Seems like Galliani is "unfireable" with his protections clauses.
But this seems so far fetched, I'm hardly believing it. Firstly, why would Conte want to quit Juventus, a winning side, and go to Milan? Secondly, why would he now do both the Italian NT job and a managerial position at Milan? This last happened what, in the 1930-s or something? Bah, can't believe this could be true.

Inzaghi won't get sacked. An Italian radio program made a prank call on Galliani by impersonating Sampdoria's president Ferrero. Galliani said that unless a biblical catastrophe happens we'll continue with Inzaghi till June, and that we'll end up with either Destro or Osvaldo on loan with right of purchase.

He quit Juventus out of disagreement over transfer policy, that was it. It was a shock to everyone but if we'd managed to get him at Milan at the time he wouldn't have become Italy coach.
Many managers/players have switched between Milan and Juve so it's not that far-fetched.
PS we've offered 1.5M for Palermo's Munoz, and we're back in for Taarabt. Sadly there's not a midfield link in sight.

Have to wonder ... do they not see the glaring problem at midfield? Or are we struggling to find "parametro zero" midfielders, so we just pretend we don't really need any? Aaaargh!

Galliani Tricked Into Revealing AC Milan Transfer Targets

Galliani - AC MilanAC Milan vice-president Adriano Galliani has been tricked into revealing details of the club’s transfer plans.
Genoa based radio station RDS called Galliani and one DJ mimicked the voice of Sampdoria president Massimo Ferrero, causing Galliani to divulge the Rossoneri’s targets.
“Life, as in football, is made up of ups and downs. You have to be calm when you win, and calm when you lose, because life is like a spinning wheel,” Galliani said.
The 70-year-old was then quizzed on the future of Milan coach Filippo Inzaghi, as it is rumoured he will be sacked should the club fail to beat Lazio in the Coppa Italia.
“For us [Milan] it is hard because we don’t understand what has happened,” Galliani continued. “We went ahead against both Lazio and Sassuolo early, then you think the game is decided then… instead [it isn’t].
“Inzaghi won’t be sacked, unless there is a kind of biblical disaster. He will be with us till the end of the season.”
The topic of conversation then moved to the transfer market, with Milan being linked with a number of strikers during January.
“I am looking for a striker, but only on loan,” the vice-president stated. “We will end up with [Mattia] Destro or [Pablo] Osvaldo, with the option to buy.
“And for you [Stefano] Okaka is available on loan and availability to buy?”
Found this made me chuckle a little oh Galliani ...

Not much news to be honest everyone knew who we were after anyhow..

Taarabt to make sensational Milan return apperently doubt it will happen tho.
Taarabt has made no secret of his desire to return to the San Siro following a well documented public spat with current QPR boss Harry Redknapp.

You can put Fabregas in this team and he'd still suck. When there's no game individual performances don't make a difference. That's why Pippo had to go and someone experienced brought in, so this team can start playing football again. But no, that's out of the question for our management.

Can't agree with any of that. Menez has singlehandedly dragged us at times with individual magic, and there are other individuals having decent seasons like Abate, Alex, Lopez, Bona and, now and again, De Jong.
But I do agree Pippo's castrating the team performance as a whole and clearly needs to quit.

Menez aside (and that's been very sporadic), no one else has been able to drag us into victory by their skills alone. That's not how football works. Teamwork is what really matters. Individual performances are complimentary to that.

Hadjuk Split have offered Milan 22-year old midfielder Tino-Sven Susic. 5 caps for Bosnia, Wiki has him as having had an excellent season last season (2013/2014) but this year he's barely featured apparently. If he's been offered there has to be some fall out reason behind it.

But unfortunately Pippo won't play him.

Feb 2 2015, 01:03 AM
I think he's mediocre. Just like Antonelli. Just like Bocchetti. These are typical Galliani panic buys because we're short of defenders at the moment so let's go crazy on the market for trash that will probably have the same fate as Mesbah, Legrottaglie, Zaccardo and brothers.
I wonder, was Palleta really necessary? Why did we get Bocchetti then? In total now we have 12 defenders. 12!!! Didn't even bother signing a playmaker. This management makes me sick...
Fillipo Simone
Feb 2 2015, 02:17 AM
But wait...now I'm stunned. Bocchetti can play a fullback, but Palletta cannot? Horrible singing, completely pointless.
Danny
Feb 2 2015, 02:48 AM
Don't agree with either of you re: opinion on this signing. I agree we didn't really need ANOTHER defender but he's the best one we've signed by far.
He will partner Alex.
Hopefully we won't see Mexes or Rami ever darken this team again, and despite my personal affection for Zapata his days are clearly numbered now.
Bocchetti has been signed as utility - when we're without MDS or have injury problems in central defence he can cover both. Sadly, if tonight's display is anything to go by, he's no better than Armero in that slot. We knew so little about Bocchetti and despite a decent career in Russia he's come back and looks lost.
I know even less about Antonelli so can't make any judgements on him till I see him. But I do like Paletta.
PS will you spell him right! Paletta!

Totally agree with this. Just ridiculous!
We spend an entire summer trying to clear dead weight like Zaccardo, we're unsuccessful in doing so, so what do we do? Spend the entire winter window adding more dead weight...
Just baffling.
We have 4 decently good CBs in Alex, Rami, Zapata and Mexes. Those are all enough. Brining in Bocchetti and now f@cking Paletta, a Mesbah level player is just beyond ridiculous. Meanwhile our midfield is still terrible
