It's obvious to me that Cassano will see out the remaining 2 years on his contract and then walk for free to Samp. he won't be able to contribute to us past 32 anyway. right now he has to stay even if he prefers to go back to a lazier place.

I fell in love with the guy earlier on, but nowadays he's immensely irritating.
through out his whole career he has had that "don't give a fluck" attitude, i have a afinnity to him becuase he comes from Bari (and is still worshipped there) but i can understand why people can't take to him.

I just consider him a very talented player, but a very naughty human. How he faltered and wasted himself at other big clubs, Roma, Madrid and more, it's somewhat depressing, if anything. I do not pay much attention to what Cassano says. I think he is a very good player and I actually find him a likeable person (if you ignore the occasional “Cassanata”). However, I fear he is a bit lacking in what people these days call EQ, so he just says what he feels at the moment without considering the implications. As a result, he provides lots of material for journalists.

Like I said most international player (particularly famous Brazilian ones) are a commodity for this Milan management. If they can be bought, they can be sold. At a decent price, of course.
I'm used to seeing Pato as number 7. Because I still can't imagine anyone else wear the shirt left by my favourite player of all time, that is Andriy Shevchenko.

Apparently there was a long and intense discussion between Allegri and Cassano at the end of the training session today in the US, the contents of which are unknown, but it's very possible that Allegri told him now that Silva and Ibra are gone it's up to him to become an important leader of this team.

Ah well, I'm not disappointed by losing him, more so the deal we got for him, it's just another one on the list this summer.
