaspor or whatever they're called with Inter laugh.gif

They couldn't have drawn a better group themselves

That's what you have the chance of getting when you are a top seed.
Fillipo Simone
Well, I'm very pleased with the draw; I only wanted Zagreb with Milan. Ah, well...

And dst, why was a child representing Olympiakos?

For how many games? The Barca-Milan games will most likely be back to back, so his suspension could be over by then

7 time CL winners and Serie A champions ...

With some incredible players, we can also beat barcelona !!! Gotta give that a big shot as if it was a knockout game, im glad we drew barca and two weaker sides wink.gif
mishie
be interesting to see how we measure up against Barca just to see how far we've progressed as a team and no better test than against the best side currently on the planet
kurtsimonw
Loving Group A.

Please with our group overall. Not going to win the group so the Barca gamre are irrelevant. Just gotta win the other 4.
Danny
Apart from Barca, obviously, totally delighted with what is maybe the weakest pot 3 and 4 teams of all time.

Only quibble is we're unlikely to win the group which makes the last 16 that bit more tricky.

Because that is usually how it works, rarely do you see 2 big teams in a group where they don't play the 2 back-to-back games

We can beat Barca at San Siro. It's not impossible.

Zlatan would be extra motivated.
X-Offender
I'm not worried about the Barça games. We might beat them at home and draw in Spain for all we know. However, whereas Barça will definitely win all other games, we're probably gonna botch a couple, Milan style, and finish second.
X-Offender
Alright, that was a lie. I am worried about the Barça games. But you get my point. biggrin.gif
Darunia
I think well easily qualify in second and at least we can't draw barca in the round of 16..
X-Offender
Yeah, I guess our going through is unquestionable. But, we must try to gain the first spot. If we can withstand Barcelona, then it means we're ready to aim for the title. However, we still need Kaka' to be perfectly competitive.

Fixtures:

Barcellona-Milan, 13 settembre 2011
Milan-Viktoria Plzen, 28 settembre 2011
Milan-Bate Borisov, 19 ottobre 2011
Bate Borisov-Milan, 1 novembre 2011
Milan-Barcellona, 23 novembre 2011
Viktoria Plzen-Milan, 6 dicembre 2011

We should grab those 9 points in between the two games with Barça.
Rossoneri7
Barca .. You have met your match devilsmiley.gif

We should qualify no problem 2nd of the group is most likely, but I am relishing finishing above Barca. SuperPippoInzaghi .. Fingers crossed he's available for this one!!

Only way we can beat barca, is to play an agressive and fast pressure system and counter attack when we get it!

Sure can't wait for these 2 games. Wonder what the tone of discussion will be...

"I think we can beat Barca, if we play the right way"

"Ha, are you serious? It's freaking Barca, they have Xavi, Messi, Iniesta and have added Sanchez/Fabregas since they obliterated United in the final last season. We lost to Spurs last year and we are talking about beating Barca, really?"

"Why do you say it like that? We are fans of Milan, we are meant to support our side. We are the Serie A champions, have won the CL 7 times and I believe we have the players to trouble them. Xavi needs to be on his game to really get Messi involved, can he get past Silva? I'm not sure."

[At this point all hell breaks loose for another round of C.Ronaldo v Messi debates]

"There's being supportive, then there's being what I'd deem unrealistically blinded by bias"

"I don't think you know about Milan, the history, the family of the club, we come above adversity, you don't seem to understand that, we always have done."

"Yes I know about the history but I still think you're being overly optimistic"

"Ok, ok, you obviously don't know much about Milan, so I don't see any reason discussing it with you"

And repeat... well, maybe wink.gif tongue.gif

Allegri will never consider Emanuelson for leftback. Zambrotta will play there until Taiwo recovers. Also, switch Kaka' with Robinho, or even better, replace Robinho with Pato.

Abbiati
Abate - Nesta - T. Silva - Zambrotta
Aquilani - Van Bommel - Boateng
Kaka'
Pato - Ibrahimovic

We can stop Barca if we have the right mindset. our players need to believe themselves and don't start the games as if they've already lost them. with some of them, I'm just not sure. and Allegri is no Capello (read Mourinho tongue.gif )...

I think a draw @ San Siro and probably a heavy defeat @ Camp Nou is what's it's gonna be (especially since it's the opening game and the atmosphere over there is gonna be too much to handle for us).

Seedorf: Beating Barça would be great, Ibra is motivated

QUOTE
The number 10 AC Milan Clarence Seedorf is confident and full commenting on his team's Champions League group on social networking site Twitter: "Barcelona is a great team, but not unbeatable, and if they win, will mature better conviction for the second phase. Ibrahimovic will have even greater reasons, for me, I focus on each game, but beat Barcelona would be great. "The Dutchman added: "In football, if you want to be a champion you can not choose your opponents. And for football fans, this will be a great game! "The" Professor "concluded his remarks saying goodbye to all his fans with a warm" Forza Milan ".

Both Pique and Puyol are out for about 3 weeks, so they might not make it till September 13, but it'll close.

It does imo. They don't have any other good CBs, like today, Mascherano and Abidal, already a couple of mistakes that could have cost them, yet the only mistake that mattered was the one Porto made.

Put Zlatan up against them and they'll have trouble, we'll just punt it at him and he'll get the better of them at some point, however, if you have Puyol and Pique back there, it's another story completely.

i think Barca could have my mum and dad at centre half and we still wouldn't beat them! laugh.gif

They made some big mistakes today but got bailed out for one reason or another, I don't get why they didn't stick Hulk at CF and punted it at him, they would have probably gotten more out of it then trying to beat Barca at their own game.

They're still top class CBs, while the other 2 are not even CBs, Masch and Abidal are more likely to make ametour mistakes like they did today then an unfit Puyol and Pique

Cesc already won the same amount of trophies as in Arsenal and it only took 12 days biggrin.gif
