Anyway, if Robinho is definitely staying, my only wish is that he trains hard this month and a half to least be in good shape when the season starts.

Good shape? He was constantly awful throughout the whole last season. I don't know man, I seriously doubt he's any good. Even Emanuelson has his brighter moments.

I think his main problem is match fitness. He seemed sluggish and chubby in the second half of last season. If he manages to get back in good shape, that'd be half as bad.
Fillipo Simone
I really hope you're right. But somehow it seemed to me he lost his touch. Then again, it's a WC season, he might just give everything he has to star for Brazil once again.
X-Offender
Apparently Robinho has been the most in form player in these first few days, according to numerous reports.

Niang has been very sharp as well. Not that i expect the MF collective to ever let him live down his first season in a new country, a new culture and all this at 17yo. NDJ has also looked very ready to go.

I think we're still trying to sell him.

Have you guys seen Robinho's latest pic? He looks his former self physically. I think he lost a few pounds.

he's been playing a deep lying position (almost as a Treqquie) recently

AC Milan announces that Robinho has extended his contract to 30 June 2016.

Well, we extended Silva's contract then we sold him. one would think maybe the same could happen to Robinho? but don't think so... because it's always the opposite of what you want. always the shittiest scenario happens.

The only light at the end of this dark tunnel is next year's WC. hopefully Robinho is deluded enough to think he has a chance of playing for this new Brazil, so he tries to shape up.
milanbuf88
Are the terms public? Did he at least take a pay cut?

according to Sky Italia’s Di Marzio, his new salary is €3-3.5 million per season

@Milanello Robinho's salary has been reduced to about €3-3.5m, and it will be spread out over the next 3 years.
Bluesummers
What does it mean it will be spread out
Jack Sparrow
Good question. Coz on twitter, I see a contract extension. Meaning he is earning 3 to 3.5 million spread out over 3 years. If that's true that's one heck of a deal. Too good to believe. I don't think so though.

Unless it's some kind of a guaranteed payout, no matter when his contract with Milan ends, he earns that much sort of thing.

That was a typo.

The 3.5m is for each year of his contract. And not spread out over the 3 years.

If that were the case he would have gone to Santos for that reduction

Such a huge reduction! How did they manage to find a compromise??? ohmy.gif

Robson, you sure are robbing us son. sleep.gif What's your TCO, 50 or so million in total?!
Linkman
This season he has 4 assists and 2 goals in Serie A, in 8 matches (6 starts). So he's responsible for 6 out of our 14 scored goals.

Promising start, I'll come back to these stats by the end of the season.
X-Offender
Came across this. What ever happened to this guy? The level of skill he possessed was insane, not to mention his speed and pace were outstanding. But somehow he's lost all of that. And it's not like he had any injuries like Pato. It just slowly faded away, and at a very young age nevertheless. Weird.
Linkman
That must've been what, four years ago? The year before the world cup.

...so he lost his mojo with us. With Milan and Allegri.
Fillipo Simone
I think he lost it with Madrid and City as well. He started to become a liability - something I fear Neymar could become. He lost form, got older - slower, plus in you don't face such terrible defending in Europe usually.

I thought he was always great with Madrid. And his first season with City was pretty good, too. I think the turning point was in his second season there with all the rumble and him going back to Brazil for a few months before we signed him.
X-Offender
Robinho was called by Scolari for the games against Honduras and Chile.

Oh, let the guy enjoy the moment, will ya?

It's a fair reward for putting in effort for us.

I really hope he goes to the world cup. He has experience none of the other young ones has.

I'd prefer Kaka if experience is the criteria.

But the more important thing is, hopefully this nudge by Scolari will have positive influence and push Robinho to do even more. Hopefully.
Linkman
Oh I want Kaká to go too! Brazilian commentators say that Scolari will take one of Kaká and Ronaldinho.

...as much as I'd like to see Dinho, I don't think it'll happen. sad.gif
han2503
Robinho deserves it, he's been playing well for us, and now with Kaka also finally being able to show that he's still got it, I'm sure he'll get his call up as well.

I think it's smart of Scolari to bring at least 2 or 3 figure heads in the team, experience in these tournaments is greatly important. Yes Brazil atm have an amazingly talented side with some greatly talented young players as well but they do need some experience in there.

Silva isn't young now but he hasn't had many big tournament experience, Luiz can be a major idiot, and Alves is not a defending titan by any stretch of the imagination, his defensive frailties are simply hidden by the club he plays for.

If Kaka stays fit this season and continues to show this kind of form then he has to be included in that squad

Oh, the perennial lose can enjoy it all, for all I care. wink.gif Robinho's a sucker through and through, and never has been a world beater, a world class player, let alone an important one for any team he played. World Cup 2006, World Cup 2010, two big stages, two big let downs. Even Pele finally decided to call it quits and said that Robinho is not the man.

Now if Pato again misses out because of this Robson guy, then that would be a shame, eh? sad.gif Besides, if the guy is playing at 50 for us at the moment, what does it matter if he gears it up to 70 just because he sees a chance to secure a World Cup seat. Brazil isn't winning anything major if he is becomes a regular, and neither are we.

As for the call up, yeah, I guess he can enjoy it. We could have had two young quality players for the 18m we paid to secure his signature. Can't decide who is a bigger loser between him and Galliani. dry.gif Heck, throw in a couple million extra and both Strootman and Lamela would be playing for us, instead of this leech.

How uncharacteristically negative of you, acid!

Yeah, I guess you can say that. unsure.gif There are some people who I believe are seriously undeserving of the position they find themselves in. Robinho played pretty good with Santos with his endless pedalas and step overs. This hype carries him over to Real Madrid, where he was lackluster in my opinion.

Manchester City again, pretty pathetic, never did his talents justice, or maybe did not even have all that much talent to begin with. Then the bald idiot had an epiphany and brought the sucker here, thinking he was starting a new project or something. Well, some legend Robson has become here, right?

Anyway, my major point of contention is the Brazil NT, as that is the only team I follow and support on the International stage. And here too, he has been ineffective. Now if the loser takes a spot away from a deserving player (not necessarily Ronaldinho or Pato) then that would be clear and present injustice.

Not to mention we'd be treated to his stupid looks that he makes after missing chances, swirling his eyes left and right looking for someone to blame before putting his hands on top of his skull. dry.gif I'd rather some young kid go on his place and play his heart out.

Because really, it will be another case of Robinho putting in 70% at best, and that is 30% less than what is needed to win the World Cup. His shtick will last for a match or two, maybe until the quarters, if we are lucky, and then at the very stage the team needs to work as a cohesive, oiled up machine, he (along with other losers) will falter.

I mean, if you miss goals like he does, what kind of a striker are you? huh.gif Huh, punk?

What the hell, what an absolute disgrace that he played for us and this occured in Milan. We should remove his thread as an act.
X-Offender
Jeez. No wonder he was so crap in his years with us. He was more concerned with ****** people.
han2503
Disgraceful.
